I only ever sweat when I wear my little water-weight trimming waist thing while working out. And I'm sure that's just cause it gets hot under there. I don't really sweat at all unless it's just, hot. Like if it's summer and I'm outside on my bike, I'll sweat a little. But in a cool gym? Not so much. I only ever get some…

Lil cheese snack. I assume the 'lil' is ironic, in my case. I would prefer to be the big cheese if possible.

I'm a big sl*t for anything pickled or in vinegar. I have been consuming ACV in many forms since I was in utero, and alas, I am 245 pounds. It is a great low-cal flavor enhancer! But it definitely does not cause weight loss. It just lends itself to a healthy diet.

I notice this primarily when I have super low carb days. So long as I have some form/combination of coffee, yogurt, Wasa crispbread, veggies, things go... rather smoothly. It's a delicate balance, I've just about got it down to a science. If not, Benefiber and a TALLLLL glass of water usually fixes things up within 24…

On days where I need more protein, and bonus points if I want something sweet, I'll have a Muscle Milk or Premier Protein shake. They also make for decent coffee creamers if you indulge in that particular vice.

I don't think there's such a thing as a truly magic food, but I have found that striking the right balance of protein to carbs and fiber is important. Like I've found, as an example, that when I bring some eggs and turkey sausage to work for breakfast, I am satisfied. BUT, if I skip the sausage and have my eggs over Wasa…

This right here is some realness. I am a person who cannot drink my meals. I have a protein shake sometimes if work is super busy and I don't get the chance to eat a true lunch like I'd like, but I'm always starving by the time an hour has gone by. For me, the chewing is essential.

I needed this inspiration today, as a fellow "always been big" person who has a lot of people with LOW expectations. And your style is just, *chef's kiss*, perfection.

I've been AF for almost a month now and going strong. :) Finally starting to sleep better.

Can we back up a bit, and let me ask you, when you say you're "going to do Slim-Fast", what does that mean? Are you only having the shakes or are you incorporating them into your diet elsewhere? Forgive me if I am overlooking info already in the thread, I have a massive headache. I'm putting my two cents in only because…

I'm cackling because this is 1,000% something I would do and then have that 'oh hail' moment.

Of course. TTC = Trying To Conceive NAFL= Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver

We eat a lot of stir fry in our house and it packages well for lunches with leftovers. Inidividual meatloaves in mini/cupcake pans are a big hit, too. Another favorite is to get some deli meat, cheese, etc and some Joseph's pita bread and make a quick 'sandwich' with a pickle on the side if I'm at work and just need a…

I can only speak on keto as I have only dabbled with IF-- I had weight loss success with keto a few years ago when it was first coming out as such an It Diet. I think I lost 12 pounds in about 3 weeks, but I burnt out on it quick because I missed fruits and veggies desperately, and as soon as I went back to a balanced…

I found out in November that my liver enzymes were high among some other things. Husband and I are TTC and putting it on hold until I can get some things under control. It looks like I may have NAFL, but with a family history of alcoholism and a reliance in 2020 on a drink or 3 to unwind 2-3x a week, I realized I needed to…

Ooh, following this one!

I'm not allowing myself to color my hair (and cover my gray) until I hit 10 pounds down. I am vain enough that this is a great motivator, currently. Hah.

I've been here a few times if I'm being honest. I do well for a while and then I fall off. I just made another account -- I am forever forgetting logins-- as I've recently been told I have Fatty Liver + I am borderline diabetic and am officially scared, so I'm taking it seriously now... I am also TTC, and need to lose at…

I've been wanting to try the cheese wraps though! I just haven't seen them locally for a decent price yet.

I love Joseph's Pita Bread. 60 calories for a pita, 1.5g fat, 270 sodium, 9g carbs with 2g dietary fiber and 6g protein.
-
Joseph's Pita Bread. It's just so versatile and is helping me solve that carb craving pretty responsibly without going over on my calories.

Same. My daily breakfast lately! I discovered a new (to me) method of cooking them this morning that led to them being PERFECT between medium and hard boiled and not dry. I'm already excited for breakfast tomorrow.

As an added kick in the pants, I get to spend the first half of the day I was dreading tomorrow- Dad's birthday- visiting the Sheriff's Office because I am being pursued by a debt collector and they like scare tactics. I just wanna go lay somewhere and not move.

Did anyone else here just discover A Plague Tale: Innocence on Xbox Game Pass and become totally obsessed? #longshot

Thanks! I am just embracing my age and the fact that I don't know how anything looks without my glasses. :D

I found this thread accidentally and I need an update.

Thanks everyone for your kind words. It was the first time I saw that particular memory since I got married a couple of months ago and it just... hit different this year. It's always a hard one to think about. I have a photo from that day framed, but I am a slacker when it comes to actually hanging things... This week is…

6 years ago today, my Dad walked me down the aisle. I wasn't getting married-- my step-aunt actually was because same-sex marriage was FINALLY legalized in NC in 2014. I wore a simple white dress and my aunt's fiancee let me borrow her bouquet. See, Dad was diagnosed at the age of 55 with metastatic pancreatic cancer in…

I definitely agree with the smile and nod approach above. I am guilty of this-- though I only offer my 2 cents if directly ASKED because opinions are like bumholes and we all have 'em and mine isn't special-- and I always wonder if people think, "What is this chick on about? Has she seen herself?" I don't know that I would…
