  • My second leg day since my gym opened back up, and first day I was able to use the squat rack again. The first leg day back, both racks were in use and people like to hog them and do split sets for 45 minutes. I'm not quite where I was before COVID shut everything down, but I'm a lot stronger still than I expected myself…
  • I murdered my legs yesterday at the gym, between squats and deadlifts and all of the leg machines. They were definitely protesting when I went for my last run of the month. Not painful, per say, just dead tired and they felt like lead. I only ran 1.75 miles with my male dog, Bandit, and left my female, Koda, at home. She…
  • Are you taking pre-workout? If you are, perhaps you are caffeine sensitive. My husband can't take pre-workout past a certain point in the day or he will be up all night. He has to lift in the morning. Me? I can take pre-workout, go to the gym, come home and shower and go straight to bed with no problems.
  • @timothy45white @TwitchyMacGee Leopard geckos!
  • cats? Bert & Ernie (I've got 5 more but didn't wanna make it too hard)
  • With the way he speed kicks, I certainly wouldn't doubt it! 😂
  • I'm gonna drop the goal of 50 miles I've done the last couple months down to 30... and it might end up a combination of walking/running 😂 I've been doing good so far running outside, but pushed myself a little too hard on the treadmill yesterday and got some pretty awful braxton hicks so I'm gonna dial it back a bit.…
  • Unfortunately loose skin is mostly dependent upon genetics and skin elasticity. It can get better over time, but that usually equates to a few years, not anything quick like I'm sure you're hoping. A lot of people opt for skin removal surgery, but obviously that's optional.
  • They DO make low calorie bread. 45 calories per slice. I've also tried Sara Lee brand, but I prefer this one. Sara Lee's kind of tastes like cardboard, whereas this one tastes like bread.
  • Good news, the magnesium supplement worked! I still get mild muscle cramps in my calves at night, but they don't hurt to the point that its waking me up anymore :) The knot in my quad is still there, though, despite my efforts to massage it out. I can run and walk just fine and I hardly feel it, but I went to the gym…
  • Just wanted to be THAT person and point out that that's not necessarily true. Some people have thyroid issues or metabolic issues. My mother is a prime example. 5'1" and 100 lbs soaking wet. Even pregnant, she couldn't gain weight. She wants curves so bad. She hates her body. She's even been prescribed, by a doctor, to…
  • Thanks for all the kind words and suggestions! I'll have to look into zinc oxide sunblock...I've never heard of it before. Now, the question is...to run, or not to run tonight? A huge part of me wants to try for at the very least a mile and see how that goes. I owe it to my dogs, at least. My quad still has a pretty tight…
  • Found out why my sunburn hurt so bad 😭 it ended up blistering. This is 3 days after. I swear, I put sunblock on three times in a 5 hour period. My friends that were along didn't wear any and burned, but not this bad. On the bright side, it felt okay enough for me to run tonight. Only to be met with an awful cramp in my…
  • Absolutely, but your body will eventually tell you. I was estimating for the entire first year of my weight loss and well into maintenance. I started to become tired all the time, and my hair started falling out by the handful. Took a couple weeks off of tracking and then bought a food scale. Turns out I was WAAAYYY…
  • Depends on if you're on the mobile version or the desktop. For mobile, its a lot easier and its just under the left side menu that you can pull up under "Goals." I don't have my phone with me but its relatively easy to find. For desktop, go to "My home" and click "Goals" under that. Then click on "View guided setup" up…
  • Welcome! :) I'm also from Western Wisconsin.
  • "Phatt booty" is genetics. And "muscular" booties behave pretty similarly to fat ones when they aren't flexed, only difference is they typically are rounder and less flabby. Not saying non-muscular booties are gonna be flabby in a gross way, but if they're primarily fat...well, that's just how fat is. If you're not 100%…
  • United States, here. Ironically, I've never left my country yet, so I don't know if its even fair for me to reply. Lol. I won't be traveling, but it has more to do with where I'm at financially than it does the pandemic. If I could afford it, I absolutely would travel. I'm not sure about to less developed countries, mostly…
  • I'm definitely going back immediately. Mine is open already, but with limited hours that conflict with my work schedule. They've announced they will be 24 hours again next week and I can't wait to get back to it.
  • My midwife did tell me that I'm gaining a little bit more than the charts suggest, but that my rate of gain has been steady, and with how active I've been, that she's not worried about it and it should come off just fine :) She said every pregnancy is different and the weight gain suggestion is just that, a suggestion, not…
  • I looked at pictures of my pre-pregnancy body and my current pregnant body side by side, and after scrutinizing them, I realized I don't really look like I've gained 20 lbs. In the mirror, I feel huge. Even in my arms and thighs, not just my belly. But if you put the pictures next to one another and were to just draw a…
  • Thanks everybody for your kind words! I haven't been on in awhile. Oops! I don't think I will make my goal this month, but I am sure going to try to get as close as I can. I went kayaking with a couple of friends two days ago. I had plans to wake up early and go running before we hit the water, but I overslept, decided it…
  • I HAVE to have music when I run or I am miserable and don't even want to be doing it. Music helps me to escape and daydream as I run, I find a rhythm easier and feel more like I'm floating or dancing. My dogs run in front of me so I keep an eye on their body language to stay in tune with my surroundings, or I turn the…
  • Weight can fluctuate by a few pounds due to water depending on stress, hormones, muscles trying to repair themselves, and numerous other factors. If you're being consistent, I wouldn't worry about it.
  • I did 3 miles Friday, 3.25 Saturday, and set out to do 3 yesterday but ended up walking after 1.5 because I had shin splints. I don't understand. I've been averaging 12-15 miles a week the last 2-3 months with no issues. I don't know if maybe 3 days in a row is becoming too much, if I ran too hard the first two days, if it…
  • I agree with saving calories for later at night. I, too, find myself wanting to snack at night. So I always make sure I have 300-400 calories at the end of the day so that I can snack and still stay within my calorie goals. It's worked better for me than trying to not snack at night. That was a total failure in itself, in…
  • I would just turn the notifications off if you don't want to see any future replies because you've gotten the advice you were seeking. I know a lot of people frown upon deleting posts because they can contain a lot of helpful information that others might be able to use, even if you don't necessarily need it anymore.
  • This kind of "all or nothing" mindset is what has sent me spiraling away from weight loss and back to weight gain in the past. I would feel awful about "ruining my diet" and would think to myself, "Well, today is already ruined, might as well make it worthwhile and enjoy the rest of the day" followed by a binge and more…
  • As far as I have been told, breastfeeding alone burns 500-800 calories per day. Think about it, your baby is getting calories from you, those have to be coming from somewhere. I would then add on at the very least 500 calories to your daily calorie limit, so that you're not starving yourself or in danger of lowering your…
  • Honestly, this is gonna sound super shallow. But it was when I got my stretch marks. I had always been "not skinny, but not fat" and after high school, my eating disorder skyrocketed because I was no longer living with my parents and I gained 60 lbs. One day, my skin felt like it was burning and when I got home from work,…
