  • Good morning, I am not new to MFP but I am new to eating fewer carbs and the right kind of carbs. I am 68 and just learning about these things. I am trying a metabolic approach because it sounds sensible to me. So I would be glad for any advice. I know a little about the site if you need help, I may be able to help you out.
  • Good morning Ontario, I also live here. I am not doing Keto but am trying out a metabolic way of eating. It's geared towards women and the different stages we go through in life and was wondering if any of you have heard of it and if so what's your opinion?
  • Just wondering if anyone is following a metabolic diet plan?
  • That is simply an option. It is mostly for weight maintenance. You can track your exercise without adding to your calories when you set up how you want to do things. If you eat back the calories you burn with exercise, your weight loss will be very slow indeed. The idea is to burn more calories than you eat. Our bodies…

  • Yes and it will be even better with the chocolate protein powder.
  • If you are getting it from another site don't add anything just copy & paste the website and when you want that recipe it will bring you back to that website. If your copying your own recipes then yes it can be a challenge, it's all in the wording for example once I put in egg whites and I knew it was wrong so I put in the…
  • Well ladies it's better to laugh than cry, now I won't feel all alone when I do very similar things, maybe we should just sit till the coffee kicks in.
  • @Pamela_Abel : These recipes look great, 1 question the PB fit is that just the powdered Peanut butter?
  • @SunshineFIGirl That's great she is very good at finding things out, sue hope you get it all working properly. Your right about salty fruit but my GD eat pears and adds salt to them, I have never tried them though. I try to stay away from most salty foods, I tend to hold water if I eat even a bit too much.
  • @MsCzar When you figure out the bars please share the recipe, they sound great and a lot less expensive than buying good ones.
  • @SunshineFIGirl Sorry, would love to help, but I don't even know what a BBCode is so no help here. I also love reading your blogs.
  • Yes, that's right, cook on low
  • Try putting in the search boneless, skinless chicken thigh and each individual thing you put in. They have to go in 1 at a time to get accurate info.
  • Yes I have with an added cut up apple, wake up to that smell is some find of wonderful. I use water but I suppose you could use almond milk if you prefer.
  • @SunshineFIGirl - Isn't it strange how we allow someone else dictate when we should eat? And that once we do eat what we had not planned we sort of throw in the towel for that day? Both these mindsets are so bad for us. We are in charge of what and when we eat, I understand when we have plans to go out, well we have plans…
  • If you do a search on freezer jams you might find more, they may say sugar but you can simply switch it for stevia and then you can have them ready in your freezer. You need small jars because as you said they won't keep much longer than a few days in the fridge.
  • Do you know it is far better to stay within 50- 100 calories from your goal everyday than eating less food. Eating too little can actually cause your body to hold on to the fat. I know it sounds strange but consistency in all areas is really what works best in the long run and then you can do it for the rest of your life.…
  • I have my Mom's old Betty Crocker cookbook, a couple for slow cookers and quite a few on using fat substitutes, some are pretty good, and a couple of high fiber ones. I did buy a Keto one, that was a waste of money since I am not a big eat meater and every fiber in my body hates the idea of eating more fat. I am not…
  • I have never posted anything there but I would guess that you simply type it in, since I have seen lists for the days and for the week. You would have to type it on your homepage right under your summery for the day.
  • Do you mean that you cannot add your recipes to your daily diary? If so I have no idea what the problem could be but then I am a premium member.
  • Just add it into the meal you had.
  • You got good advice already myself have gone through menopause and I had to not let MFP add my exercise to my food, They give you more calories for every exercise.
  • Well, I don't have a diet I know fruits, veggies, beans and legumes are all high fiber foods.
  • @RockinRobyn672 Hope you hit in the Fall Challenge, it sure would be nice to be able to hit each challenge but I sure never have, so I always enjoy it when it does happen. It took me 2 years to get this close to my goal & still have 8 lbs. to go some lose 100 lbs. a year , I have no idea how they do that.

  • Your right no one should live in your head I'm sorry you were offended by that remark, yet have you thought of just how uncomfortable it is to have breasts that are simply too large, as we age they cause all kinds of back problems, we can never buy a dress without altering it. Believe me it is no fun to wear a size 10…
