@clicketykeys great job not backing down! Glad everything is ok.
@Snowflake1968 you definitely did the right thing! Those boys are lucky you happened to be there! A few years ago we had a 2 year old girl standing outside our fence, butt naked, looking at our dogs. Luckily we found out she came from the house across the street, but still.... This toddler was crossing the street and her mother didn't even know she was missing!
@HEGoddard0928 I'm sorry you're struggling, big hugs. I hope things will get easier for you soon.1 -
Good morning all! Back to work today, I'm dreading the catching up I'll have to do.. Oh well.
Yesterday was long, it took us forever to find a shop to ultimately have my car towed to. Apparently my husband and I didn't know enough about cars that when we put the wheel adapters on we tightened them way too much, which caused too much stress on my lugs on the wheel hub and one by one they were snapping off, so my whole wheel was just wobbling! We finally found a place that can do it toward the end of the day, so hopefully today we can pick it up. I guess I will have to push my workout until tomorrow because I probably won't have time tonight.
I was doing well with my calories then last night turned into a free for all. Idk if it was the stress or what but I totally lost control and had about 3,300 calories.. The day after I tried so hard and succeeded to be good 😭. Oh well.. Today is a new day..
I hope everyone has a great day!

Well last night sucked. I just spiralled down into a depression. Even cuddling with Matt in the couch didn't make me feel better. Plus I slept like crap last night. Our money issues will be figured out by Friday. We just have to make it until then. I'm back to school today after taking yesterday off. And as much as I love my job I would love to just spend today asleep. But that's the depression talking. I know that everyone says it's not surprising that I'm depressed because of how bad the last 9 months have been for us but I really really hate feeling like this. I spent my teenage years feeling this way. I never wanted to go back to that again. And yet, here I am. Oh well I guess.

depression. And yes it sucks big time. For me, it seems to hit when I really need to be at my best, or have
multiple things going on. Sometimes giving myself a pep talk helps, sometimes diving in to help
someone who needs help, preoccupation and purposefully doing things that make me laugh helps.
Prayer is definitely my strength builder. It not only opens me up to confront my issues, and gives
me an opportunity to cry and release, but a peace and calm comes over me because of my
faith in God's abilities instead of beating myself up.
Hugs my Sister. We're with you. Vent as much as you want, And try not to be down on yourself.
Cut you some slack. You're human.

Well 19 tornadoes touched down yesterday in this area!!!! Crazy but I slept like a baby right through all the storms, Lol!! (I have a local alert alarm on my phone when severe weather warnings are issued. So my phone would have alarmed if needed.)
Today is the last full day for my kids school schedule so I need to get some stuff done today! This should be the last day of cleaning and packing until the actual moving day. I need to stay focused and make time to exercise!!
Have a blessed day!!

I tracked over 3000 steps on my fitbit, took a shower washed my hair and took a little walk at our recreation area.
Almost getting back to a "normal" day. It wore me out in a good way and took a 2 hour nap. Today will be a similar day. I have good energy in the AM so I'll do some chores before PT then rest in the PM.
JFT 5/21/19
Pre-track to 1500 calories
Prepare dinner this morning
PT at 10:00 AM
Board meeting 12-1:30 via conference call
Exercises 2-3X
To the newbies who have mentioned snacking after dinner, that is my downfall too. I am working hard to create a new habit of no snacking or wine after dinner. When I look at my weight gain after retirement it was due to treating everyday like a weekend night and treating myself to an after dinner glass of wine which leads me to a lot of snacking. Take care everyone.1 -

Been MIA for a bit. Life got busy and overwhelming and in the midst of that my father passed away. Well he was my step father, but he was the only father I knew. The relationship was complicated, but he was always good to me, he loved my girls and I loved him. Unfortunately, bitterness and hate towards my mother caused him to push many joys from his life including my family. Going to his house (he always came here) was heart wrenching. He led a sad, lonely life all because he couldn’t move beyond his anger. Nothing, no slight, no attack, no hateful words are worth losing joy. You don’t have to keep negative people in your life, but you needn’t let them rule your life. Forgive and move on. It can set you free.
Today had started out bad, but I’m going to try to turn that around going forward.

I didn’t do a lot yesterday after helping the little wanderers. Rodg and I went to buy some fertilizer for the lawn and I bought some stain for the bathroom door. If it ever gets nice, I’ll get that door stained so it will be ready to hang.
Today I need to do some more crafting for the bachelorette and I need to design some tags for the wedding.

@HEGoddard0928 - I hope the next tests show something that will get Matt some quick help. It must be a terrible feeling for him. I have dealt with depression seriously 3 times that I remember. One was postpartum, it lasted for a couple or three years before I knew what it was. The second time lasted close to a year before I recognized it, the 3rd time I recognized in 3 months or so, I think that one was the easiest to handle because I recognized it earlier and was able to take some steps to help get me to a better place. I hope that you recognizing it will be helpful in climbing out of it. Hugs to you.
@aubyshortcake - You were very lucky that you didn't have a tire fly off on the highway. Hopefully all is well now.
@nlmackey98 - I'm so sorry for your loss. I so agree with you on the forgive and move on. So many people let their anger swallow them whole.
@AJB1014 - It's all coming together. When is the wedding?
I know there was a lot more I wanted to comment on, but I read through without making notes and I don't want to go through again to refresh my memory. I slept in this morning and feel like I've wasted the day already.

