Meal prep, plus weighing and measuring everything!
-
I find doing meal prep is really important. Having things ready to go really takes away the stress and worry, especially when you have a busy schedule

Welcome! Using MFP had made such a difference for me and the community is awesome

Welcome!

All you have to do is the best you can each day. Good stuff man 🙏

Good job so far man, you've made some awesome changes! Persistency and accountability are going to be very important as you continue on, but you seem to have some good determination. As time goes on, don't shy away from implementing some strength training, it will help propel you towards your goal.

I used to run and the same thing happened to me after a while. I took some time off and put a lot of attention into stretching daily, until the pain went away, and then eased back in gradually, and it never bothered me again. I think it was just too much too quickly. Good luck with your journey, don't be scared to build…

The best part about MFP is that it's not a diet, it's a tool to help you make the right choices

You rock!

Not to shabby yourself sir 🙏

Always open to active supportive friends!

Give this a watch. For 140lbs I think you're eating too much. https://youtu.be/-gpYrlC87M0

Hey there, binge eating is something that I have traditionally struggled with too, I find the community on MFP helps keep me accountable. All the best with your journey!
-
If your goal is still to reduce body fat, I'd say your diet looks pretty good, you just have to keep going.
-
Yeah man I can understand that because I was the same way! Just try and remember that everyone has to start somewhere, and nobody else is really paying attention so feel free to do your thing. You'll get there!

If you haven't joined a gym yet, look for one that already had machine circuits set up! My gym has them, it really takes a lot of the guess work out and can be a lot less intimidating because you can only really use them one way, no fear of doing it wrong, looking ridiculous etc. On the flip of that, while machines are…

I agree with Steve above. Since you starter a little higher, you probably wont want to go too long, but that being said, time passes faster. I would go 4 months and see how your strength and weight has changed, along with your% fat, and then go from there
-
The more often you go, the more comfortable you will become and you won't feel so intimidated anymore. I was the same way before I really got into it, but it's been quite a game changer. Wouldn't be suprised if you changed your opinion on being ripped once you start to see progress. .

Awesome progress!

What's the plan?

I'm from one just to the east 👋
-
Haha that's the attitude to have man!

I agree with Erick on that one. Chest and triceps are both push-movements that can generally be done on the same day. Back and Biceps are often done together as a "pull" day. My split is: 1) Chest and Triceps 2) Legs 3) Shoulders (and calves) 4) Back and Biceps

How are you doing with hunger? I was losing it with 1800 lol
-
I should have mentioned, this was on 1800 calories a day. The deficit along with working out is what did the vast majority of the job in my opinion. How many calories are you eating a day now?

When I was cutting my macros were 45% protein, 30% fat, 25% carb for most of it. That's higher protein than necessary perhaps but it served it's purpose. I am 5ft8 and I went down to 139 lbs and about 9% fat (according to the scale, which is not totally accurate I know)
