  • Hi! Count me in. I’ve lost 22 pounds so far. Goal to lose a total of 50 by year’s end. I’m just counting calories right now. Eating what I want though. No formal regular exercise right now. My job keeps Me me busy and traveling 3-4 days/week. HT 5’4” SW: 282 CW: 260 YEGW: 232 1YRGW: 200 2YRGW: 155-150
  • Hi @rmattin91! I have a lot to lose. You can add me.
  • Hi @MsJinkerz! I’m 3 weeks from 55 with at least 100 lbs to lose. I’ve lost as much as 35 lbs and then regained it back plus over the past 30 years getting as high as 282 lbs. I’ve managed to lose 19.6 lbs during this quarantine and am determined to not give up this time. I do t follow a diet and I don’t exercise regularly…
  • @mkeatonmom4, YOU CAN DO THIS! You have your kids help with the housework as much as they can, so have them help you with eating healthier and getting fit. Make it a family thing. If possible go for a walk with the kids(the ones that want to). Put on some music and dance with them during their break time from assignments…
  • Hi @ktsj2015! I can’t explain the madness, but it happens to me all the time. They say the scales don’t lie, but We know they sometimes do. Good luck 👍🏽
  • Hi @mlodge97! I’ll add you. I’ve lost most of my weight during quarantine. No formal diet and not much exercise. Just a calorie deficit. Angela in Alanama
  • Hi @asmism! I’m the same way. Not a big commenter but I do read and like many comments from others. Hi @Dashalanay907! welcome to MFP app. Hi @ChipsGoodbye! I’m not fitness minded. Just trying to lose a lot of weight I’ve been carrying around for 30 years. Hi @The_Tyler_project in TN! MFP is the right place for motivation,…
  • Hi @crismoreno93! The calorie deficit as @KrissFlavored mentioned, is the way I’ve done it since February, just before the quarantine was ordered in my state. I’ve lost 19.6 lbs just counting calories with very little exercise. I learned to log any activity that burns a significant amount of calories though as exercise.…

  • Hi @Jancandoit7 ! Started back 3 months ago after losing 34 lbs and gained back all but 12. Have now lost 19.6 just counting calories. I don’t like exercise and walking is no fun anymore since torn meniscus repair 4 years ago and current have another tear(no surgery planned). With MFP app I’ve learned to log any activity…
  • Hi @mr991nida! Great job with the 11 lb loss. You can add me if you like. I don’t follow a formal diet and I eat what I want(you can view my diary). Have lost 19.6 lbs since February 20th. I can cheer you on and encourage you. Welcome to MFP! Angela in Alabama
  • Hi @gailplatt666! Are you exercising at all? With that small amount of weight to lose, exercise may help. But remember the closer you are to the ideal weight for your height, the longer it may take to lose it.
  • Other than what you have posted I can’t think of anything else because as @mgfit2020 posted above, you can’t take fruit across the border. And I’m guess the veggies would fall in that category as well. Food delivery will your best option.
  • Hi @LatinLilly50! If you’re looking for an alternative to chocolate 🍫 there really isn’t any. You can try chocolate that’s 60% cocoa which is much better because it’s less sugar. Otherwise fruit like red seedless grapes 🍇 are good at about 3 calories per grape. Orange slices are good. In a pinch 🤏 sugar-free Jello…
  • Hello! Angela from Alabama. Not new to MFP but kinda new to the friend thing and posting things. Kinda like having friends on here. Could use more. I log my food everyday but may not comment on threads everyday.
  • Hello! I log my food everyday(no matter what i eat) and any activity I do that burns a significant amount of calories.(no diet plan and daily exercise). Been tracking since February(19.6 lbs down)
  • How’s everyone doing? I lost another pound this week. Anybody else had any success or even no change? How’s calorie counting going?
  • Hi all! I’m glad to see others doing pretty much the same as me. Counting calories and eating what I want mostly. @VeryKatie I’ve sorted and tried all kinds of stuff over the years to lose weight. At 1 month away from being 55, I didn’t want to do all of that. This works fine for me and my lifestyle currently. But protein…
  • Hi @Fabuluna! My diary is viewable to MFP friends only. However, I’m different than perhaps a lot of other members in that I’m not following any special diet or plan other than counting calories. I eat all the same foods I’ve always eaten I just count the calories and serving sizes. I do this because I have dieted off and…
  • @Hi Mimi12549 Hi Mimi! Have you created a calorie deficit of at least 500 calories? If not it will be difficult to lose weight unless you significantly increase the frequency or intensity of your exercise.
  • @melc2910 Hi Mel! Nice to meet you! I got a notification that you sent me a message but I don’t see it Tim messages.
  • Hi! I’m 5’4 264 lbs (down from 282), was very sedentary when I started. MFP automatically set my calories at 1,240. I keep it there because some days I’m not active, especially with the stay-at-home orders. Once my job open back up I will be more active everyday. I need to lose at least 100 lbs more to get to where I’m…
  • I actually went over my calorie limit yesterday but go back on track today. Was active doing a little yard work and awoke 1 pound lighter this morning since the last weigh-in. 14 lbs lost since getting on MFP, 18 lbs lost since Feb. 1st. Not trying to lose fast at all because I don’t want to gain it all back and more.
  • @bickymc Our bodies are very efficient no matter what our age even though things slow down as we get older. Your body know how to protect itself from what it perceives as starvation. So, if your creating a huge calorie deficit ( 500 calories plus exercising) it will hold on to as much as it can for as long as it can. If…
  • From my walks yesterday I hurt my ankle so I am taking a break today to see if that helps. @Pokemom33 I hope your ankle is better 🌸
  • Severe Weather kept me in today. Made my mood even worse. Actual went over my calorie limit today. Surprisingly I felt bad about it!...which is a good thing! I’m ready for tomorrow. Thanks @Pokemom33 for the encouragement.
  • I’m feeling so NOT motivated right now. Today I just want to eat something without thinking about how many calories I’ve already taken in and how many I have left. I just want to take a break for a day or so. Been doing good for over 2 months now but today...🙄 I’m just not in the mood. Maybe I’ll feel better about it…
