Reducing inflammatory food intake (red meat, hyper-processed foods, etc.), reducing stress, and losing weight definitely helped me. The big part is the eating/drinking piece. I flare when I am really stressed out and not eating well.

This is what works for me: I set phone reminders and calendar reminders. The more "in-my-face" it is, the more I'll build the habit. Maybe post-it notes with your shoes or vehicle keys? LOG YOUR FOODS! Don't be too hard on yourself, you know that you want/maybe need to log, keep trying!

Med diet, for sure. More flexibility with foods, still mostly low-carb. I am not giving up bread 100%.

I was devastated to find out SparkPeople ended. I used it in the early 2000s to lose almost 50 pounds. I found the tools and motivation especially helpful. I have been using MFP pro recently, and it has been almost as good as a motivator. Sending spark goodies to all of the hard working weight loss pioneers!
