  • I did MFP 3-4 years ago and lost 8stone, so I know I log right. so i just don’t get, what’s going on now. I’ve tried under 1300 cals, got stuck. Upped to what MFP suggested (1450), still stuck, changed my activity level to lightly active (1650) and the scales moved the right way. Continued the same and they moved the wrong…
  • When I first started at 133 I had set to sendentary and was eating 1400 max. Now to lightly active at 1650 🤷‍♀️
  • I’ve fluctuated 133, 132, 133, 131 like that for 8 weeks then last week 130.3 this week 131.8. I weigh weekly, first thing Monday morning.
  • Yup exactly that. Daylight savings was the issue
  • Thank you. I’m going to switch the Fitbit and see how the new one fares. I just can’t see that eating 3000 cals is going to be good for me, considering I have so much to lose. I’m not tired or hungry. I’ve never eaten that much while dieting. I used to be 28stone so I’m not new to the losing weight train. I’ve set MFP as…
  • Yeah ok got a replacement coming today. I only walked from bed to toilet today and got 91 cals extra exercise
  • Thanks all for your clarification. So you think try a new one before switching to Sense?
  • I was losing consistently before the new Fitbit. And the calories burned just don’t seem to match my previous versa’s or what MFP wants to give me for a 3m walk. MFP shows as 402 Fitbit 804 in one hour. Everything is correct in my Fitbit stats. I have done a factory reset. For example today I have done one 30minite walk no…
  • I have the versa 3 and it’s giving me too many calories I think. I may switch to the sense.
  • Yeah I think my Fitbit is screwed tbh. I think it’s wayyy over estimating. I’m 132kg 5’5 age 42. I’ve factory reset it and it’s still giving me higher numbers than expected. Tbh I don’t eat my exercise cals I’m just interested in what I burn. I think I will send it back and get a different one. My original versa was more…
  • I went for a 3-4 mile walk 95% in zone. Took my bathroom tiles down which was hard work. I did over 15k steps. Im a large lady so that’s likely why higher calories burned? On a non day where I don’t do a walk and just potter around doing less than 3k steps I generally burn about 2500-2700
  • I’m currently set to eating 1400 which is 1000 cals deficit (2400). For example yesterday I burned roughly 4100 throughout the day says Fitbit and my exercise adjustment was around 1700. (3200). Giving me my 1000 deficit roughly. That’s right isn’t it?
  • Thanks! I have mine set as not active and then use my Fitbit to carry any exercise over.
  • Scales were stressing me too so I stopped using them. I know I’m following the plan and I like to feel my jeans becoming looser around the legs. I aim to weigh monthly.
  • I’ve been a vegetarian all my life, so it’s probably easier for me as I’ve known no different. Quorn is my go to as it’s very low in fat and there are so many options. Lots of places are doing plant based now so become a vegan or vegetarian now is so easy. Please be mindful of your b12 intake. I have to have 8weekly…
  • I was using a versa and was having this issue. I actually changed the timeline on MFP to take it an hour later and that seemed to work. I now have a versa 3 and everything is syncing lovely *touch wood
  • Thank you for taking a look, you e really helped. Did the same route today minus about .8 of a mile and got 524 with average HR of 121bpm. So I guess could be right as last nights was 141bpm. In zone today for 39 mins and yesterday was 111mins apparently. I shall keep an eye on it all for sure.
  • See it’s difficult, I only started riding again 3 weeks ago so this is fairly new. I used to ride quite a bit pre COVID weight gain. I only go out 2-3 times a week atm. My previous versa was plying up and the HR was static on it. Was showing 111 for a fair few days without me really noticing (was mainly counting steps). I…
  • Oh my word, because a 45min bike ride would normally give me around 400, tonight I got 754. I’ve asked a question because I am confused at the difference. I don’t know if MFP has received all of the 754 as it generally takes the total over the day rather than a single exercise. As it’s a new Fitbit (since Monday) I was…
  • Thanks for replying. Yeah I do other stuff this was just that bike ride I wasn’t sure on. It seemed to give me 754 and I was concerned it was too high as generally I earn less. I know I pushed it tonight, I’d normally go a bit more leisurely . I’m not new to fitbit had various over the years. I have the versa 3 now.
  • I put it in the places I thought I’d get help on. Some people may not go into that section!?
  • So get this. Nice 4st loss in 2019 and here we go again back to square one 🤦🏻‍♀️
  • Thing is I haven’t changed the time zones so why would 2days send the exercise over but one day not? Anyhow checked and both are in GMT ‘In any case, you need MFP and Fitbit to exchange data after 23:59 to have the "correct" adjustment’ How do I set it so the date is taken after 23.59? Ive been on and off losing weight for…
  • So this is what I’m seeing in all areas advised.
  • In more on MFP and at the top on Fitbit
  • Nope not that :(

  • I bought Moshi Sleep and Mindfulness for my kids. End up using it for myself just to listen to the ocean or forest sounds. So relaxing!
  • Found it thanks
  • Where do I find that? When I’m in my diary it’s telling me to put calories in and I don’t know what they would have been
  • Thanks all. Yes I’ve added way more fibre in and changed things up a bit. I was on slimfast before and just started to plateau after loosing a fair amount so wanted to go back to calories in vs out. I have upped exercise primarily to kick start things. Not doing school runs on an average day at home I’d do less than 3k…
