I can jump squat and lunge jump.. 🤭 oh my,… my thighs are like jello now. 💪
I LOVE Apple fitness. Great job.9 -
After losing steadily for 2 months I have had about a month of no net progress due to not being consistent. Not giving up! Everyone who has done this says it’s not linear. I think changing seasons has a bit to do with it for me, also fun perimenopausal things like feeling like I have PMS for a month. Getting back to basics and trying to hack my satiety, here for the long haul.22

Two things that have made me happy lately. The first is that the urge to eat my emotions seems to have finally vanished. The second is that I can now fit into some of my old dresses that I've missed wearing and I'm getting close to fitting into my favourite one.22

Going to the store to try on new clothes. Im surprised to find out I’m a size 6 and no longer a 10.27

During my AquaFit class today, someone passed around a pair of eclipse glasses so we could all take a look. What a cool thing to be able to witness a solar eclipse in person. I would not have had this opportunity if I hadn't been out there for the class... I might have known about the eclipse, but there's zero chance I would have picked up a pair of glasses in time.
Also, when I first started this class back in August, I had to wear the large float belt thingie, and I'm now down to a small22 -
Now that I am eating better, I crave snacks a lot less. Snacks have always been a problem for me and I used to crave chips (crisps), cookies and chocolate all the time. I'm surprised at how little I think about or want them now. It is interesting and unexpected, but very welcome!21

So many inspiring NSVs! I haven't weighed myself in ages....I actually don't own a scale....but have been feeling smaller. My entire exercise outfit today.....leggings, t-shirt and hoodie were all a large. The t-shirt and hoodie were HUGE! The leggings were definitely loose...still wearable....but roomy. I'm going to downsize to Medium. Someone posted that they were now no longer concerned about throwing their work out clothes in the dryer! I remember babying my leggings....lol....into the dryer they go! (The t-shirt will now be a sleep shirt). 😀18

Your post just made me think that I also don’t crave snacks so much anymore. I’m way more pickier over what I spend my calories on

Went to take off sweatshirt after walking dog. It’s new, a men’s small, because I loved the design, washed once.
Had a bit of a time getting it over my head. Moment of panic. Did it shrink that much or….no, scale doesn’t show it, can’t be that.
Wasn’t til I got it off, I realized. I forgot to take off the flashing LED waist and I use when walking dog in the dark. It was set at the smallest setting and still slipped up and over my head, even tangled up in an oversized cuddly thick sweatshirt.
This morning’s walk. Too nice not to share:
And an unfinished piece from our chalk festival, which finishes today for allllll you cat lovers:

That is amazing. Congrats.10 -
Today I was able to sit with my legs crossed. I was sitting on a couch and suddenly realized that I had done it without thinking. I haven't been able to have my legs crossed at the knee for quite a while.24

For me there are 2 things….
First going clothes shopping and finding I am almost 2 sizes smaller. Not long until the next size will fit comfortably.
Second is no longer getting pins and needles in my feet and hands not swelling up when doing long walks24 -
Wearing a tight t shirt tucked into my pants without seeing an overhang from my tummy pouch! It’s been a long time!
Also I have a cold/flu at the moment but I haven’t given in and gone on a comfort eating binge even though my weight is a little higher than normal this week.
I am mentally committed and have another 11 lbs to lose by the end of the year23 -
I went to the gym and to the pool for the first time in years (have been to the pool more recently, but not both in one day).15
-
I can hook my bra behind my back. That is something I haven't done in years... the other day I decided to try, and it was so easy I'm still flabbergasted.
I can also fit back into a bathing suit that I bought years ago and only managed to use a couple times before I gained weight. It's still quite tight and I'm not ready to actually wear it to the pool, but it doesn't look half bad23 -
Tried on size 10/30 jeans and besides them being too long, I’m a shorty, they fit!!! I can’t ever remember wearing a size 10, at least not as an adult woman 😆🤗23

I competed in nine Sprint Triathlons this Summer! Not the fastest, but not the slowest. Managed to finish third in my 60-64 age group in one:
I'd be a little faster if I wasn't riding a "Comfort" bike. Had to pass three guys in my age group on the run to podium!

Does anyone else just get angst-y to move faster sometimes? I have been walking a lot and I have been feeling the itch to run - which is weird because that is soo not my thang. And every time I hear the music in the commercial for the Assassin's Creed Mirage game - it always seems like a good running song.
So two nights ago I went out and did it, mile was 17:40. I didn't use music and my interval timer (I am doing a sort of C25K thing but my own because when I have tried it in the past I felt like it advanced too fast) only went halfway so then I had to do a makeshift thing and I don't think that helped.
I was planning to run tonight but I already had 10,000 steps by the time I got hime so I didn't feel like I needed the exercise. But I decided to do it anyway because I wanted to stick with the plan (especially so early on in the game), my mile was 16:15! This time I had music and I found a much better timer to use to time the intervals (that was built in to the app I use for tracking my walks, bike rides, etc - I had no idea until now).
So the NSVs - sticking to my plan and even trying this running thing (albeit for the umpteenth time) in the first place. Also, I made beet fries yesterday and they are pretty good. I am a picky eater so that is a big achievement to try something new like that.
Edit to fix an autocorrect.19 -
Two NSVs for me this time:
1) I've started walking around the block once or twice most days. There's a fairly long and steep hill included - gets my heartrate up! Yesterday I realised that I was finding it easier to walk up.
2) My clothes are a bit looser and more comfortable.
I'm very happy with both of these!22 -
I crossed my legs today. I didn't do it on purpose, it just happened... I had forgotten what that feels like!24

I have been eating a ton more vegetables and beans/legumes lately. I’m finding new and interesting ways to enjoy them. I’ve also gotten really into tofu and find myself ordering it wherever I go. Now if I could just let go of the sweets… 😂20
-
@EliseTK1 The book Allen Carr’s Easy Way to Quit Emotional Eating cured me of wanting sweets. Highly recommend. It’s a quick read that changed my life.
He has another book specifically about sugar: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/29382984-good-sugar-bad-sugar that I’ve been told is good too, but I didn’t read it because the first one did the trick for me.8 -
I was able to comfortably pull on and wear a hoodie I purchased earlier in the year and was totally unable to wear in July! Love being able to wear more of my wardrobe every day!!25
-
Today I put on my size 16 jeans, and they fit -- not well, but I could zip them up without gymnastics. A few more pounds and I can wear them out! So excited.
Also I ran into a neighbor I hadn't seen for a few weeks and he commented that I'm losing weight (can't remember how he put it exactly) which is also exciting because at 45 lbs down now, I have gotten exactly three comments so far! I look so different already, and apparently most people can't see it. Or maybe they're not wanting to say anything for some reason, who knows. (Not that it matters, it's just funny/fascinating to me.)
@mikerommfp Congratulations on your amazing progress! Yay for getting off those cholesterol meds, that is so cool.23 -
I looked in an old ww journal I have, and when I first logged my weight 3 years ago I was 10.1kg heavier!22
-
I can fit into a pair of boots that I bought last year that I've never been able to wear! I've worn them three times now.23
-
Sort of a NSV. (Well it's more then just a scale!)
Had my body fat percentage checked on a InBody machine. I'm came in at 13.4%!24
