Today was a good self image day. My waist comes in at the sides, my gut is smaller than my chest. Wearing a well-fitting shirt helps, there. Don't know if it will last, but today is a good day.32

Woke up with a sore lower back this morning. Talked myself out of going to the gym, because it is deadlift day. Went on with the day - pain went away by 10 am. So I went to the gym tonight. Pulled 3x5x205 with the trap bar.27

Yesterday I managed to do 3x10 reps of 5kg below my one rep max. Really loving weight lifting!18

Today I figured out what I need to do to lower my HR while running. Thereby transforming my difficult run into an effortless run and giving me hope that I can run more miles than I ever thought. I was starting to give up on it all.28

I joined the gym this week and went 3 times.36

I complained a while back that I have to tug at a lot of my shorts if I am not wearing a belt. Kind of mixed news - this morning a pair fell to the floor when I put my phone in a pocket. the odd thing is that with a belt they look fine. They are barely too big all over, one of the few that I found that fit my new shape well. I am shaped different by losing to this weight than I was years ago when this was my normal weight.16

Going shopping and looking at tops and picking up the size I used to wear and saying to my daughter, "This is cute." And she says, "Mom, it's too big."18

Slow down? Or something else? Such a great feeling to go farther than you have before!5 -
@anyWendy I found that I was swinging my arms too actively and high. I lowered them and loosened up my swing. I also took a few deep breaths - and told myself to slow down - by taking smaller steps. And, it all worked. It made such a difference. It was such an awesome feeling.23

I was stretching my legs after a run and realized that my heel is touching my butt. That hasn't been possible for a long time.14

My pants are getting loose too. It is annoying to have to pull them up, but I like that I am getting smaller.
Hopefully you were inside when they fell.8 -

Best weight loss clothing accessory: a belt! Shrinking body means so many of my pants are now baggy. I hate having to buy new clothes that I know I'm just going to shrink out of, so a good belt has been such a lifesaver (and embarrassment preventer - no more accidentally showing the world my underwear because my pants are literally falling off).3 -
I was able to buy a size down in leggings at the store! Being so overweight, I only had 2 pairs and only wear them under dresses, and neither were black, and I needed black to wear under a new dress. The dress is more loose than when I bought it last month, I probably could have bought down a size there too.
I signed up for my first 5k today, it's a virtual race that takes place in the fall. I don't think I'll be able to run the whole thing with my knees, but I am going to run for what I can, walk the rest. They give out Unisex "tech hoodies" but didn't have any photos up of what they looked like. I automatically selected the 2XL, then I looked at the size chart. Based on the chest measurement, I actually fit in the Large! No clue if it will actually fit, but I'll size down into it over time. I'm 20 pounds down since March, and if I stay on track, I'll be closer to 30 pounds down when the jacket actually gets here in September.22 -
@moodybear2003 Sounds like you are doing great! Good Luck for the 5K - just remember that however much of it you manage to run, it'll be more than you could have done in March 😁😁16

Week 8, run 3 completed of C25K.
Bit of a mild panic in the shower. I thought I’d found a lump under my chest. Shouted for my husband who confirmed it was my sternum! Mild terror and then joy all at the same time.18 -
I wore the wrong jeans and they fit!
Yesterday morning I was getting dressed in a hurry. I grabbed a pair of jeans I had taken off the day before and put them on, and a couple of minutes later I left the house. All day I kept thinking the fabric of the jeans didn't feel quite right but I was too busy to pay attention.
This morning when I picked up the jeans I saw an unfamiliar button and realized it was a pair I'd never worn before. A few months ago a friend was taking some jeans to give to Goodwill and I asked her to give them to me instead for a craft project. They were a size smaller than mine so I didn't expect them to fit, but I tried them on anyway. Nope. I set them aside for crafting. Well, I procrastinated too long on the craft project because yesterday morning they were still sitting in the same place as my other jeans, but I didn't even notice because they slid right on! I'd been feeling a little discouraged with my efforts, so that was a nice boost.23 -
My balance is much better. Couldn't do a hamstring stretch without dropping my leg but now I can.14

I finished the last week, last day, of the C25K program this morning! Yay, ran 5k in 31:12 minutes. (Did the run 5k option over time option to see if how fast I could run it).33
