  • Hey sorry for late reply - only looking in 'community' occasionally!! Hope you're feeling better and staying more positive. My boss is a j e r k but that's ok, I'm learning to live with that. He's been alright since then but it's still a bit strained between us. Hope you can stay warm - it's freezing here too, but not as…
  • My Italian lentil soup recipe as follows - highly recommended, good for the heart and soul, especially if it's only 4º!!! I've just written it out off the top of my head, so do let me know if you have any questions. Fry equal amounts of chopped celery and carrot in big pot with a little olive oil, a chopped onion, a couple…
  • Agree about the groups becoming a chore - I felt like that too so I have also backed off. I have thousands of notifications, that are all just going to stay there! Lockdown here in Sydney has been exhausting. We're allowed out for 1 hour/day for exercise only, and are not allowed to travel more than 5kms. Today and…
  • Hey Christie, goodness :o you must be very rural to be 300kms to a Woolworths! Do you get "Mountain Bread"? they are the best - 71 calories per wrap, much lower than the Helgas wraps and they last heaps longer too. I'm not personally a fan of baked beans, but do love legumes. I can send you my favourite Italian Soup recipe…
  • Cut up carrots, celery, cucumber. Team with a low cal dip - mind your portions though - and/or just a bit of salt. Apples are great, and filling - lots of new varieties out there these days that are really sweet and crunchy, worth trying. Strawberries and cantaloupe are super low calorie fruits too.
  • Recently discovered some food products at Woollies that are low cal and wanted to share: 1. Lowest calorie dip I can find, SSS Foods Hommus, 25 g = 31 calories 2. Bickfords - Diet Lime Cordial, 50 ml = 4 calories, this is enough to flavour a 1.5L bottle of water 3. Woolworths brand 50% lower carb high protein pizza base.…
  • Yeah totally - simple stuff like breakfast cereal - one 'portion' was about 1/3 of what I thought I ought to eat. I couldn't believe it! My biggest before-MFP-sin food (and during, and after...) is hot chips. I'm so bad with them. My partner and I would go to the chicken shop once a week and get a large serve of chips and…

  • Hey Christie, as you know I'm Jess, I've been on MFP for a few years too but never bothered to stick with it until now. Have gained weight my entire adult life. Finally hit a point where I needed to lose weight and my partner laughed at me and said I would never do it -- had to prove her wrong, so here I am! Have lost 20kg…

  • Thanks everyone for your good wishes for the IVF :) I've lost 28lbs since I started. One of the compliments I received came from a girl at work who is herself always dieting, a few days after we briefly discussed that I was on a low calorie diet. She said she could tell that I had lost weight, especially around my face.…

  • I took my bra expander off today <3 felt pretty damn good!!
  • Thanks everyone, sorry if my comment about the volume eaters thread was snarky, I didn't mean any offence. I suppose I was just looking at it from the POV that many people such as myself, starting out in this scary new world of dieting, would call themselves 'volume eaters'. And I don't see how - on the surface - making…
  • Hey @AnnPT77 and @hipari I have had a look at the post you recommended and it looks like there are lots of really motivated people sharing recipes to eat large portions of veg and protein, including all sorts of fancy additives to fill themselves up. However, with respect, that's not what I'm looking for. One of my goals…
  • @WaterLily82 thank you for this thread! I admit that I have stolen some of your ideas to make my own list, and am up to 15 reasons. I love that I can add to this and look back on it to motivate myself when I'm feeling down. This is a great idea, thank you so much for sharing. * My partner has overhauled physically and…
  • Thanks -- have already lost 10kg ("water weight" - it just fell off so fast!) I have got 2kg more to go to get to 95kgs, I am hopeful I can get that done by EOM May with a healthy balanced diet and exercise, because I need to get my eggs on ice for IVF ASAP. Then I have all the time in the world to lose weight slowly to…