I just did not feel like doing what I needed to today. Went out for the day, missed lunch and had a calorific late afternoon snack instead, did not want dinner so had cheese and biscuits with port. Felt sleepy late afternoon and chose to snooze rather than going for a walk. I should be getting up early tomorrow for a swim and expect that I will struggle. Off to drink some water before bed.1 -

Donc, je me prépare....

JFT:
Yoga 30 minutes
30 minutes of whatever cardio I'm feeling
Stay within calories
5 minute meditation before yoga
drink water-fill bottle twice
Not a great day goal wise but tomorrow is another day. Did manage a 45 minute walk, but ate too much and had a few drinks. Bad idea on a Tuesday. No reason except it was nice out and I had no where to be for once. My mantra-it is what it is and I am not going to let it derail me. Tomorrow is another chance to make good decisions.3 -
Tuesday JFT:
✔▪Pack lunches
✔▪Maintain baby's daily schedule
✔▪Breakfast
✅▪Log Food / Stay under calorie limit➡️I'm under my limit technically bc of the exercise but I'm trying not to eat back my exercise calories. I ate my P.M. snack before my workout so I had a protein shake after the workout. Next time I need to hold off on the snack so I can have a recovery snack.
✔▪Devotional Time
✔▪Grocery Shopping
✔▪Continue packing & cleaning
✔▪Lunch
✔▪Exercise (x1 DVD)

A pretty good day yesterday, I went to the pub with my friend for dinner/drinks but I managed to stick to my plan and stay in control, so only ended up 200 over - which I can make back with my run this morning.
I'm on my train in to run to work. I've lost quite a bit of fitness/muscle strength due to going on holiday and not exercising, and my legs already hurt from the exercise DVD I did two days ago ... I will push through though! I've run with aching legs before and from memory the aches settle down as I get warmed up.
Yesterday's commitments:
- Log everything I eat
- Stick to food plan
- 3+ bottles water Finishing my third now. ..
- Max 3 G&T at pub, no wine I allowed myself to swap one for a wine, because I ordered a lighter dinner than I had planned. This isn't that great as I had planned to avoid wine not just because of the calories but because it has more of an effect on my willpower and self control and I knew I would need both to make me go home on time, pack bag in the morning, and get up on time for run! However, I managed to stick to just one (before switching to G&T) and then I did all the things anyway so that's a win!)
- No eating whilst standing
- Savour every bite
- Talk back to sabotaging thoughts
- Give myself credit!
- Stay positive
- 45+ minute lunch break
- French vocab (new + practise)
- French verbs (practise) Not enough time for this one. I'm challenging myself with all this French at the moment!
- French podcast
- Duolingo
- Leave work by 6.30pm :
- Train home by 22.15 latest
- Pack back for running
- Gratitude journal forgot about this one
Today's commitments:
- Log everything I eat
- Stick to food plan
- Be in the green with a 250+ deficit
- 4 bottles water
- No alcohol
- Run to work
- No eating whilst standing
- Savour every bite
- Talk back to sabotaging thoughts
- Give myself credit!
- Stay positive
- 45+ minute lunch break
- French vocab (new + practise)
- French podcast
- Talk to boyfriend in French
- Duolingo
- Finish work at 5pm
- Practice presentation before class
- Pack suitcase for long weekend
- Gratitude journal
Weekly calorie balance: 200 in red
Today's positive thought: Nearly the long weekend where I get to go home and see my mum
Words for 2019: Mindful Moderation
How I will exercise mindful moderation today: By sticking to my food plan.
I'm super busy at the moment - my scary French is in 2.5 weeks and I'm really stepping up work for it (as per the long list above....) I'm quite nervous about it but hopefully I'll be ok. I'm not too worried about the writing/reading/listening parts - we've done mock exams and I've always done reasonably, so I should pass and maybe even do well in the reading/writing (listening is always hard for me). But I'm quite nervous about the speaking as I struggle with confidence at actually SPEAKING French and we also have only just been taught about the type of exercise that we have to do, which I find hard as essentially it involves making up opinions on stuff I have no opinions on, which I struggle to do in English! So, much practice is needed.
This is keeping me pretty busy so I don't really have time to reply to posts, even though there are ones I want to reply to. So I just wanted to say that I am reading the posts (I need to know how you all are!) And sending love, best wishes and hugs to you all (particularly @HEGoddard0928 ) xx4 -

JFT 5/22
30 minutes yoga

Drink more water -Fill bottle at least twice

Did not make great choices yesterday and I'm working on just letting it go while at the same time remembering how those choices make me feel after the fact. I didn't spiral into the bad choices which is a huge improvement. I am so much better at moving forward after a poor decision than I used to be. Mantra-I will make bad choices but they are not an excuse to make even more bad choices. Also-today is a new day and I can just move forward with new knowledge.
