  • I have missed a couple of days posting, but I am still consistently logging my food. My weight is still on a slow decline, which is okay. I have noticed my sodium intake is very high, so I am going to cut out as many processed foods as possible. Have a great day everyone. Jesus is always with you. JFT: 15 minutes cardio…
  • Jesus thank you for this day good or bad, I am grateful to be alive to participate in today’s events. So many people have lost their lives and if given just one day to return to this earth, they would no longer let problems, obstacles, fear, anxiety, guilt, pain, or aggression hinder their progress in doing what they know…
  • I am still working hard to stick with my plan. I have to remind myself not to get frustrated when the scale doesn’t reflect what I’ve done. JFT : Pray often and believe in what I cannot see Stick with what works Cardio 30 minutes
  • Please don’t let the scale stop you. I’m also on a 1200-1300 calorie meal plan. The scale can be tricky, why? I don’t know. I made a conscious effort to track my weight daily because I’ve let the scale hinder my progress many times in the past. My weight can fluctuate up to a 5 lb increase in one day despite sticking to my…
  • I started IF 16:8, so late night eating is gone. I no longer have heartburn or acid reflux. If I get hungry, I drink psyllium husk powder or Metamucil to get rid of the hunger and increase my daily fiber intake.
  • I have been consistently losing 2lbs per week. I am doing everything that I need to and seeing the results I expected. Yet, I feel emotionally “meh”. Why? I don’t know. I have a long weight loss journey before me. I somehow need to find motivation. JFT: Stick with my plan Trust Jesus to help 20 minutes cardio
  • I have a totally different opinion on this from my own personal experience. You are right for the most part. But I am a testimony that every time I cut my calories I gain weight initially. I have done low calorie liquid diets as well as water only fast in addition to numerous other diets. I quit each one because of…

  • Happy Saturday everyone, I am near the end of my first week on MFP and I am thankful to everyone who post, because participating in the MFP community allows me to take a break from my own issues for a minute and see that real people are out there working diligently on their weight loss journey despite the obstacles life…
  • I wouldn’t say it’s a bad thing. Especially as long as you’re staying within your calorie budget. For me, I eat as healthy as possible and accept that cravings will come until they don’t anymore. So I include foods that I like in my plan such as: pizza and chicken wings, desserts and fried chicken and biscuits. I don’t…
  • My opinion is that sometimes with weight loss, you do exactly what you’re supposed to and the scale nor your body reflects that right away. But never quit. I eat less than 1300 calories daily, sometimes the scale shows weight gain and my body feels bloated. I have experienced this enough to finally understand that the only…
  • I am grateful that God is blessing me with self control and knowledge of what to do to lose 2lbs weekly. I am struggling to keep my carb intake low, but I will keep working on that. I am not rushing weight loss like I have done in the past. For me slow and steady is working. I am focused on portion control, eating in…

  • I am thankful and grateful that Jesus has blessed me with another day to show him how much I trust him by making him my comforter and not food. I will allow God to be my protector, friend, provider, and savior. I will allow the lord to handle all circumstances in my life that I cannot control. But I can control what I eat…
  • I have recently started eating a low(er) carb diet and also do IF (16:8). It’s working great for me. Since I’m just beginning, it will take some time to find the right foods that will help me lose weight, get enough protein and nutrients, and also feel satisfied. In addition, I’m also trying to reduce my sodium intake. It’s…

  • Hello everyone, I’d like to join “where the cool kids are”. I’m 42 and have a lot of weight to lose. Like many, I have stress in my life caused by situations I can’t control. I’m just getting started on a lifestyle change that has made me realize that changing my thinking and how I handle my emotions are just as important…
  • I think you are right on track. I learned aerobics from watching my mom exercise to Denise Austin, Jane Fonda, so many more. Most of those people are still in excellent physical health today, so they must have been doing something right. Stick with it, make sure you’re eating a healthy diet, and enjoy the journey.
  • I don’t, but I would consider it if I had constant hunger or cravings that would cause me to not stick with my plan. Maybe try eating the exercise calories on special occasions and track how your body responds.
  • I don’t think you need to eat more, if your goal is to stick with 1200 calories. I think you should take a look at the types of foods you are eating. Try to eat foods that are low in calories, have fiber and/or protein. Most importantly foods that make you feel full without adding extra calories. I eat under 1300 calories…
  • Hi there. You’re very young and are aware that you are prediabetic. If you start making even the smallest lifestyle changes now, you can reverse your condition. Good luck on MFP.
