Calorie-dense foods are your friends. As noted above, peanut is great. You can drizzle olive oil over many things to add lots of calories without feeling like you're eating a lot. Eggs are a great choice, and a lot of potatoes, rice, oatmeal, bananas, etc. If you're also lifting weights, don't worry about gaining fat forβ¦

The only way I can do this consistently is to eat the same thing every day

The gyms are opening soon! Anyone else been locked out for a long time and excited to get back to it? Feel free to add π

Using a food scale is a must for me. Weigh everything you can, you may be surprised to discover how little the suggested portions of things really is.

You're doing awesome man!

In my experience man that usually leads to resentment & ghosting by the reciever. I hope you find cheerleaders that support you π

Perhaps setting a goal to log your activity on your newsfeed for X number of days would be a way to get things started? You can make easy like " Walk 1/5 completed" or something. MFP works great as an accountability tool

I think that's a win! Keep up with your logging, then you can look back and see what you can change up to feel better. ps: The diary was a water tracket that can honestly help make it fun to drink water.

Hi all, please add me if you're interested in building a supportive friendship! I'm by no means perfect but I try to support everyone on my list as best I can. The gyms are closed but I'm logging every day and trying to lose a few lbs that I've put on during the pandemic. Cheers!

Nice. Haven't missed a day since i started using it. I didn't join the community until way after but I've been friends with some people for almost 2 years now, it's crazy

Pushing 700. There are day's I don't log but I always take a minute to come on.

Calorie deficit is the way to go. All the best π

Glad you're keeping up with it Jamea & you're looking ripped!

Even in winter i prefer to be in shorts and either a tank or t-shirt. I had a lot of trouble finding shorts that weren't either too long or too wide, without being skin-tight. I finally did find a good pair from gymshark (π€¦ββοΈ) just before the gyms closed again and I'm considering getting a couple more pairs of the sameβ¦

On the left is today. On the right is what I consider to be the best I've been, before covid. I will get back there πͺ

I wager that losing weight isn't what any of us want but losing fat and looking more defined is what we're after. For me that entails being in a caloric deficit. It's of course easier to retain muscle when you're lifting, which I can't do with the gym closed. My goal is to maintain a deficit and lose some of the fat I putβ¦

It depends on what your goals are, right?

Appreciate your accountability dude π

LOL if only a work-out pump would actually last. Generally speaking I look the most lean in the morning before eating, and the most jacked in the changeroom after a lift
-
The gym is closed here so I can't really do much lifting at the moment so I'm doubling down on diet to try and lose some of the covid weight.

Good idea man I suggest taking one each month and comparing as you go. It's hard to see the difference day to day but build yourself a progression

LOL call it "2021: The 'Before' Edition"

LOOL thankfully mine haven't made an appearance yet during this lockdown but I'm definitely thicker in the middle π€·ββοΈ
