Yeah, I get there's high demand but selling a rusty old set of 75# dumbells for $300 is just being a d*ck.

I get your point and don't disagree, although MFP's recommendations are largely inaccurate. There's a lot of factors not accounted for, like LBM. If I cut from 210 to 185 for a competition, my caloric requirement decrease is closer to one for one because of my approach to diet and exercise.

That depends on the exercise you do. If you mainly do cardio, yes. If you strength train, probably the opposite. Every lb of muscle you gain is a calorie burning furnace. If, for example, you lost 10lbs of fat and gained 10lbs of muscle, you will absolutely have a higher maintenance caloric requirement. I'm not saying this…

Do some research on reverse dieting. I strongly recommend the book "Fat Loss Forever" by Layne Norton. Your fear likely comes from a feeling of lack of control which stems from insufficient knowledge.

Are you hydrated?

Yeah, and if I ever have a cheat meal I have it after a heavy leg or back day, when my body will put it to good use.

Ok, I just wanna rant about the people selling exercise equipment right now for crazy high prices since everywhere is sold out. Supply and demand, I get it...but most people are just being ridiculous. $500 for some crappy old bench they got from SEARS in the 90's and they remembered they had it in storage. I wanna smack…

Weightloss is never linear. Learn to expect level spots and even a gain here and there.

I never have, before or after. Not knocking it, just personal preference.

idk if this helps but as your weight drops, your calories have to as well. If you're 150lbs and lose 15lbs, you weigh 10% less and your calories need to drop 10% accordingly. Assuming your activity is the same and you haven't gained muscle.

I'd try that! I still eat cucumber (had some last night!) for micros but I just think it's a crappy tasting food lol

Don't be mad but strength and endurance don't typically fare well with low carbs.

Good stuff man, keep going.

Reducing alcohol. Non M-F, a couple on the weekend.

Not if you enjoy eating them. Eat less calories than you burn.

No, it's not less work. It enhances the results of people with an existing extraordinary work ethic. I know a lot of guys on stuff that look average because their work ethic is average. No, I'm not natural but it's not uncommon for me to puke mid workout, I've passed out, I've burst blood vessels in my eyes deadlifting and…

The best part of cucumber tastes like the worst part of watermelon.

I prefer to have higher carbs on training days than rest days.

It's manufactured. Yes, it has natural veggies etc but also has a chemical laxative and artificial preservative. Bottom line, it's not meat; it's a bunch of ingredients blended up and made to imitate meat in a factory.

Well put.

If you like the foods keto allows, knock yourself out. If keto is going to make you eliminate foods you enjoy, it's only a matter of time before you fall off. Pick the diet that you can sustain for the rest of your life.

Everyone holds fat in different spots. You simply need to lose more fat because it sounds for you, love handles and belly are the last to go. My advice for retaining muscle is to up your protein when in a deficit. When I'm cutting, I'll eat 300g+ of protein per day vs about 200 when maintaining. Also, try to get your…

1. You're cold when others aren't. 2. You'll get resistance from people close. 3. There's no finish line.

I enjoy powerbuilding. I want to look strong but I also like to BE strong. Colin Whitney has a great program; look him up.

Yeah, I definitely take an IIFYM approach, I'm mainly trying to communicate that when you're trying to gain weight, the eating can be harder than the workout. I hate to say it but if the OP is only getting 50g protein in, he needs to start chugging 1500cal shakes and shoving some chicken in.
-
Oh, I fit them in, don't worry. I just try to get the majority from whole foods because I'm an "all or nothing" kinda person. I ate 18 Krispy Kremes in one sitting once. Also, I hate cutting so the less fat I've gained in a bulk, the better.

I'll look out for them

I'm kinda mindblown at the fact that someone could have that viewpoint. "Next up, the hidden benefits of smoking, stay tuned."
