Sort of a NSV. (Well it's more then just a scale!)
Had my body fat percentage checked on a InBody machine. I'm came in at 13.4%!24 -
I have to buy some new clothes. Literally wore the smallest thing I have and I was just praying the whole time I was out it wouldn't slip down my behind when I walked (had to pick it up a few times as it is, lol). Bad News - Not sure what size I wear. Good News - That means I've lost more than I've been able to in a LOOOOONG time since I don't have anything in a size I can wear. Other good thing - I work from home so...I can deal with PJ's/oversized clothes and only buy a couple of things for going out untill I finish my weight loss journey.26

Having to replace my belt for the second time this year.17

I’ve been living beyond the outer edge, in a land called Obesity Class III or Morbidly Obese. The World Health Organization calls it “Very Severely Obese.” In other words: I had eaten myself to a place that was beyond the last official measuring post of how fat a person can get. It’s like outer space: you can always keep going, but they can’t even describe where you are anymore. Well, as of today, I’m back inside that horrible border beyond which there are no further borders. I’m now just “severely obese,” class II obese, garden variety obese, whatever we want to call it: there’s a line I will never cross again beyond which things are even worse! BMI 39.9, baby!39

My favorite ring fits again! I had it custom made and I love how it looks and feels. I haven't been able to wear it in years. It slides right on and off, omg I'm so happy 💍27

Your progress is incredibly inspiring!! Well done. 🎉11 -
After about 2 years of trying to get back into running and life constantly getting in the way in one way or another, I finally got back to the point where I can run 5k without stopping. I straight up nearly cried out in the street when I checked my running app.30

I had my shirt pulled up while I buttoned my jeans. I happened to look in the mirror and had to do a double take. There are "indents" on both sides! I know that sounds weird, LOL. I have actual curves! Now, granted, they don't curve out to my hips, they curve out to the fat that is still my lower torso. But 10 months ago that whole area was just round.
Also, I can wear my mother's ring on my middle finger. Whereas before I had to slather my hands with lotion to get it on my ring finger.
I went a couple months with no downward movement on the scale and was getting pretty discouraged. I just keep reading your NSV's and they really help me not give up and remember it's about so much more than that number.29 -
I put my legs up against the wall yesterday after learning that this (and compression socks) might help with my leg soreness. And while I was lying there on my back with my feet up, I thought to myself, that's a pretty nice-looking pair of legs! I seriously kept checking out my own legs and nodding approvingly I've certainly never in my life thought of my legs as nice-looking, so this is a pleasant change of events.
@tamisteffens CONGRATS on your new-found curves! That is so awesome! Keep at it and let us know what happens next25 -
I can buy clothes at Costco again! They have some great deals on winter clothes and since I’m planning to be in a different size by next winter but last winter’s clothes are too baggy to look professional (or stay on), it was nice to get some deals. And I’m not even getting the largest size they sell anymore.22

I've hit a bunch of NSV recently.
My one pair of size 20 jeans are now way too big on me and just fall off as I walk.
The one pair of size 18 jeans I have are getting loose (I can pull them down without unbuttoning them).
I can sit cross-legged in my chair again.
My wedding ring fits again. I had to stop wearing it over a year ago because it was too tight and painful.
Also, all of my 2XL men's shirts are really baggy now and I can comfortably fit into XLs again (maybe with some slight stretching of the arms and waist).
At this rate, in another month, I won't have any pants to wear because the 18s will be falling off of me.21 -

That is amazing. Congrats.
Thank you : )2 -
I'd become afraid of wearing fitted pants....like jeans. I was still wearing leggings and nice sweat pants....but the sizes were getting smaller. I find it REALLY DIFFICULT to accept my shrinking size!! Especially my bottom half....I STILL live with the "trauma" of too tight jeans over my hips that won't fasten.
Last night I eased into a new way of dressing. A favourite dressy top in M is FINALLY too big...so I wore a much prettier shirt that fit better. My leggings are now huge...OK! I went for my old size 10 jeans. They fit PERFECTLY! Not tight at all!! Even when I sat all night! I'm slowly getting used to my new/old self. It's like going back to a favourite vacation spot twenty years later! 😍22 -
I attended my first low impact aerobics class in about 10 years. I was a bit intimidated to go, but also really excited to have the opportunity. I loved every minute of it. I think I was the heaviest one there.28

New guy at the gym hopped off the leg press.
“You done?”
“Yes, ma’am” and he politely started to take the 45 he had on each side off.
“Please leave ‘em”, and I proceeded to add an another 45 to each side. He was looking at me like “yeah, right, lady”.
I saw him furtively side eyeing me as I did my progressive presses and calf lifts. He looked crushed and had dropped all pretense of pretending not to look by the time I had three 45s and a 25 on each side. I could see him shaking his head in disbelief in the mirror.
Never underestimate the little silver haired ladies, gents.
And, as I told my friends this morning, my costume today is thinner me, with a fat lady still hiding inside.
This is still new territory and yeah, I exult in messing with people’s heads. Including my own, lol.47 -

