You really have to decide what you want to use it for. The Fitbit keeps track of all your steps, and flights of stairs and shows you how many of each you do along with how many calories you burn.

Yes, your going to have to open up your diary. Also, have you measured yourself. Sometimes you'll lose inches, but gain weight due to gaining muscle.
