@mtaratoot I remove any thick pith then slice into strips and simmer in water, let cool slightly and drain and rinse (the water is super bitter, so I haven’t figured out a way to use it). If I want them to be sweet and don’t care about losing a little more color, I’ll repeat this step, if I want the color and some…

Those are so pretty!

I’m loving this citrus love ❤️ 💕 I peel and eat all my citrus in segments like a clementine or tangerine unless I’m cooking with it. Also love candying citrus peel- especially lemon, lime, and grapefruit - SUCH a treat!!!!

Sunday brunch day😊 Savory French toast with eggs and sautéed veg Dinner was a salad with some leftovers of my first attempt at masala dosa and some guacamole in honor of the Super Bowl

I’m here to steal meal and snack ideas!! 🥒🥞🍜🥗🍣🍤🥙🍱🍠🥜🍇🥮 B: Latte & banana L: bfast salad with eggs and toast T: toast and latte! S: garlic, tofu, mushroom soup with greens and pasta D: sourdough chocolate chip cookies (boy who bakes recipe, so good and the dough freezes like a dream) Late night snack of pickles 😊

I’ll second cauliflower white sauces and pumpkin (although I use butternut) cheese sauces as being delicious and easy. If you like or don’t mind the taste of tofu, blending silken tofu into either of these or the cream cheese sauce is really yummy (there is a hint of the tofu taste, it doesn’t completely disappear, so…

@BarbaraHelen2013 did you use the pb2 in the curry sauce? Did you have any issues with it clumping?

Just ate and my tummy is happy, but all of your photos look so good they are making me hungry! 😊 Breakfast brunch salad and a garlic mushroom soup with greens and pasta for dinner

*for a few minutes* 😂 Today was almost a repeat of yesterday. Enjoying the heck out of this KA recipe rye bread, and a left overs dinner. I hadn’t logged consistently since before the holidays and am realizing now that I need to work to get my protein up 😕

@LazyBlondeChef That looks amazing!! I got lost Forbes a few minutes browsing recipes on the Japanese cooking 101, so thank you!! I think now there may be some homemade udon noodles with nikumiso in my near future! ☺️

I love breakfast but am rarely hungry in the mornings, so I'll usually just have a cup of coffee and maybe a piece of fruit, then have a 'brunch' lunch so I can have my breakfast foods :) Yogurt parfaits, omelets, eggs and toast with avocado, breakfast salad, eggs, oatmeal and spinach bowl. On weekends I do a real brunch -…

Tea and dinner leftovers - forgot to take pic before eating 🤦♀️. Veggie pie and carrot ginger soup (not pictured)

Weekday brunch, because homemade rye bread!!

Sorry, my phone was being slow and I got lazy typing. They are King Arthur (flour) sourdough crackers and they are soooo easy and good!! Would completely recommend. The King Arthur recipes I’ve tried from their website have all been fantastic

@mtaratoot thanks! We hadn’t considered doing squash, but that’s a great idea! I’m strangely attached to the ivy wall and cut it back about three times a year and clean it out about every six weeks. It’s a full coverage growth over a retaining wall made of railway ties so it’s super pretty, but I know if I got rid of the…

Sunday Brunch, then KA SD crackers and a clean out the fridge salad for dinner 🙂 (not pictured are the SD pecan chocolate chip cookies my sister made - we gobbled those up too fast to take a pic!)

Hi guys! I’m going to try to grow some veggies this year in my tiny space 🙂 I’ve got a full balcony for containers as well as a small (4 x 8, but there is a crepe mertle (sp) tree in the middle) plot that is in shade until about 1pm each day. I’ve also got a fence and a wall of ivy in the back that are in partial shade -…

Buddha bowl and cucumber salad. (Retake on the salad after our cat accidentally knocked the first one off the coffee table 😿)

Buddha bowl for a late lunch and a light dinner of cuc salad 😋

I have mine set to lightly active and sync'd to my fitbit, which is suppose to track how many calories I burn more or less accurately. Unfortunately, there's a lot of conflicting information about how well fitbit tracks this and how much different exercises burn as well as how many calories similar folks burn while doing…

Also, soup is my ultimate comfort food :) sadly, my husband strongly disagrees, or we'd probably have it every night, lol.

I cannot stand 'fake' food or diet 'tricks' food. I'd rather fast until I can get food that is actually food (I love basically all food from celery and kale to avocado, scallops, pork (thought I don't eat it for other reasons), doughnuts, kimchi, coffee cheese, you name it. But sugar -free jello and the like can suck it

Late to the party - but I like both for different reasons. Something really messy, smelly (lookin at you, fish), or prone to stain/burn in the oven goes on parchment. everything else goes on silpat. The mats do stain a little over time, similar to a pot or pan, but they do a great job, get cleaned and dried, and go back in…

Those mushrooms!!!!! (the log looks amazing too but the mushrooms are so darling!!

What a great idea for a thread! Happy to support and cheer for other folks, and always appreciate positivity! I lost 45 lbs last year and am planning to do the same this year *fingers crossed* B)

Eggs and toast for lunch with fresh fruit

Parsnips also make an amazing cake - not too sweet, a touch of spice and lighter than you’d expect 😋

@AnnPT77 How do you use the garlic scapes and Hakurei turnip?

I really enjoy lightlife smartdogs, but haven’t tried yves. Thanks for the recommendation!
