  • I'm going to log it as circuit training for now. The trainer on the video does throw in cardio intervals. It's a serious workout for me...far harder than I expected. The wife and I are getting HRMs next paycheck so that'll help, I guess.
  • Don't be self-conscious! Being here is a step in the right direction. Regardless of how much anyone needs to lose, we can all use each others' support.
  • If they enjoy the food you provide, then feel free to provide it. It's their choice to eat that way or not. If they also stop eating that way, then you'll have to provide more healthy snacks.
  • Missing a goal can be really frustrating, but don't let it get you down. It sounds like you've identified possible causes for missing the goal. Set a new goal and focus on those issues...if you're right about why you missed you could succeed the next time. Don't admit defeat! There's a whole community here to help.
  • This makes a lot of sense to me, since I've continued to eat the way I did during my Marine Corps years. I deduce then, that as I increase my activity (running, calisthenics, etc) that my body will use that protein to build muscle and as I burn off the fat we may someday see my now-absent six-pack. :D
