Great running everyone! I'm glad you made it to your race @John772016 . Looks like you are having a great trip @Teresa502 . Beautiful flowers @WarmJellyfish . And I love the new car @quilteryoyo ! That color is really pretty.

I ran a 6 mile interval run this morning. It was hot and sweaty. It was fun and I felt like I did a good job of hitting the paces for the intervals.

I had to come to Austin for a conference tomorrow, so I won't be running in the morning. I don't really want to run alone, at dawn, in downtown Austin. The hotel does have a gym, but I have never run on a treadmill, and I would be nervous to try it out by myself. I did bring my yoga mat though, so I am planning on doing a little yoga tonight, and again in the morning.

Pilates and a 20 minute recovery run for me today. My legs were shot from Monday’s Pilates so things were rather slow. And freezing, if lovely and sunny (yes, I know my freezing is not actually freezing - far from it - but it’s all relative!)

You could run on town lake Kgirl. When I visited here the first time that is what I did but I had a work friend with me (male) so being alone I would not have.

Nice Quilteryoyo… What color is that? I am seeing a lot of new cars in the gray shades these days.

I am still resting my foot from running and only doing minimal walking to get around. I decided this because after my 4 miles the original injury was still the same but I think I was using a funny gait and my instep felt strange so I did not want to cause another injury by altering my stride to weight differently. Taking a few weeks off is probably better than having secondary PF or something show up due to stressing other parts.

Cannot believe it is freezing in the southern hemisphere already altho we do have the solstice this Friday.

Chris, be careful. Are your shoes new? My shin always starts to bother me when the foam wears on my shoes. Even after only a couple hundred miles or months (I think both can be the issue distance or age).

Thanks @chris_in_cal . Glad you made it through the workout. I hope the twinges were nothing to worry about.

Thanks @kgirlhart . Nice running. I hope your conference goes well. You're going to have to seek out another runner in your new work group. Room yoga is a great alternative.

    You're doing great @ContraryMaryMary .

Thanks @tarun_yadavA . Nice run this morning.

I'm thinking about this too. I bought two different pairs of new shoes about two months ago and decided to run in one and save the second one for later. Now, I think I'm going to mix it up and alternate them.

You guys really inspire me to hang in there! And good to see new faces also. I did a test balloon mile yesterday morning and then a mile walk after work. I am not sure I am ready for prime time but mentally it really helped HAhahaha. I am a bit mental.

Yesterday's 6k run is a route I don't like, probably because of the all traffic lights I have to cross, no shade, late afternoon sun so a bit warm, but I still do it just for the mileage. Been procrastinating, finally got it done. Heat training.

The rest of this week is interesting. Today will be nice weather. From Friday through Sunday, we're going swimming for the next few days with an expected heavy rain deluge coming for 3 days. Need to find my snorkle and flippers. Super rare event since it's usually so dry here, so this will be a lot of rain for us. Forecast is for about 100mm over the 3 days including snow in the higher elevations. Will be interesting doing the trails in the rain. Slippy slidy all over I suppose. Have a longer run to do. Gotta get wet sometime or I might go hide indoors and watch a movie…..
