  • Thank you all! I caved and purchased a slim $150 squat rack as a birthday present to myself! Ha
  • I appreciate that! I wonder what would be possible without going to that extreme? I don’t have much space or options as I rent a room.
  • Wow! I'm so loving this support. Very unexpected. I'm super grateful to be part of this community.
  • This is SUPER helpful. I went ahead and purchased these items through Amazon and it came out to $56 with is BELOW my budget. Thanks so much! Now to see how I do. Also, I that my workouts are challenging (to the point when I need to figure out what my issue is because I keep hurting my shoulder). However, I do not break a…
  • Thanks so much!!
  • I understand. Thank you!
  • Very helpful. Thank you!
  • I really appreciate the suggestions I've gotten thus far. However, I want to make it clear that I am working with what I have currently and searching for help within these parameters. I am looking for actual resources for compiling my meal prep plan, not for ideas that require me to change my budget, my environment,…
  • Hey there! I am on SNAP, but my food budget is pretty firm as I am unemployed. I shop using deals and coupons so that seems to work out well. There is no room for a small fridge where I live, unfortunately.
  • Hey there! Thank you so much! FYI - I do not want to buy a slow cooker or an instant pot. I have used both of these appliances and they have been incredibly ineffective for me because 1. I do not have a freezer to store bulk foods that I prepare 2. I found that I was preparing too much and 3. it was a big production due to…
  • Thanks - I've essentially figured out a process to cook basic foods and put them in glass meal containers...the issue now is that the whole process takes about 4-5 hours for essentials because of my lack of kitchen tools. I've realized that I need to do meal prep for a week over the course of a few days. Sigh. I can't wait…
  • Appreciate the ideas, but I do not have storage space/a freezer for these. Thanks though!
  • Hi! I would be open to batch cooking if I actually had a freezer, but I do not. Thank you though!
  • I've actually tried that and I don't like it. I like more variety and with the instant pot or slow cooker, I found that I was making too much food that I wasn't eating because I became bored. I've found that I really like the set up I have now better.
  • We're in this together!
  • Cool! Maybe we can add each other on the app, or we can start a group? I'm not entirely sure how this all works;)
  • Thank you Ann! I appreciate your support:) Today I started logging with MFP. I still have to ride out about 3 months of Noom (I lost weight relatively quickly when I realized how much I was eating) so I will use Noom for the behavioral change aspect and the supportive community there. I'm so happy to be here. It seems like…
  • Thank you. I did start strength training 2x a week and I think I will go to 3x this coming week. I am starting with dumbbells, but I do have a barbell. I guess I'm just worried because I have lost weight and now I fear that I will put it back on if I am not careful about what I eat. Noom has helped immensely, but it lacks…
  • I did look at it, I guess I feel overwhelmed beyond the point of being to take this in. I am more of a kinesthetic learner and need some support guiding me along the way. I've considered looking into a coach, but as an unemployed student I don't really have the funds for that.
  • Wow you are all so supportive and helpful. A lot of this is going over my head, however, and I really want to understand it fully in order to take charge. Is there any recommendation you would make such as a step-by-step book or an inexpensive course to start learning about setting up a knowledgeable fitness and nutrition…
  • Hi! https://bodybuilding.com/content/the-ultimate-guide-to-reverse-dieting.html
  • Wow, thank you Ann! This is super helpful...albeit a bit overwhelming. I'll start by looking into these threads and piecing things together. Thank you. And, yes, you are a prime example of someone who has done well with maintaining your weight! I'm also 5'5 and I weight 132 currently. My goal is 128. My question for you…
  • Sorry I'm just getting used to posting on these threads.
