  • That is truly incredible, way to go!!
  • Eat breakfast - it does kick start your metabolism for the day and increases your weightloss. And think about this - if you eat dinner at 6 pm and it's your last meal for the day, does it really make sense to wait 18 hours to eat again?? But, if you really don't like eating breakfast, it would be good to start small, maybe…
  • Congratulations!! And don't worry that the weight isn't coming off as fast as you might like because the important thing is that you are changing your life. You probably didn't gain the weight overnight, so it won't go away that fast. But making the decision to lose it is one of the best decisions you can make for…
  • I have also been sick and not going to the gym for the past week and a half. I've been working though, and staying within my calories, so just looking forward to feeling better and hitting it again.
  • Never done BodyPump, but I LOVE ZUMBA!!

  • I love Zumba - I take 3 regular Zumba classes a week, plus a Zumba Toning class. I honestly can't get enough of it!!!
  • What a wonderful story! Thank you so much for sharing! I went on a family camping trip over the summer and hate how I look in every single picture. I am working on changing that so on next year's trip I will not only look great, but feel great. Thanks again for sharing your story!
  • I'd love to be at my goal weight, though with the holidays that may be tricky, but dropping another pant size seems pretty doable to me at this point.
  • I thought about trying to eat less at lunch maybe so I could move the calories, but I only eat about 400 calories for lunch. I've also been thinking that I might just not be eating enough in general.
  • Thanks for the advice. Today I had a 90 calorie cheddar cheese stick at about 2, then a 140 calorie yogurt smoothie at 3. I got to the gym about 3:40 and was feeling pretty hungry after about 45 minutes of my workout.
  • I'm just saying I don't want to have to eat an extra meal before working out just so I don't feel like I'm starving.
  • Way to go! That is so awesome! I ran my first 5k last month and it was a fantastic experience, so glad I did it. And now all I wanna do is run more! And don't worry about the time, you accomplished something important, even if it wasn't as fast as you would have liked!! Be proud of what you did!
  • Swimming. I like to do freestyle with just my arms and it can get my heart rate going. And most pools should have little floats to hold between your legs to make it easier to swim with just your arms.
  • Honestly, I tend to just go with less because without a good heart rate monitor it's almost impossible to get exactly right. Maybe do the slower pace with a little added time to make up the difference. Ultimately, over time you'll get better at knowing how hard your workout was and feeling like you burned more or fewer…
  • That is totally adorable! Thanks for sharing! :)
  • I use flavored Coffeemate creamer in my coffee, and not the fat free or anything. Honestly, I just refuse to give it up. You could try the fat free creamer or if you like sweet the sugar free stuff, both have fewer calories. But I love my coffee with real sweetener, so that;'s how I drink it.
  • Yeah I find it hard to eat a lot after a night workout, so I usually eat some snacky things slowly and that works for me.
  • You can exercise in the cold weather, though I wouldn't suggest it when temperatures start getting close to or below zero. Essentially, if it hurts to breathe in the cold when you're just walking to your car, you probably shouldn't be out exercising in that weather. As far as clothing wear multiple light layers that can be…
  • I also wanted to start running, so that's basically what I did. I got on the treadmill, bumped it up to a comfortable jog (where I could still breathe easily enough to hold a conversation) and went until I felt I needed to stop, then I slowed to a walk for a couple minutes before running again. And I was pretty much…

  • I think as long as you aren't chugging venti quad shots all day, you're probably doing just fine. If you think you're drinking too much, I would say try cutting back to maybe just one cup in the morning to get you going and stay away from it the rest of the day. Coffee is one thing I can't/don't want to give up, I love it.…
  • I honestly have no idea why the 1200 calorie threshold is so important. I think the most important thing is eating the right foods so your body is getting proper nutrition. I really gauge it by if I feel hungry when I go to bed at night I probably didn't eat enough so then I will probably have a quick, healthy snack. So it…

  • It definitely varies depending on your body type. I'm about 5'4" and my goal right now is to drop 50 pounds from my starting weight which was 202 pounds. I am at 179.6 right now and I feel great. Ultimately, I'm going to see how I look and feel after I lose my initial goal and then decided how much more I want to lose. The…
  • It's really different for everyone but I have found that just counting my calories has made dieting much easier for me than it ever has been before. But I think some good general rules are having healthy snacks available for when you do get hungry, planning your meals, and not going so long between eating that you are…
