Ok. It’s helpful knowing MFP follows USDA guidelines. I appreciate your reply.

@retiredandlovingit I love my Charge 5. This synching issue is very frustrating though. Honestly I don’t use all of the features. I get inconsistent zone minutes even though I do the same 45 min on treadmill at 3 mph most days. Otherwise I really like it. I am retired and loving it too!

@owholmes3 I agree 100%!

Mine isn’t working either, but I found this work-around. Every morning I go into apps on MFP before my walk and disconnect Fitbit. Then I reconnect and allow MFP to access all. Until the bug is resolved it works.

Convincing my husband to do MFP. We weigh servings and keep each other eating healthy-sized portions. The initial motivation was my high cholesterol and his high triglycerides. Fear is a powerful motivator.

I have been having this same issue for three weeks with Charge 5. Only thing that works is uninstalling both apps and reinstalling daily. So annoying!

Same issues here with Fitbit Charge 5. Very aggravating! No steps are showing in exercise. Also having synching issues. I had it paired with ipad and iPhone. Found that I have to only use Bluetooth on one device which is a pain. Have had to disconnect and reconnect multiple times. I hope this can be resolved soon! It was…

Me too…Fitbit charge

Yes, my weight stopped coming off when I stopped walking. I had a minor medical issue, but stayed under calorie goal. Took a walk today so we’ll see what happens if I get more exercise. I really don’t think I have logging errors. Not sure what you mean by “eating closer to maintenance than you think you are.” Please…

Not working for me either. Tried restarting phone and all the standard things. Grrr...

Thanks @AnnPT77. I did not know the fluctuations average out. It’s been about 7 weeks for me and It seems to be a little more accurate now. I’ve been averaging 1/2 lb loss a week which is what I’ve been expecting.

Thanks for your replies. Today I walked 60 min at level five. After grocery shopping, and normal activities at home I synched MFP. I show plus 530 calories in my diary. That seems pretty accurate to me. I am over 9300 steps so far. Comments?

But then what’s the point in striving for target heart rate?

I just did 45 min on treadmill on level 5. My Fitbit says I burned 238 calories. After syncing with MFP all I get is 99 calories for the steps. 🤷♀️

I just posted a similar question. I am a treadmill walker. I’ve been deleting the calories I get for steps and manually adding calories burned from my Fitbit app. No idea if this is what you should do.

Thanks, #Tara4boys. That makes a lot of sense. Thought I was getting cheated, but now I understand. Heading for the treadmill now...

My fitness level is light activity. I have been doing about 5000 steps a day during this heatwave. Hope to double that soon.
