In for October - my goal is moderation with minimum 12 dry days AF - 1, A 2 (but low drink counts both days!)
-
Summer has been rough and not at all LA. Working to get back into better health and better moderation - need to focus on stopping after 1-2. Goal is 12-15 AF but more focused on keeping under counts when I do drink. So far: 5 A, but 4 over target 5 AF

back and need to keep myself accountable. May and June were not great due to trips and celebrations - so far for July I'm 50/50 AF and A days. My goal however is not tied to dry days (although I would like to see a good number of them!) but on keeping within my limits. Instead of viewing them as goals, I view them as…

In for June. May was a mess (LA speaking - it was a blast but that was the problem!) Goals are 12-15 AF Staying on target drink wise (daily drink count in my Reframe app) 75%

Hi all! In for April...after a particularly indulgent weekend I'm ready to stick with it. Goal is 15 AF, 100% sticking to my drink targets.
-
Hi all! Mom of 2 here - 3 & 6

Those darn weekends. I can get through the week no problem but then it's like Fri-Sun I make up for it. That is my focus for the next several weeks while still not slipping during the week...I love the way I feel Tues-Fri mornings, just need to remind myself that when I reach for the last glass on Friday nights. so far…

So excited to see so many new people here! I started lurking in this group before I was ready to make a change and I just want to encourage everyone that it can take baby steps. Some people do really well with setting specifical goals and then they just stick to them. I am not one of those people  After months of…

@dmally1 Welcome! Awareness and taking that first step will work wonders  This group has people of all ages with varying goals. The common focus- reducing alcohol intake and the impact it has on our lives. One thing I cannot say enough is that there is no judgement in this group- I lurked for a long time before…

@ahoy_m8 @MissMay I could have written both your posts! Those darn weekends always get me...which is odd because you'd think the workdays would have a bigger impact! Stuck to my goals this week so far - planned A day today (originally planned NA but decided to allow a light A day). I did have a moment yesterday where I…

So impressed, motivated, and inspired by the starts here! My March has been wet (planned, but over target 2/3 days) so will turn those numbers around this week. Planning AF today and tomorrow, debating for Wednesday due to planned dinner and AF again Thursday. Scale has been down when keeping an eye on drinks and I do not…

In for March! After feeling so good about how I ended February, I came very close to slipping and going over last night...but I stopped myself - literally poured out my wine. Granted, not going back for another glass at all is preferable but anything that helps me stick to my goals is a win. Plan for March is 17 A, 16 NA -…

Final check in - really wanted a glass of wine last night but once I got to the point to slow down and have one...I didn't want it anymore  Planned A tonight leaves me: 20 days on target (8 A/12 AF) and 9 days over target Slightly over my original goal of 15 AF days but I can see the improvement as I work through…
-
Doing much better staying on target the 2nd half of the month vs the 1st half! So far 16 days on target (9 AF/7 LA) and 9 A. Planning to wrap this month with 3 more AF and 1 LA.

It's crazy how much you notice when others are drinking when you're trying to stop or cutback. I believe it's a mental connection that we make over time but it also impacts like WHAT I feel like drinking based on the show...totally feel this one and it's usually one of the reasons I go over on the weekends. It's not out…

As I said yesterday, not a great start. So far 7 days on target (5 AF) and 7 over target which are NOT the numbers I wanted this month. However, we're only halfway through, plenty of time to turnaround. Planned AF next 2 days (Friday is normally an "A" day for me so an extra bit of challenge for me  ) then we'll see…

Checking in- weekend went about as I expected - went over on Saturday but I kept it under my planned drinks on Fri and Sun. Overall 7 on target, 6 over. Not a great start but committed to improving! Planned A today for Valentine's day, but may make Friday AF to still get 4 days this week.

@I_am_motivated to answer your question re: N/A drinks - In my opinion, just as you said, it is entirely up to personal preference and what your specific goals are. I personally do not consider them as drinks on my AF days whether it is a few drops of bitters in my sparkling water or an N/A beer but will still track the NA…

@xbowhunter I feel ya- started the month with the best intentions but last night was first AF day...there's still the rest of the month! Same goal, Mon-Thurs AF - this weekend we're heading to the mountains with some good friends whom we also tend to have a few with but as we have 3 kids 6 and under, I'm guessing it will…
-
@lbpfahler I could have written your exact post. Supposed to be dry yesterday but shared some wine with DH. He suggested in the morning as a post work treat and I considered sticking to my goals yesterday but ultimately the wine won. My goals are similar to yours - I have my planned days for the month and sticking to AF…

Final Damp Jan Stats: 15 days AF 8 days on target (stayed under planned drinks) 23 days total AF or on target 8 days over planned for that day (ex: 1 day was a dry day but I had one glass) Messed up my stats yesterday - counted dry days in the "on target count" Goal for Feb is 15 AF days, 100% on target
-
In for February! Still outlining goals but ultimately want them to amount to less overall - more AF days and no overage days (for users on the Reframe app, no yellow dots!)
-
Nearing the end of Damp-ish January - Stats: 14 days NA 8 days on target (dry or stayed under planned drinks) 7 days over planned for that day (ex: 1 day was a dry day but I had one glass) Not where I had hoped to be - planned AF today and tomorrow to wrap out month.
-
I love seeing all of these updates, the commitment here is so clear and so inspiring! Even when slips happen, the resilience is there. Love it! I'm doing alright with mine - mindfulness has been key for me, and focusing on limiting the amount not just AF days.
-
Continuing with Damp January - went out of town this weekend to a place that usually results in lots of wine, poor sleep, and rough mornings. Not this time! While I didn't stay dry, I had my planned drinks and stayed within my limits - used a lot of tools that we've discussed in this group over the months including playing…

So exciting and encouraging to see all the new people in this thread! Dry, Damp, whatever your goals, this is the place to be  So far 1 A, 3 AF for Jan Weight was up earlier this week which was not surprising...just a bit disheartening that I haven't been where I wanted to be since last year and with the add'l…

Happy New Year! Holidays hit hard but I'm back and also doing a Damp January. Taking goals day by day- so far 1 A, 2 AF (counting today already as I'm fighting off a nasty virus and know there is no way I can or want to have anything today!) Really wanting to be mindful of AF day totals and amount per day. Being brutally…
-
Keeping myself honest- expected December to be higher "A" days with the focus on the amount - several have been higher in drink count than I want. Will keep working on keeping drinks on A days to a limit. AF - 6 A - 11

@ahoy_m8 I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend- I hope the decor and memories associated provides some comfort this season. @MissMay I have the Sparkling Sicilian Lemonade, Lime Yuzu, and Blood Orange Ginger Beer - all make delicious mocktails and yes putting it in a fancy glass helps! Went over my goal Saturday due to…

planned "A" last night due to a Holiday dinner means planned "AF" tonight (which in itself is a departure from pre-November habits!) Did have 1 drink more than my limit last night, splash of bourbon as a nightcap when we got home. Many times I find that last splash to be my take it or leave it drink and one of my goals is…
