6/6 late tonight but I remembered to log in all my food thanks to this thread. Went over my calories which I'm not happy about. I have a hard time with self control when it comes to sweets. I worked in my garden today and tomorrow I'll be on a field trip which I'm sure will burn a lot of calories.

Have a protein rich snack after your morning workout and drink lots of water

6/5 went to the gym again today for my training session. Doing much better with squat form and grip strength has improved 👍 logged all my food and had some calories left over. Decided to spend them on kitkats even though I should have used them for protein. I'm sure kitkats have protein in there somewhere right? Lol

In college we used to do peep jousting. You'd take two peeps and put one toothpick into each peep to look like lances. Then you'd put them on opposite sides of the microwave and heat them until one peep skewered the other. The person with the losing peep would have to eat both. Honestly it was pretty gross. Roasting…

6/4 Happy to have logged in all my food (and dinner in advance). Since I was exhausted from field day on Friday I made up for it today. I did my normal Sunday workout plus the Friday workout. Busted my finger open when I got it trapped between the safely bar and the squat rack when I was shoving it in. The squat rack is…

It can be hard if you are trying to stay within a certain calorie goal as well. Protein powder is your friend. Gold Standard is what I use. I've tried Muscle Milk which I found to be the tastiest but is too high in calories for me. Isopure is excellent in protein per cal ratio but it's expensive and tastes like butt. Gold…

6/3 I have made it 3 days logging everything and making sure I do some form of activity even when not in the gym. Today was a gym day. 90 mins of squats, bench, and accessories. The sled was open today so I decided to play with it after I was done with everything else. Good times! Tomorrow is a longer day in the gym and my…

6/2 Came into work early and worked on the school garden for an hour. It was field day today so I was outside in the heat (92!) for the majority of the day. My plan was to also go to the gym but I can barely keep my eyes open. I'll have to double up this weekend to stay on track. Also logged my food today even though I…

I plan to log in and fill out my diary daily and also have some type of exercise every day even when I'm taking a rest day from the gym 6/1 Logged everything and worked in the school garden for an hour weeding and pulling down vines. Making progress!

You need to work on self-love with a professional who has experience in these areas. Being 110lbs isn't worth it when you are having all these negative side effects. I know how it feels and I also know that once people like us reach our goal we are still not satisfied and become more unhealthy. I wish you nothing but…

Hooray! Excellent work. One might say you have got all your (rubber) ducks in a row? 😁

@AnnPT77 omg thank you! That's exactly what I needed!

I've had to go back after injuries/illness and it's always hard to get back into the swing of it the first few days. Try something easy that you like to do. For me that was going on the recumbent bike on a light setting and reading. Didn't do much in terms of fitness compared to what I normally do bu it got me into the gym…

@Retroguy2000 Unfortunately not :( I did go to that area but when I click replies I only see what I have written as a reply to someone else. I didn't bookmark this post so I had to find it and see if there was a reply. Maybe it's because I'm on a phone? I appreciate you helping me!

I would be down for some new friends! Looking for ppl 35+ who are also experiencing the changes that come with approaching middle age. Ppl who also struggle with weight-based anxiety and self-hatred would be welcome too. Let's support each other and work towards improving our health and self esteem!

Definitely not cheating. Like others have said it's not a competition! If it gets you to a healthy weight and improves your quality of life I'm all for it.

I feel your pain! Your body is holding on to water as you work out those muscles. You will see results just keep on doing what you are doing, stay hydrated, and try not to eat back the calories 👍

My biggest focus is calories! When I'm training for a competition I try to keep carbs low and increase my protein (basically lowering my carb calorie budget to increase my protein calorie budget). I tend to keep fat higher because I find it keeps hunger at bay for longer. I do love me some carbs though and I do NOT eat…

Not sure what your height is but if you can see abs you are doing well! You are making great progress with the weight loss at what averages to 1lb/week. Remember you are building muscle so you might not see a difference in the scale but you will in terms of measurements and overall health. Perhaps measure yourself at the…

I use toddler cutlery and plates. You can't get a lot of food on the fork or spoon so you eat slower and since the plate/bowl is smaller there's less to eat
