I would second that notion of going for walks. Getting in to nature is so therapeutic. If you want to change it up a little to make it more challenging you could also try rucking, where you load some weight in a backpack or a weighted vest, and walk with that. Alternatively, high incline treadmill walking is another way of…

I know this is going to annoy a lot of people on here. One of mine is when people say fitness 'journey'. Like... where are they even going? 😂 I've nothing against the people who do say it, but for whatever reason, I just find it jarring. Apologies in advance. 😁

Hey Melody. Sorry to read about all the difficult things you've been through. Pleased that you've taken the brave and bold decision to look towards the future and make some positive changes in your life. All the best with your fitness goals, and I hope things are looking up for you in the not too distant future.

I save up the unused calories and use them once a week. Also, I don't deduct exercise burned calories from my daily calorie total, as I don't want the excuse to eat and put what I've burned back in. My calorie goal is the maintenance calories of my target weight (approx 15kg less than current weight). The way I see it, as…

Hi Lizzy. So you're a little bit heavier than you'd like... Does that mean you want to be Thin Lizzy? 😎 🎸 Sorry, couldn't resist. Welcome to MFP. Feel free to add me. And best of luck with your fitness goals.

I think we'd need to know the nature of your eating disorder before we offer advice. However, I think being lean and toned rather than muscular and bulky are two sides of the same coin; the difference being calories. If you workout, but eat big, you will get big. If you eat a healthy amount of calories while also working…

Wasn't a bad session today, considering I was planning on taking it easy. Elliptical machine, 20 minutes. I start with the resistance on maximum (20) and the incline on zero. Every minute I decrease the resistance by one point and increase the incline by one point. This routine starts off horrendous, gets progressively…

Hello from Manchester (also sometimes from Hertfordshire and Gloucestershire depending on work). Been on here a few years, but only just started getting serious with my fitness and have decided to lean in to the social thing. Looking forward to meeting like minded UK people for mutual encouragement, advice, and high fives!…

You might have hit a plateau. Try changing up your workout routine. Is there something you always fancied trying but never got round to? Go for it. You might be surprised at the difference a change of pace makes. Good luck with it all.

Welcome my brothers! 🍻 💪

Best of luck! I've found that all it takes is eating a little less, and exercising a little more. No need for drastic changes. You can still enjoy the foods you like, as long as it's in moderation, for me it was about just having slight smaller portions of the foods I enjoy. Nothing wrong with treating yourself now and…

Baby steps. Find something you enjoy and make it part of your routine. Bit by bit the weight will come off. Gradually at first, you'll hardly notice it. Until one day you do. Can't been that feeling. Little and often. Just keep showing up. https://youtu.be/uDmAy0vIgM0

Warm up, 1km rowing machine at 1:55 pace. Barbell circuit (5 rounds, 10 reps each of Overhead Press, Back Squat, Bent Over Row, Deadlift; @40kg). 1.5 mile incline treadmill walk. 500m swimming. Lie down, exhausted, but satisfied.
