  • Dear good sir, no other man can motivate you enough, but let me share my point of view: I think it will be super awesome if you're known as 'that man who is 50 but looks like a Hollywood action movie star'. Do you want to be that man? If so, you don't need motivation, you just need to consistently do what it takes. :)
  • SW: 210 lbs (considered slightly obese) GW: 176 lbs (mini goal), and 170 lbs with 10-15% body fat (long term goal) CW: 192 lbs The why: I have to admit that in my line of business (at least in where I live), appearance matters. I mean, if I look like I can't even take care of myself and look very unhealthy (extreme words:…
  • Yes, it's a variation of beef rendang with some touch of personal preferences :D
  • Wow, thank you for your insights! I guess I will not be able to log them close to accurate the way I wanted, considering there are several variables mentioned, such as the fat rendered out in the cooking, the sauce that gets in, or the way it was cooked, and perhaps many other variables currently unknown to me. The recipe…
  • -Some are looking for friends with similar goals to be motivated. -Some want friends only with same sex due to inappropriate messages they get from their 'friends'. -Some just want to feel connected and support each other, especially during this pandemic. I can understand #2, but to anyone reading this, feel free to add me…
  • Welcome back. I'm currently on a journey to reclaim my past glory in losing fat and looking fit as well. This time with similar method I used years ago, but I hope to be connected to positive people in this community, especially with the pandemic going on. I hope you don't mind, I'm adding you to my FL.
  • The above tips by Lietchi is true. Consistency in logging your food is the key. If you can't measure it, you can't manage it. I love food. I eat anything I want. When it's pizza time, it's pizza time! I enjoy it with my family, won't stress about it, and nothing will stop me. But I track the calories and do my best to stay…
  • Congratulations on the 30 pounds! How much more do you have to lose? For me the key is to not looking for motivation, but to be in it consistently and be determined, whether I like it or not, by tracking my calories daily as detailed as I can with food scales and measurement cups, and staying under my daily cal limit. I…
  • I've got 9 kg more to lose for my current goal, and 10 more after that which will focus on retaining my tiny muscles while losing mostly body fat. Let's roll.
  • Congratulations! I started my 'diet' journey in 2014, managed to transform myself from obese to (almost) lean in 2016 (lost 30 Kg / 66 lbs of body fat) without properly tracking calories, built some muscles along the way. My progress was slow, but I was happy with the results. With abs showing, who wouldn't? :D Due to lock…
  • I weigh in daily just for the lulz, weekly for the records and calorie intake adjustments, and take pictures of myself in the morning every 3-4 days to really see the progress I am making. Whenever I feel discouraged by the numbers on the scale, I take a look at the pictures and compare them side-by-side.
  • I've been in your position 6 years ago, I know how you feel. I was obese and trying to lose a lot of fat. My progress was slow and it took me 2 years to lose 30 Kg (66 lbs) of fat, but in the end of my 2 years journey I looked good (at that time), felt extremely confident, met the love of my life, and became a father not…
  • Whoa, congratulations!!! :o That smile tho, a smile of accomplishment :D
