  • Thanks a bunch, I really appreciate your kindness and understanding. I plateaued about 3 months into my weightloss, then once again for only a week before I went to NY. I've lost 2 more pounds in the 2 weeks since I came back. I really think my body responded to being "chocked" with calories and then chocked again going…
  • thanks to all of you for your input. I will definitely take all your advices into consideration!! I don't think I'm ready yet to stall or even gain back some more pounds...I don't feel mentally ready to accept that!!
  • I try to have dinner much later, around 8:30 or 9 if I can wait that long. I usually don't get hungry after that. Or I brush my teeth. It's like a signal to my brain that nope, no more food will enter this clean mouth haha
  • thanks everyone!! I hope to post more pics soon. I want to get to 50 pounds before I do though!! yay 20 pounds to go!
  • thanks everyone!!! and thanks tony for posting the pic!!
  • I suck at technology so I'm pretty sure no one can see the picture :( I'll post it on my profile I guess!
  • guess we all have battle wounds then :)
  • France! but I've been living in Cincinnati, OH for 3 years now!
  • thank you for all the opinions. given that I eat really healthy, I guess I'm fine only eating 1200. I changed back my settings to lightly active though, just cause that way maybe I'll eat back a little bit of my exercise calories. It now gives me 1350 calories. not a big change but maybe one more snack! I never like to let…
  • No starchy things for diner except for a tiny dinner roll. No food after 9pm (after dinner basically, I try to have dinner late so I don't get hungry again) Patience.
  • thanks for all your advice. I eat really healthy now ( I say now because before starting this whole lifestyle change I was hooked on junk food and indian take-out!) so I know I'm giving my body what it needs. I just want to make sure my settings are right because yes, I want to loose weight, but I don't want to "hurt" my…
  • Don't worry, you will get there. MFP is a tremendous help! I started at 245 pounds 2 months ago (I'm 5"3') and am already down 21 pounds. Exercise was hard for me to start, I started 1 month ago and the 1st week was hell...now I love it!! Don't see it as a diet. See it as a lifestyle change. That's what I did and I will…
  • pasta, especially spaghetti. they look like nothing in your plate with only one serving :(
  • LOL I know people get competitive when it's about how we look I guess :) thanks for the link, I'll check it out!
  • nope, not medical advice! I'm just trying to go over and it's hard. I've replaced all of my "white" carbs with whole grain though. I'm still over by a few grams most days :( I just love them so much haha I just hope that reducing them will help lose more weight!
  • Thanks that's a really good idea!!
  • alright alright guy, no need to get angry, I was just trying to get some advice here :) we're all lifting for different reasons so of course we all have different methods!
  • Thank you for this explanation, it makes sense!
  • Thanks guys, I'm not THAT stupid. I've already lost 20 pounds following my diet, I was just wondering about how to count them. We all know that there are good carbs and bad carbs, just like there are good fats and bad fats. Thanks for the help though
  • thanks! I should have been more precise though...my snacks are usually sweet! I don't think I could eat eggs and even less tuna for snacks. Nuts sound good though!!
  • Yes! I just started measuring myself last week! I'm excited to see if I see results on this :)
  • What I did is I didn't give mysel a goal weight or a deadline. I'm just gonna lose weight and see how it goes.. But it still is frustrating to not see results after all the efforts :)
  • I can totally relate. I wonder where my 20 pounds went. because even though I can feel a sliiight little difference in my clothes, I haven't noticed a different size. I tried on some pants one size down from before the other day, and they didn't fit :(
  • Grilled salmon with broccoli and oven baked tiny potatoes :)
  • keep up the good work!!! the difference is already amazing!!
  • Thank you all so much for the advices. I am pretty knowledgeable about nutrition, what's good for you and what's not, but I never thought it could be that complex!! I will definitely change things up a bit! and I started taking my measurements today so that will help a lot I'm sure!! Thank you thank you!!

  • Yeah I do that too, I need a yummy snack sometimes! I think I got used to eating better because I feel so much better now that I stopped eating like a 4 year old (fries-cheese sticks-chicken nuggets used to be all I would eat for days ha!) and like you said, I find myself not really craving the old stuff I used to eat. I…

  • I am eating the same meals a lot, never thought of it as being an issue but you might be right! I'll try to change that :) As for the fake sugar I hate it and try to stay away from it. I hate the after-taste, ughh. Thanks for the suggestions!!