Had dr appt for 1st time since really committing to MFP (in May 2023), and beginning Mounjaro for type 2 diabetes.
-My A1C down from high of 6.6 in Dec 2022, to 4.8 yesterday!
-Also, my kidney function improved, likely due to being adequately hydrated, as I have been really working on drinking more water.
Happy Dance 🕺🏿

I've been walking enough that I can now walk as fast as my body will go, for as long as I want, so I tried jogging for the first time since my 20's. I went for about a minute, It didn't hurt, I didn't get completely burning-lung winded and it felt really good.30

So I’m now 73 days into my journey and have lost 23/30 lbs I had myself a target to lose before the end of the year!
I have been IF and trying to drink at least 2 litres of water. My work uniform trousers are noticeably easier to wear without struggling. A lot of stomach fat has definitely gone.
I’m hoping that by the time I get to 100 days I will have lost the remaining. 7 lbs or more!
I am determined to go into 2024 in the best shape I’ve in for the past 10 years and carry on the healthy habits I’ve learned.29 -
I have a few NSVs, in addition to SV. NSVs first!
- My rings are LOOSE! I told my husband I need to get those squishy things you put on the back side to hold them tight.
- A hoodie I bought five years ago fits MUCH more comfortably this year than last year
- All of my jeans are getting looser
- I went down a size in leggings
- I feel less bloated and have more energy to get through the day (though, it could also be that my diabetes is coming into control)
- My psoriasis flares are less often and not as large
- My moods are more stable
SVs:
- Without realizing how bad of shape I was in, I went from being 225 pounds last year to 197.4 this morning. I didn't even really do anything differently other than become more conscious of what I eat, when I eat, why I eat, and how much I sit on my butt at work during the day (and on the weekends, because let's face it - binge watching TV is everyone's favorite thing)
I'm on my way to being a better version of myself. I'm not in it for vanity, I'm in it to live as long and as happily as I can.

Two related nsv's.
I used to walk to get groceries (about 1/2 mile away) every 3 or 4 days. I sat and rested on the bridge railing 1/2 way, and a few more times on the way home. I switched the groceries from right hand to left hand to carrying like a baby often.
Walked yesterday and today. First time ever two days in a row. I forgot all about stopping to rest.
About 1/2 way home, I realized the groceries weren't heavy (yes, I bought as many as usual) and I hadn't changed hands. That's when I remembered this is where I usually stop and rest. No need.
Right now, I feel like I can do it again tomorrow.30 -
I completed a 30 day squat challenge for the month of October! Key word being COMPLETED… I stayed on track and did the entire month except one day I skipped due to injury. I wasn’t sure I’d be able to stay committed or do that many squats 😮💨😊🤗 but I did it!!!32

My first time being able to post a nsv! I can finally fit behind the steering wheel of my car with extra space! I noticed today, such a great feeling!33

I'm down one notch on my belt and my waist is reappearing. I also realised that I have started looking in the mirror again after months of avoiding it. Just as well because there's a giant one in my hallway that's hard to avoid lol!24

I dressed up for a meeting today. I felt good. New boots, new coat. A couple of friends said I looked good and then asked how much weight I’d lost. I smiled, and crossed my legs comfortably! They crossed easily, and I was a bit shocked at myself. Firstly, I didn’t think people noticed my weight loss of 45 lbs. Secondly, I crossed my legs without thinking.30

On August 29, 2023, I walked (slowly) from my house to the end of my street and back...about six minutes. Yesterday, I walked briskly for 20 minutes.42

Measurement day!
Over the past couple months, I've lost: 1.2" from my neck, 1.4" from my upper arm, 5.2" from my belly/butt, 2.5" from my thigh, and 0.8" from my calf.
Over the past month, I've lost: 1.7" from my waist, and 4.2" from my hips.27 -

A few weeks ago I tried on a bunch of tops and bottoms and none of them fit. Too big for the 12 and too small for the 14 and nothing fit and I left the shop upset about my body.
However, I still desperately need work clothes so yesterday while shopping for other things
I was brave and tried on other things. I’m a 14 in dresses - fit like a glove and a 12 in tops 😊😊😊😊😊21 -
I ate the most delicious half-carrot of my entire life today. Like, seriously. I like veggies very much anyway, but I didn't know a carrot could be this good. Been eating low carb since June and I'm now increasing my carbs a bit again, so eating half a carrot was in the budget. (I've been eating mostly greens and green veggies during the summer/fall.) Yum. It was so sweet, it honestly tasted like dessert to me.21
