NEVER feel guilty for imprinting her mind with behaviour that will help her live a healthy lifestyle. Her watching you work out, you making sure she understands that it's high on the list of important things to do (along with brushing your teeth, eating your greens, and looking both ways before you cross) is far more…

Have you noticed a small, crying human suddenly appearing?

If you're still conflicted, google Robert Cheeke. He's a pretty high profile, vegan bodybuilder. He has diet books and information online. Personally, having been raised vege, I feel like I've served my time and deserve some bacon! But there's alternatives out there.

If a guy I was dating started trying to control when I was working out, I would absolutely NOT pander to him. If he didn't learn that I wasn't going to tolerate it, I'd leave. My guy works out and goes out whenever he wants, and I don't assume the worst because I trust and respect him. If I didn't trust and respect him, he…

Maybe he didn't accept it in himself until recently. It's not uncommon for people to take a while to figure out their sexuality. In which case, he wasn't dishonest or hiding anything. She sounds like a bigot. I can understand being shocked, angry/hurt at not knowing sooner, insecure about whether she can fulfill all his…

This is a conversation you really need to have with a doctor or midwife!

My weight fluctuates more than that in a day.

Unless it's a meal, i just log it as a snack at the time I ate it. It's not really that important. You can see if you ate 500cals over your goal one day, but 500 under the day before, and understand that it evens out.

If it's causing guilt and anxiety, it's not a treat. Why not treat yourself with something that makes you feel good about yourself instead?

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with fries. I'm a big fan of fish and chips! But they're not in the "just a vegetable" pile at that point. There's a line where I stop to consider salt and saturated fat intake, and whether it's the occasional treat or a bad habit that could impact future health.

How do you feel about tape measures? Your waist size us a huge indicator of health and health risks. Or you can take a swimsuit pic once a month? I put on anything up to 7 pounds in period bloating every month, which disappears a week later. If I was fixated on the number, I'd be a nervous wreck! But the number is just a…

You mean anyone who wants to crash diet. And it's called crash for a reason. Call me crazy, but I thought mfp was a place for people who wanted to build lifelong healthy habits, not yo-yo diet.

Unless you're talking crisps, fast food fries, or some prepacked frozen creation, it's just a vegetable! Lots of fibre and nutrients, and a healthier carb than bread.

Swimming? Resistance bands can be used seated, and you can get cycle peddles that you can use in your armchair, if movement is restricted. Have you asked a physiotherapist?

What about riding a trike?

We converted our garage into a gym, so I'm smug right now.

When I worked in care i learned something. Almost everyone seems to think the way they eat, drink and exercise is just normal, regardless of how odd it really is. It's entirely possible that someone who drank vast amounts of beer could lose considerable weight if they stopped. It's even more likely that the mindless drunk…

I've been through the functions on the ap, and can't find it. I can see calories like that (goal-consumed-burned-renainder) but macros just tell me what the remainder is.

I call it lockdown lard. At 37? It's probably less your age and more that you've been so much less active, and your fitness levels hit a new low. It just takes a little longer to get back to where you are if that happens, but you get there in the end. Unless you had the virus, of course. "Long covid", as the doctors are…

Are you including literally everything that passes your lips? Including all liquids that aren't water?

I'm not a binger, but I puzzle obsessively when I'm stressed. Something that challenges my brain makes it harder for bits of it to wander and misbehave. Jigsaws, crosswords, sudoku, etc. I also have a punchbag in the garage, because sometimes it's more of a release if you convert the emotions into anger and pound them into…

You have a nice jawline 🙂

I've had horrible cervical pain, followed by what felt like a day or two of bad period pain. I wish it was something that they warned you about as an uncommon side effect.

Why do you feel entitled to know what anyone else is eating? If they don't see the benefit of changing to public, that's their decision and they don't need to justify it to anyone.

You could see if anyone wants their dog exercised for free... Or... What about a running ap that breaks the tedium of a dull route? "Zombies, run!" springs to mind, though I'm sure there are others.

I can't wait to get home and have some haggis. Yes, seriously. With some root vegetable mash, and maybe sugarsnap peas. It's cold and i need some comfort food!
-
This morning I scrambled a couple of eggs, and served them on raw, baby spinach, with some chili and seaweed sprinkles on top. Warming comfort food for a frosty morning ☺️

I'd eat fish every day, but for three reasons. 1, as lots of people already said, the risk of ingesting pollutants. 2, the environmental impact of over fishing. 3, my other half hates the smell with a passion. Anything more adventurous than battered cod, and he's pulling faces and in a grump 😂

It's insane. I think a lot of products are deliberately misleading. They tell you the calorie count per portion, but the image on the package shows much bigger portions. No wonder people struggle!

I'm going to guess that you're still eating more than you think. Very often, the recommended serving size is considerably less than you'd imagine. Cereal, for example, is probably less than half of what most people would tip into their bowl. So if you read the box, and it says 150 cals/serving, most people actually eat…
