  • @ContraryMaryMary I once had something similar happen where I started driving! while my watch was still recording and didn’t realise until I got to the next km. I was able to go back in Garmin and Strava and edit the run. I just cropped off that part. I don’t know if it would work in your case, but might be worth a try :).…
  • @ContraryMaryMary I like winter wonderland! @John772016 I think I need to keep my eye out for nein orange shorts! With all these black shorts I just can’t seem to get my speed up ;). Today I did 2 runs. The first 2.5km was with my 10 year old, who is still working like crazy on his 6 pack…. It was nice and he could out…
  • Hi everyone, Haven’t had a lot of time to post, but just caught up reading everyone’s posts! I’ve been on Long Island, NY for about a week now. I used to come here every year as a kid but haven’t been since before I had kids. My brother lives here now, and my parents are here so lots of family time :). I have never run…
  • Hi everyone! No motivation this morning, so it’s makes it even sweeter that I managed 10.2k on the treadmill. I had to stop briefly to take a phone call mid-run (from the police no less) other than that the treadmill is usually completely uneventful ;). 60.2/270km for July.
  • Today easy 9.4 km. 50/270km for July.
  • @AlphaHowls I am so sorry for your loss!!! I’m thinking of you and your mom!
  • Hi everyone! I am now ready to make my first July post. I’m again aiming for 270. Probably not realistic, as I’m heading for New York in a little over a week. I am planning on running (and doing a 5k) while I’m there. 1.7. 10.3k treadmill 2.7 1.2k + 5.3k City Race! It was soooo hot 🔥. I ran with an ice cube filled scarf in…
  • Hi Everyone! I know I’m late to post but time has been flying. I finished June behind my goal 227.6/270. I had a lot of work and child commitments which (especially the child ones) take precedent. I’m happy to have gotten within “striking” distance of my goal.
  • @AlphaHowls I am so sorry to hear about your aunt! @Mari33a I am very sorry for your loss as well! @daria0919 I hope your husband is doing well! @Teresa502 I see you were at Neuschwanstein :)! I hope you are enjoying the Alps! @SummerSkier I am sorry to hear that you are still on the mend. I hope you can get back to…
  • Hi everyone! I haven’t been posting lately but I have been running. I feel like I am as busy now as I am getting ready for Christmas with the end of the semester, end of the school year, and loads of social engagements and appointments. The running is going well and I am doing my best to get out as often and far as I can.…
  • Hi everyone! Just got a quick 6km run in this morning while my son was swimming. 57.8/270km for June @tarun_yadavA Great unplanned half. It’s always fun when you have unexpected long runs :). @ContraryMaryMary You did great! Maybe you’ll get that PR next week! Great job all if you streakers ;)! That’s very impressive!
  • Hi everyone, I ran 10.1km on the treadmill this morning and then did a bit of weight lifting. 51.8/270km for June.
  • Hi everyone! I got in a successful tempo run on the treadmill this morning with 5x 5 minute intervals. I ran a total of 11.7km. @daria0919 I am glad your husband is doing well post surgery! So sorry to hear about your foot! I hope you make a speedy recovery! @SummerSkier I hope your injury is improving and you can get at…
  • Hi everyone! Got in 10.2km this morning. It was a nice run on the old train track route I haven’t done in awhile. Tomorrow, no running, I took the day off work and am going to the Hannover Zoo with my daughter and all of the other second graders at her school ;). 30/270km for June!
