  • Absolutely! I'm so happy that it's back to the perfect weather to get out and walk a few miles in the evening. I missed that so much during the 90+ degree days! And thank you! <3

I can't believe it's already autumn and less than 3 months until Christmas! I started my family's secret Santa exchange a few days ago, but I don't know where my…
  • Hey Megan, I'm not new lol but can you add me back to the step challenge for October? I need to get back into the habit of moving more and being accountable. I haven't stuck to a schedule for the past two months and I'm struggling for it. I have my little dry erase board and I'm setting up a daily schedule now!

  • Thank you, Linda! I'll get there. Hopefully next Wednesday, but no matter what I'm working toward it. I joined this group hoping that it would motivate me to just stop binging, and I can't believe that being here has motivated me to lose just under 25lbs over this summer. You guys are the best! My grandmother was born in…
  • Good Wednesday morning, everyone! Well, barely still morning for me still anyway... :) This week, things have been getting better as far as time management goes. I still haven't been perfect at logging my food, but I'm better than I was at the end of August. These days I'm striving for improvement, not perfection.…
  • Hi everyone! I thought I'd come skidding in here just before the deadline, but somehow I missed that it's already after midnight. Username: missgyst Weigh-in day: Wednesday Previous weight: 209 Current weight: 207.6 Loss to date: 24.2 lbs I'm not going to participate in the step challenge this month, even though I'm still…
  • ugh... I was on a Zoom call this afternoon and said something about it being Friday... nah, it's Wednesday. Dang it! Well, this is what enjoying my mother's 80th birthday party did to me. I'm sorry, but not that sorry. Sorry enough to correct it as soon as I can, though! Username: missgyst Weigh-in day: Wednesday PW: 207.2…
  • Steps for August 16... I'm going to take what I have on my fitbit and add an estimate from after it died and I took it off. I was at 5,503 at just before 3pm when I last looked. My sisters and I threw an 80th birthday party for my mom at one of their houses. They have an upstairs and downstairs deck, so I'd say I got…
  • Is your sleeping pill prescription? I had to stop taking Ambien because I would eat tons of food and not be cognizant of it at all! It wasn't until I'd wake up and see food out that I'd realize what I had done. I was also ordering things off of Amazon without knowing I had done it until it showed up... it was a pretty…

  • Sorry, I've overdue! I had a bit of a stomach bug for the past few days although I seem to feel better today. Kind of held steady this week but after going back up to 210 over the weekend, I'm glad to be back to where I was. Username: missgyst Weigh-in day: Wednesday PW: 207.4 CW: 207.2 LTD: 24.6
  • @mari_moulin I'm so sorry, I've been so thrown off on my sleeping schedule. It's affecting my efforts with fitness because I'm up to work at 8am, then I crash for a few hours after I sign out and here I am up until 2 am again. I'm going to pick up some melatonin so I can get back to where I'm supposed to be. I have been…

  • I usually try to look at the menu in advance, but a lot of times once I get to the restaurant I scrap my plan haha! On Monday, I went out with the plan of having grilled shrimp skewers over salad but when I got to the restaurant, they had an ahi tuna taco special. I went for the special and switched from the frozen…
  • Happy Wednesday, everyone! Thanks, @mari_moulin! Fortunately, the storm passed as quickly as it came on. Kind of surreal to be outside fixing yesterday's damage when today is a perfect summer day, but thank God no flooding this time. The perk of living within walking distance of the ocean can flip quickly when the…
  • Steps for Tuesday, August 4: 8,481 Made it through the storm with trees down all over the neighborhood but fortunately no major damage to anyone I know. 🙏🏻
  • Especially now, I prefer the gym. I've been quarantined at my mother's house where I don't have much to work out with. I brought resistance bands and a yoga mat, I bought a jogging trampoline a few weeks ago and last week I went out and got a kettlebell, an exercise ball, and a medicine ball. That basically covers what I…
  • Steps for Monday, August 3: 6,041 My plan for a long evening walk was thwarted when my niece/Goddaughter called me to inform me that I was going out to dinner with them for her 22nd birthday. :D Today, we're expecting a hurricane so I'm trying to step away from my desk as often as I can to get some steps here and there. My…

  • Hello everyone, I'm Kat. I joined the Downsizers in May 2020, after having been on/off MFP for years under an old account. I'm 46, not married/no children, work in finance (up until quarantine, way too many hours per week), and I live in Brooklyn, NY. I joined the challenge with the original goal of losing 100lbs and I…
  • UGH! I have Sjogren's too - I'm sorry for you! Did your plaquenil increase in price during the pandemic? I refilled for 3 months on 3/17 and it was $30, then just got it again in July and it was $49. :s My sister swears by acupuncture... I'm not ever giving up my medications but I'm always interested in how natural…
  • I don’t have any experience with a rotator cuff injury but I do get inflammation from lupus. Does your rheumatologist have you on an anti-inflammatory? I take diclofenac sodium for my inflammation (usually my in my hip flexors) and it helps some. I’m so sorry for you! 🤞🏻🤞🏻 for no surgery needed.
  • Welcome to the team...@jahend08 @jenmurphy3 @simifadeyibi26 @inky92 Looking forward to losing together!
  • Thank you so much! I keep telling myself that... I didn't go forward by a lot but more importantly, I didn't go backward. I'm trying to shake it off and start fresh with the new month.

  • Username: missgyst Weigh-in Day: Wednesday Starting Weight: 229.0 Previous weight: 211.2 Current weight: 211.2 I don't know how I managed to stay exactly the same for a week, but I'm so glad because I expected to gain. • Hi Linda! Thanks for asking... unfortunately my new obsession with riding a bike tanked me on the StepBet. I also haven't been recording my steps here since they've been so low, but I will go back to doing that in August. I hit a period of low effort in July and the scale shows it, so I'm really working on that. I don't…
