  • They’re not ads. I have premium, renewed a couple months ago. It’s lines popping up to tell me if something is high in protein, sugar, etc. See pic
  • I had foot surgery in February and was completely off my feet for about 8 weeks. I couldn’t walk AT ALL. I had lost about 20# up till then and just decided to just accept that I wouldn’t be able to exercise at all. What I did do was stick to my calorie and protein goals. It felt very discouraging because when we sit…
  • No. If you’re hungry, your body needs something. It may just be the water that’s satisfying you. Drink at least 100oz of water daily, eat enough calories, protein and fat. Don’t restrict your calories to the point you’re always hungry. That’s a recipe for going off the rails and binging.
  • High fiber, low carb or keto tortillas. I do NOT do keto or low carb those marketed as such usually have 12-18g fiber, and they all taste pretty good. I usually have one daily and that boosts my fiber tremendously.

  • I’m 62 and started this journey in September. I’ve lost 20# slowly and consistently by staying within the calorie limit as calculated by the app, ensuring I get atleast 30% protein, and really concentrating on getting enough water (72 oz is my minimum goal). I had foot surgery 6 weeks ago and have had to be pretty…

  • Make a plan and stick to it. Set a timer if you need to. I babysit my busy 1 & 3 year old grands at their house about once a week and we eat breakfast and lunch together. I make them whatever they’re going to have and make something else for myself. I go prepared with a plan and make sure I have what I need.

  • What would be your purpose for trying it? If you’re looking at it as a weight loss miracle pill, save your money. Many advertisers says it “supports weight loss” and that’s just sketchy. There are no miracle pills. I see on here DAILY people who’ve opted for pills and shots and lost weight, but they’re back to square one…
  • Maybe it isn’t too creative but I find that weighing DAILY has really helped, and planning most meals a day ahead of time. The daily weight just confirms for me that there are always fluctuations but I can see that consistent downward trend. It isn’t a fast weight loss but it is consistent and I see that this slow roll is…
  • I will literally just see what’s in the fridge and pantry and put things in my plate until I have the calories and macros I need. Today that was the last of some leftover meatloaf with raw carrots and some cherry tomatoes. May be string cheese, and egg or two and some fruit. I usually have makings for a salad and can find…
  • I am tracking everything and just estimating the best I can when necessary. I think it’s helping be more accountable to myself and probably am being more mindful of what I’m actually eating. All those little cheats really add up and it’s easy to just keep at it and throw in the towel. I’d encourage you to track
  • Hi Brenda. I turned 62 this week myself and need to lose about 30#. Weight has been a struggle for the past 25 years or so but I retired 2 years ago and my cholesterol and BP are starting to climb so I decided it’s now or never. I started MFP early September and started walking almost daily. I’m up to walking 3-5 miles…
  • Hi Jennifer and welcome. Have you tried making your own sourdough bread? I’m also struggle with gluten issues. No UC or Crohn’s but some colitis that is aggravated by gluten. Goes into remission for a while and raises its ugly head for months at a time. However, I started making sourdough a year or so ago and find it’s…

  • There’s no rule that says you can only weigh yourself once a week. Sometimes I weigh a few times a week and sometimes just once. We just have to not get hung up and discouraged over a slight gain as long as you’re trending down at a slow pace. These slight temporary gains so easily derail people and they decide “it’s not…
  • I did WW and it did work and I know many people who’ve had success with it. I got disenchanted with them constantly changing the whole program and having to relearn everything. Was so frustrating and I ended up having to learn different point values when they changed. I was done when they bought out a company so they could…
  • I subscribed to Body Groove a few weeks ago and it’s sooo much fun and pretty easy to do at your own pace. It really gets the heart rate up too while being easy to keep up with
