@pessxx I already miss you M, and Dixi too!! You've always been a big part of my MFP life, it's sad to see that go... MFP could have handled this so much better, IMO, by making the Newsfeed a paid feature, but instead they just killed it!!! I am going to reach out and see if I can get their logic (or lack of?) on doing…

HI Lietchi, we just recently connected on Garmin, so I recognize your name!! I was a fan of the newsfeed, I really like seeing a glimpse in to the life of others. I also posted pics from CenFlo7-Land (AKA the beach!!) and people seemed to like them. I'm starting feel that I don't need to pay for this app and won't renew my…

It's gone on desktop for me, it happened earlier today. Oh well, we knew it was coming so goodbye MFP newsfeed.

Don't like the trolls, don't feed them!! That's been the way to deal with the negative types since the usenet (newsgroup) days of the Internet. I hope the community forums can be a good substitute for the social aspect(s) of this site that everyone seems to love. Time will tell.

I'm currently reading my 2nd book about this process and getting my mind set back in "get rid of stuff" mode. I listened to an audio book over a year ago written by a Japanese author on this very subject and it always helps me to get motivated, that is, hearing other people's successes at this process. I've done the…

Keep going, don't stop. Crawl, skip, walk, run, jog, jump. Just do something to keep moving, that's the key to all of this. Anytime I come across someone that ask me about fitness, it's always the same B.S. They say, "I have bad ______ [FILL IN THE BLANK: knees, arms, legs, head, blah, blah, blah] and can't train" I reply…

HELL-F'ING-YEAH, that's straight up gangsta, booh. I truly love reading stories like this, motivates the fire outta me and makes me wanna move even more weight, run farther, cycle faster. Chew nails and spit tacks, rapid fire. Congrats on being the master of your own destiny and taking ZERO shiz from the world or anyone in…

Form first, weight and speed will come. One other thing, are you stretching any AND warming up? So many people skip their warm up and go straight to the weights / reps. Easy to skip the simple things, but keeping it simple and using good form is everything. One other trick for squats is to make sure your hips are forward…

Excellent advice here, start small, be consistent and make incremental changes as you go. You'll learn if you journal your workouts, food intake and reflect daily on how you / your body feels. You can automate much of this with a fitness tracker / watch and taking a little bit of time to do the rest of the work. Keep it…
