  • Just added you. I'm a returner too. Let's keep each other motivated & good luck
  • Exercising really early morning or at dusk works. Drink lots of chilled water. Also, do you have access to a pool? Swimming would work but again, keep your fluids higher than normal
  • I wear the Gap Active wear leggings in black. They're excellent value & have a bit of support. I have a few pairs, I wear them for yoga, gym & running. Perhaps give them a try. Otherwise yes a short fitness skirt or pair of light shorts would preserve your modesty.
  • That's excellent. You're doing the right thing, keep going
  • Wow! That's an amazing loss. Really inspiring!
  • Egg white omelettes are good, also Turkey breast is low fat & high protein. Take a look at some paleo diet resources. I use paleo leap but there are lots available. You'll quickly find lots of ideas. Foods such a quinoa & Greek yogurt are also high protein. Good luck on your journey.
  • Welcome and well done for joining. MFP is fantastic and full of amazing people offering support and advice to everyone. Feel free to add me as a friend and best of luck on your journey. The first step is always the hardest and you've done that today. All the best ;)
  • Hey! We've all done it. I do my best not to get maudlin about it, pick myself up, do a bit of extra exercise and move on. It's easy to get bogged down with what you didn't do but look at what you did do. You stayed on track for all that time. I think reading over your post again might give you an idea of some of the…
  • I've only just started looking at these. It can be quite confusing; have you looked on www.myprotein.com? There appears to be some quite good information on there. Good Luck!
  • I find I go through phases with this; but am keeping myself motivated by being more active - both on MFP and outdoors. Slow and steady wins the race. Hang in there ladies you can do it! Add me as a friend if you like, we can support each other. Good luck
  • Sounds like a good plan! Best of luck. Add me as a friend if you like. This is a great site.
  • morning! I appreciate your feelings as I had a similar experience when I started. Are you drinking enough water? Also, are you consuming high fat or salty foods? This could be contributing to water retention which can cause weight gain. Also, try and refrain from caffeinated drinks and carbs in the evenings. This really…
  • I was feeling like this a few months ago, then I tried drinking more water, going for walks at lunchtime (which up the calorie output) and increasing my intake of iron and B vitamins. I did still have to force myself to the gym after work but found by reasoning with myself to "do 15 minutes then see how I feel" I always…
  • I read this post with interest and totally empathise with the frustrations so many of us feel. Until women stand up for themselves by refusing to be defined by their body size or with whom they have a relationship (Wags etc.) & demand respect for what they do and who they truly are this will continue. The changing size of…

  • thank you for posting this topic; I'm in exactly the same position. I'll be mixing it up and hopefully should see some difference and totally agree, the scales are only 1 way of measuring weight loss. Your clothes and measurements will also suggest how you're doing. Good luck with your weight loss everyone.
  • welcome and good luck! If you've done it before you can definitely do it again. I've never dieted before so am learning every day. Feeling stronger, fitter and healthier is a great motivation. We can do it!

  • Hello from sunny London! This is a great site! I hear you on the chocolate, I've been off the stuff for a month now and it does get easier. Especially when you calculate how many calories you need to burn down the gym to work it off. A great leveller! Good luck and welcome!
  • Hello! How're you doing? Great profile pic! Manchester is cool
  • Welcome! this site is awesome and my friends have saved me from the doldrums on many occasions. Good luck with your weight loss/fitness and I'll send you a request.
  • Absolutely not. Any pain when running needs to be addressed seriously. Have you got appropriate shoes? Best to get the correct shoes for your gait, weight and pronation as you could exacerbate an injury otherwise.I would do something non weight bearing instead of your usual run and wait until your knee is better before…
