  • Can we get all shout-out from all the vertically challenged??? I'm 5'2 also and not ashamed to say weighing in at 244. It's better than where I was. Stay strong and stay motivated!! We are all here for the same reason and can understand the struggles.
  • Hey, it's okay to restart. Restarting is better than not starting at all. No matter what, everyday is a new chance to get it right. We all have those moments when we fall off the wagon. Just pick up the pace and run like hell to get back on the wagon! Keep going! Stay motivated, stay strong, and stay away from the bad…
  • Truth?? I want my outside to match my inside. Inside I am Wonder Woman!! I am fierce, sexy, and nothing can stop me. I feel like this everyday, TRUTH!! But when I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror it's like WHOAA!! Who the hell is that? Plus I'm extremely photogenic! I have a nice smile and love being in front of the…
  • Have you tried lunchtime workouts? I find that's the only time I can get in any exercise withouth interrupting my time with my little one. I only get in 30 minutes but 30 minutes is better than no minutes. Of course it helps to have an understanding supervisor and a gym in the same plaza as your office, but that's just me.…
  • First time mom here! My bundle of joy (or terror depending on the mood he's in) is almost 17 months old. I had actually lost 60lbs prior to getting pregnant which is probably why I was able to conceive. I am back because I miss my pre-baby body and I was so close to getting to my goal of being out of the 200's. It's seems…
  • Thanks!! I really appreciate the advice. I got my workout in and have been drinking lots and lots more water. Plus having a good lunch so hopefully all goes well. I'm sure it will. Thank you!!
  • My doc told me to eat the amount of calories you want to weigh, so...... If you want to weigh 120 lbs then you would eat 1200 calories. It was something like that. Either way, it's not so much about "OH MY GOSH! I CAN ONLY EAT LETTUCE ALL DAY" as it is, "Okay, I am aware of what I am eating". I like to think, when you eat…
  • This journey is not an easy one, but it does help to have supportive people around you. That is why I keep coming back to MFP. My first go around, I dropped 60 lbs. Started with Zumba and really portion control. Then I got pregnant and now I am back again to try to work on the baby weight (which is tough with no energy).…
  • If I am going out to a restaurant that I know is a Chain restaurant, I try to do my homework first. I look up the website and see if they have nutritional information. That way I can plan my meal in advance and try to reduce as many calories as possible. Isn't always applicable but I say try if you can!
  • I can totally relate on the emotional eating. February was a rough month. Baby sick, husband laid off. I did a lot of eating. But the important thing is that you remain focused and stay healthy for your little one on the way. When I was pregnant, I was so upset at the idea I would be gaining weight because I had worked for…

  • It's a fantastic investment! I struggle with portion control. This way I always know the exact weight of home cooked food like my proteins.

  • We've all been there. Yes the 1st week is the hardest. But once you have that weigh-in and see the results, it makes it all worth it. Keep going, stay focused, stay motivated!!!
  • You're right. No sense in not having it open. We have to be honest with ourselves. Good or bad. I am changing mine!
  • We've all been there! I understand about starting over. Trying to start over here too. Had a 65lb loss then got pregs and now working off 50lbs. It's not insane to be motivated. You know you've done it once before and you can do it again. Just think about the feeling you had when you lost that weight. Didn't you feel…
  • I hear ya! Went on a MFP hiatus to have a baby (1st one) and now I have 41lbs to lose to be back to my pre-baby weight. Then another 20lbs after that to be at the goal weight I was so close to hitting! It's hard to get going again but no matter how hard it was you can always begin again. Keep going! Stay motivated! I'm…
  • AMAZING!!!! So close to your goal! You've done a fantastic job! Keep going! Stay motivated!
  • Awesome!! Keep going!!!
  • We've all been there too. I lost 65lbs and gained almost all back due to pregnancy. Working my way back down slowly but surely. MFP is a fantastic way to hold yourself accountable but also vent and find support. We are all there with you!! Keep going!
  • San Antonio in the house! Whoo-hoo! Just getting back on MFP and super excited!! Miss this!
  • I want to run. I know it's simple but honest. My biggest dream is to be able to run a half or a regular marathon.
  • Ladies, you will do awesome! Just keep going and stay strong. It's not a diet, it's a lifestyle change!! Be the change you want to see!
  • Sometimes I feel like I'm afraid to eat because I don't want to gain anything but then the hunger usually takes over! I figure as long as I work out and stay active I should be okay! Thanks for the info!!
