  • I weight myself every day, and probably should not. My weight will stall for a month or more at times. I usually seem to fluctuate up and down in a five point range, even if I am sticking strictly to my allotted calorie intake. All of the sudden after a month or six weeks I will start to slowly lose maybe up to five pounds…
  • It is really hard for me to stick to lower carb. I try to eat only the fruit and vegie carbs but that is tough. I am starting again today to cut the bready type carbs (which include potatoes, noodles, rice, cereal, etc.) Today I had chicken salad for lunch along with pineapple and some low fat yogurt. For dinner I had a…

  • It's sad when people feel their negative comments are okay to share out loud. You WILL get the weight off! I have no doubts about it. 2024 is a new start for everyone!
  • Air frying them is a great idea. I just got one a few months ago, and I am still experimenting with it.
  • That is a lot of weight to lose in 14 months. Congratulation!!
  • Hi, Logging all my food really has been the only thing that is working for me. The days I log I am more mindful and that really helps rather than just guessing on the days that I do not log. I am not saying I don't stall losing weight at times, but for the last 6 months I have done better by logging and weighing myself…
  • I am 69 and have bad knees, so I can relate with the chronic pain. I am now at 228 but it has taken me a very long time getting there. Years and years. Keep up the good work! It is tough, but as I keep losing, even though it is slow going, it sure makes me feel better about myself.
  • If you lost 117 lbs since August 22nd, I think you are doing fabulous. Did you mean to type 17lbs?

  • What do the numbers mean in your post? Thank you
  • I like the taste of Lilly's chocolate also; however, it is made with erythritol so you may want to look up the link with erythritol and blood clots.

  • I have found in the last six months that strictly tracking my food keeps me motivated. I have made it a challenge to myself to stick to my 1250 calorie allotment per day. I track everything and try to look at what I am going to eat in a day earlier in the day so I can adjust portions at breakfast, lunch, etc., if I am…

  • I like to take low carb/low calorie tortilla shells. We use that in place of a pizza crust and add all our toppings, sauces, etc. My husband puts them in the oven for a few minutes before adding toppings and then bake until all toppings done.
  • I never thought to try the peanut sauce idea. That sounds delicious. Thanks for the idea!
  • I like raw vegies too, but when you roast them, they seem to take on a whole new taste. Even though you are cooking for one, give it a try!
  • I get it. I also freeze a lot of food items so I don't have to go to the grocery store more than once a week. It's too tempting to buy junk food if you are in the store.
  • I try to plan my day of food every morning. It seems to help, because if I figure out we are going to have for dinner, then I can adjust the other two meals for their calories. It takes some time but in a weird way it is kind of fun to find new low calorie recipes to work for that days meals. Good Luck and happy tracking!…
  • I agree, I love roasted vegies, there are so many different ones that roast up deliciously!
  • I have tried many ways of losing weight over the years but what seems to work best now is tracking everything I eat, keeping my calories to 1100 to 1200 per day and keeping the starchy carbs to a very minimum. It is very slow going though at my age.
  • My grand daughter's first birthday party was yesterday. Normally I try to keep my calories between 1100 and 1200, yesterday I ate 2000 calories. I gained 2.5 pounds. This is ridiculous! I am back today to 1200 calories and hoping I lose those 2.5 pounds quickly. It is all so frustrating, but I am plugging on!
  • I am 68, retired and live in the United States in the Midwest. I have been overweight pretty much my entire life, and currently really focusing on weight loss. It has been a slow go, but over the last 20 years I have lost, and finally kept off, over 100 pounds. I still have about 85 to go, but at least I am no longer…

  • I just started eating yogurt mixed with chia seeds and either blueberries or a peach. It seems to keep me pretty full and only amounts to approximately 150 calories. It is really delicious and you don't taste the chia seeds. You get the crunch from them unless you let it sit for about 30 minutes to soften. I just started…
