I laughed out loud when I read this. When I show people my "before" pictures, they say the same thing. They wouldn't know it was me. Even my HUSBAND says that!

Hard? Losing weight is hard. Being fat is hard. Low carb worked for me. It FELT like magic. Currently, I follow a modified Keto lifestyle. You do you. I'll do me.

Beautiful!!! Congratulations on your success.

Why I'm taking collagen supplements? I'd been losing a lot of hair. It's working. New hair is growing in.

Don't wait till Monday to restart. Restart right now.

If I could give any overweight person 10 minutes of what thin feels like, no one would be overweight again.

My mini goal is also my total goal. I have 2 pounds to reach my initial weight loss goal. I've lost 110 pounds by just addressing one mini goal after another. My highest weight was 245 (I'm 5'3" and 71 years old) in 2000, but lost 80 most recently with the use of MFP (mostly logging and friends) and Keto, adapted as I see…

Awesome! I'm 7 pounds from my goal. Yay, us!!!

I'm glad you brought this up. I still have my WW membership card that shows me at a weight of 245. Today I weigh 138, mostly by using the Keto lifestyle and MFP. The two things I find invaluable in MFP are the support of my MFP friends and the food logging tool. They made ALL the difference in the world. Having the freedom…

I agree. There are enough malfunctions in the app to discourage me from paying for premium membership. I've had it before and other than being ad-free, I don't see enough advantage to premium. What keeps me on MFP is the fabulous friends I've made.

Way to go! Looks like you're doing this right!

On my weight loss journey, people often encouraged me to keep it up. What I'd hear was "You're not done yet." Sometimes I find myself thinking the worst when the intention was simply to encourage, not to remind me I'm still fat. Now, at 136 (down from 245) I often hear "You're not trying to lose more, are you?" Well, as a…

I am at 134 pounds, just 9 pounds above my goal weight of 125 (down from 245). I plan to address 3 pounds at a time. No rush, and I feel fantastic. If I'd known how much joy weight loss would bring me, I'd have done it years ago, although I did try. I just didn't commit. Even with MFPs constant issues, the daily logging…

I'm at 136 pounds today, just one pound over goal. I've reached my goal weight in the recent past, then gained a few. I notice a huge difference in how I feel at 138-139 where I've been hovering lately. The closer I get to 135, the better I feel.

I'm 70 years old and began my weight loss journey in July of 2020, beginning at 215 pounds on a 5'3" frame. I've lost approximately 80 pounds. I weigh myself daily (it works for me). Sizewise, I'm now in sizes XS to M, or 6-10, depending on the cut of the item. I used to be a size 2XL. I recall when I reached size 12 and I…

I expected to be a little loose with calories and carbs, but went way over. My sweet potatoes are to die for, so I indulged. I still logged and weighed myself daily, seeing in horror that I gained 9 pounds. I was happy to get back on track the day after Christmas and have already lost 5 pounds. Four more will be a breeze.…

After church today, we went to Perkins for brunch, and as we were waiting in the lobby for a table, a couple sitting next to us began to chat with us. The wife asked if I happened to have a sister named Gina. "That's me," I said. She was shocked at my weight loss of almost 80 pounds. Naturally, this conversation made my…

I'm looking forward to being in the 120s. Current weight is 133. 129 will be worth celebrating. My way of celebrating is to go "thrifting" in the extra-smalls and smalls, size 6 dresses, and size 6-8 slacks. My former sizes were 2XLs and size 22 slacks. Life has changed so much for the better.

Do you have recipes for Keto pumpkin bars? I was a little disappointed in the pumpkin muffins with cream cheese frosting I made recently. I did, however, manage to eat them all, sharing only 2. ROTFL Did I tell you already that I've had daily migraines since I was 16 (more than 50 years now)? They're not nearly as bad as…

Thanks, Megan. Your response is exactly what I needed.

I never used to drink coffee. Didn't like it black, and knew I didn't need the extra calories that creamer and sugar added. Since I started Keto in 7/20, I found Splenda doesn't taste bad and Nestle sugar free creamers are only 15 cals per Tbsp. I started with 3 T creamer at 45 cals per cup for months, but have now…

BEAUTIFUL work! Congratulations. Sounds much like my story.

Nobody told me I'd gain wrinkles without the usual padding. Guess I should have figured that out on my own

I've tried Sola bread and enjoyed it, but find La Banderita Carb Counter tortillas both easier to find in stores and tastier. Side note: made fish dipped in egg, then rolled in a mixture of parmesan cheese and almond flour, then lightly sprinkled with Red Lobster Seafood Seasoning and fried in ghee. Best fish I've ever…

My current mini goal is to lose 1 pound, which will put me at 135 (and 80 pounds lost), the lowest I've been since I began this weight loss journey in July of 2020. After that, my next goal will be an additional 2 pounds, which will put me at my goal weight of 133. At that point, I will re-assess and consider a possible…

Today I tried on clothes in my closet. I do this regularly for personal encouragement, plus I like to keep only clothes that are currently fitting. I have found, though, that many of my thrift store clothes purchases have never been worn, but I've outgrown them to the point that they must go back to the thrift store as a…
