I have to buy some new clothes. Literally wore the smallest thing I have and I was just praying the whole time I was out it wouldn't slip down my behind when I walked (had to pick it up a few times as it is, lol). Bad News - Not sure what size I wear. Good News - That means I've lost more than I've been able to in a…

Sounds great! See you then!

I may not have made my initial goal, but I was a little ambitious about that to begin with. I'm SOOOOOOOO SOOOOOOO very happy with where I did end up though and I look forward to continuing the trend in the next several months. STARTING WEIGHT AND DATE WITH MFP(MY FITNESS PAL): Not sure this is when I started myFitnessPal…

He made meatloaf that night, with brussel sprouts and corn. He is such a great hubby.

I plan on weighing in on Saturday (9/30) as it's still MOST of a week between now and then. I've enjoyed this challenge greatly and it's helped me stay focused on my goals. I'm even more appreciative of the support I've found from other users here. Special shout out @takinitalloff who's sent me several messages of…

Tried to add you too, but I guess the system's just being cranky. Weird.

I have not...yet...LOL @capgordon6530 Hey! What's up!? I'm hoping this message finds you in good humor and that you're having a lovely day. I'm doing pretty well myself, had a few curveballs in life thrown my way but I've finally started knocking them back into the ball field. I'm looking forward to the weekend. Saturday…

I'm thinking that a lot of people I've met recently have forgotten how to savor the small things in life. They don't think of the little things as the "good things" when usually, they are. They're so worried about how "bad" everything is, they forget to hold on to the "good".

My Irk: Not having quite enough time for all my hobbies right now. I have to choose sometimes between reading, writing, painting, sculpting, cooking (trying new recipes), gaming, etc... I want to do them all so the choice is hard.

I used to be like that. Eventually I got over it and now I'm the nut-job that yells "Awesome T-shirt" or "Keep up the hard work" out the window of the car or in a store or wherever to random strangers I see. It cracks my husband up every time, and I've actually struck up some interesting conversations from it. I've not…

Don't get upset with yourself. Diet/weightloss is part of a lifestyle change, which takes time. You didn't put it on overnight, you aren't going to loose it overnight. Since you walk so much, that movement may not be enough of an exercise anymore for your body to consider it a "work out". Have you thought about buying the…

My A1C dropped by 2.5 - Woot! Also, a pair of pants I bought at the beginning of the year I can't wear because they fall off now - Double Woot!

@nossmf I recently fell in love with a grilled cheese that used a slice of colby jack and a slice of munster. My husband like grilled cheese with sharp cheddar. What cheese is your favorite on a grilled cheese?

@writersbox22 Hummus is and AMAZING secret weapon. I don't know if you know this or not, but if you're using store bought hummus rather than making your own it tends to be very thick. You can use a little extra virgin olive oil and mix into it to thin it out to a more desireable consistency and there are a ton of seasoning…

@westrich20940 Roasted chicken is great. If you have a big-box store in your area, like Costco, you may want to see if they have pulled roasted chicken. My Costco usually sells like a 3lb bag of roasted chicken that's already been pulled, which for me is a huge time saver. I use it to toss into salads/wraps for quick…

So, I haven't checked in for a bit. Had a bit of a house emergency we had to deal with and got side tracked, but I'm back now. Looks like I'm only at 22 of my total 39lbs I'd hoped to loose. Pulling that off in 2 weeks is going to be tight but...I still got 2 weeks so I'm trying. I hope everyone else is doing well and I…

If you hate what you eat, you're not going to be able to stick to a healthy lifestyle for long (in my opinion). However, most seasonings and such have negligible calories so there really isn't a reason to not eat good food, you just may have to learn to cook a little different. For me, it helped to focus on one meal at a…

I only weigh once a week, any more than that I start stressing whether it's moving or not. If you're exercising a lot, creating muscle may be balancing out loosing fat so it may not be a bad thing if you're looking about the same. Don't fixate on the numbers when you're hitting a flatline, focus on other aspects: are your…

I'm a fan of roasted mushrooms and a tomato salad (diced fresh tomatoes, a couple of ounces of diced fresh mozzerella, and a drizzle of baslamic vinegar - I'd add a little italian herbs or smilar spice mix of your choice) English muffin, toasted, with stone ground mustard and sliced turkey. Cottage cheese and diced…