  • Hi everyone! I am going for 270km or more this month including more speed work in preparation of our highly competitive city 5km next month (not that I will be in with the competition- there are soooo many speedy runners around here). Today I went on a 9.1km run during my daughter’s swim lesson. I started off way too slow,…
  • @SummerSkier I hope your ankle is feeling better! @WarmJellyfish That sounds like a really tough race! Over heating is not good! I hope you have recovered now! I can imagine running in those temperatures with no heat training is very difficult on your body, and that was no short race! @martaindale I also have been cutting…
  • Hi everyone! I didn’t have a chance to post my final runs yet. The kids and life have been keeping me busy! I was hoping to run Friday, but we were gone all day visiting the VW Autostadt “museum” and shopping, so at least I did get a lot of walking in. On Saturday, I ran while my son was at his swim lesson. It’s a bit less…
  • Hello Everyone! I tried “boyfriend” pace this morning, but was still a bit too quick ;). It was fun. I was however reminded of my last HM, where I was struggling to keep up with the 2 hour pacer, and there was a girl and boy - early 20s - chatting to each other next to me the entire time like we were all on a leisurely…
  • Hi everyone! Just finished catching up with the posts. For all those who are hopelessly stuck in km math, like myself, boyfriend pace is about 7:30/km :). @swenson19d It sounds like you have been through a lot!!!! I’m really sorry to hear that! @John772016 and @WarmJellyfish You guys have nasty accidents! @chris_in_cal…
  • Hi everyone! @tarun_yadavA Happy belated birthday!! @kgirlhart Congrats on the new job! I am really happy for you! I hope you really enjoy the rest of your off-time before you start! Today I had my 2x half marathon of the month. I was able to arrange for my 5 year old to sleep at a friend’s house to make it possible. It…
  • @kgirlhart That does sound stressful. I’m guessing you had to walk then? Glad to hear the interview went well. I’ll keep my fingers crossed. @WarmJellyfish Nice pictures! That looks like a great trip. Sorry about your streak. Loading/unloading boats in the rain doesn’t sound like a whole lot of fun. I had 10x 30 minute…
  • Hi everyone! I have 2 runs to post. Yesterday I ran 8.3km while my daughter was at her swim lesson. Today I ran 16.1km as my final long run before my next HM. I am quite sceptical about getting a PR, as the weather will most likely be too warm for me, but I’ll give it my best. I’ll be forcing myself to taper the rest of…
  • Hi everyone, Yesterday I had a really hard interval run at the gym. 15x 1 min, 1 minute easy pace in between. That workout always tests my resolve. It is definitely a workout I would NOT recommend for a run date :). I ran 11km. The afternoon was filled with lots of 10 year old boys on bikes, with various types of balls,…
  • Hi everyone, I have been super busy with life, kids, work, home renovation disasters, and squeezing runs in when I can. On Monday I had to register my son for his next school which ate up all the time I had planned for my run, but was obviously more important :). Tuesday I ran 15.1km. It was nice to be out for so long.…
  • Hi everyone! I ran Monday, but just an easy 3.2km, because I was meeting a friend at the gym. I only felt slightly sore after the HM. The fact that I don’t feel tired from the race and my daughter led me to sign up for a second, flatter HM race at the end of the month. Maybe this time I can PR (if it is not too hot!). If…
  • Hi everyone! Thanks for all the good luck wishes! I had a really nice race and was very very happy with it, even though it wasn’t a PB. I was about 1.5 minutes off there ;). I think what I wanted most was to have fun and run under 2 hours, which I did. The course has some hills and rolling elevation, which I really felt in…
  • Hi everyone! my goal for May is 270km. I’m hoping to up my mileage again this month and also want to get back to strength training regularly. Because of my HM tomorrow, I went on an easy 3.5km run today. Yesterday was a rest day and on the first I ran 5.1km. That brings me to 8.6km/270km. Fingers crossed I can PR…
  • Hi everyone! I am hopelessly behind reading and posting, (and mileage), but I would like to finish a post for the remaining day of April. I have been backing off mileage, because I am running a HM in my city on Sunday. I now do feel completely recovered from my marathon at the beginning of the month, but that took me…
  • Hi everyone, I got in 7.6km today. It wasn’t an easy one but the weather was nice. 102.4/300km for April.
  • Hi everyone, Still feeling quite weak, but ran 10.3km. I hope I feel stronger again soon. I am supposed to run our local HM at the beginning of April, but can’t imagine doing any speed/tempo workouts this week as preparation. Still in recovery mode. Perfect spring t-shirt/shorts weather. @SummerSkier That’s awful about the…
