  • I really wanted to drop the meat, and at one time was ordering food parcels where the meals were delivered at the start of the week (all veges, meats, ingredients, depending on the menu) and it was rather nice for a time, as I was wanting some variety and not enjoying time at the supermarket! Anyway, I ordered four meals a…
  • Aha. Thank you- that extra click does it!
  • All the best for that. My work colleague went through that and followed all instructions. She’s just tiny now. And happy with her hard work. She has a great attitude. Probably just over a year now. Her hair went quite thin as she was told it might, but body stress is behind her now and she looks great. She’s about 30.
  • That’s an interesting topic and I hope to learn more on this, so following. I understand that flour and dairy for some can be problematic. I love the milk though and continue with that … great for calcium.
  • Well, I’ll try and send you a friend request 🫣 I need to work out how to do that.
  • Fantastic. You sound rather motivated. I’m back onto premium hoping to undo a middle age weight gain. Live in NZ. Will send you a friend request, hope you are ok with that.
  • Well, I’m just on my phone so typing a proper answer is a bit challenging! But wishing you well in your journey and I hope you feel better soon. I understand fish is a good good to help mood, it’s the omega fats etc. salmon is great.
  • Good on you with your new aims. Walking is fantastic. Eat food, mostly plants and not too much. A great motto I try and focus on.
  • Yes, they sneak in very easily. I do my very best to avoid white bread, and limit potatoes. I’m sure if I could cut out most of the flour and added sugar, I’d be making good progress.
  • Thanks for the links tinkerbell. It's really painful, and complicated because I had it under another login that I'm trying to remove. Whenever I try to load it in, it won't go. I'll read the threads and see if that helps.
  • Ooh, that's for the step by step details. Finally worked it out too.

  • I feel your pain and I dislike the FAQ bots that sites use. They seldom have answers to what you're looking for. Normally if you are savvy enough to check out the Bot, you have already searched around looking for basic clues and found that much. Disappointing to learn the plans are only on the app as well.
  • Hmm... I'll follow this thread as I'm not sure if my Fitbit is connected or not. I have the Versa2 watch, and think I've linked to MFP. But can't see on my profile where this shows my steps yet. Suggestions? A screen dump would be great. I've had the fitbit charge before and never had to manually put in a walk, it would…
  • I got it for a few months, but it didn't really inspire me. I had somebody linked up to keep in touch, and they did. But I kind of felt like anybody could do that task in their setup. They'll send you a few messages a week and ask how you're doing etc.
  • Oh My Gosh! That is INCREDIBLE. You should be soooo proud of yourself. Look at you, and you did it all on your own with sensible eating and excercise! I really admire people who do well at this, it must be like kicking a very strong addiction. You're an inspiration so I hope you'll stay around and encourage people here who…
  • Same height as me, and I’m in kgs here.
  • Hi jmfamily - Kiwi here too!
  • I'm a restarter too.. and back exactly where I started! I'll join some of you :)
  • I'll add - I'm wanting to lose about 15pd too. Except I am in kilos, and that's the scale here. I think the pounds would seem to move a bit faster, as they're a smaller measure!!
  • Oh, see the date - that was 2019. Poor member, didn't get any support from this post! It caught my eye as a work colleague has just had a stomach reduction operation. In her case, they cut some the stomach away. Quite drastic really, I hope it was thoroughly discussed and all options considered. I know some people just…
  • How would you know if/when you have flushed it out?
  • Yep, very practical.
  • I think losing half kilo a week is fairly reasonable which is only just over a pound. Not my fault MFP calculates that to 1200 calories. My weight fluctuates on the scales a couple of kilos every day. Don’t worry, I’m not likely to eat under 1200 calories as I still like my food. But that may be ok for me, I’m a short…
  • Um, ok, I’m back in the system with a subscription. Can’t even find how to add friends anymore :(
  • Well peeps, I just want to know I have a great diet. I’m still kind of trim, but have that womanly extra padding that seems to come at my age. I’m not wanting to become a superwoman- those days were in my prime when I was conquering mountains. Now sadly, my knees don’t like that stuff anymore so I’ve cut back quite…
  • Hi all’ thanks for responses, sorry I didn’t clarify too well as I’m on the iPad. It was the balance of carbs/protein etc that I would like to work out. I thought 50% carbs seemed rather high.
  • Sorry to mislead, but you haven’t described me. I’ll have to check that calculation, it I was more curious about getting the balance of carbs/protein etc. won’t be starving myself in any way.
  • Ta. I thought 50% carbs was quite high.
  • Thanks all. Very helpful all your comments.
  • Mainly to get my fat percentage down, it’s about 30-35% according to my scale. Probably need more protein, less carbs.
