Mumford and Sons has been good to me while I have been increasing my mileage. Their current album takes me 5 miles and the mix of beats works well with keeping me on a comfortable pace

Thanks for the replies. I will have to think about my posture, never really considered it before. I was quite tense about increasing my distance so maybe that is effecting me too. Today was a rest day so we will see tomorrow.

I'm doing it too. No loss in weight but an overall 1.5 inches down
-
I did it! After walking/running 5 miles today, wow I'm tired now!
-
Did day 10 yesterday. My weight is the same, Pms is making me bloated so I'm disappointed with the same weight. I have lost 1.25 inches overall

Twice this week someone at work commented! Super excited!

I couldn't pull myself together for anything else today but I forced myself to shred. Feel good afterward. You say level 2 felt like day 1 again...now I'm scared! :)

My scale hasn't gone up or down. I'm holding off measuring until Thursday which will be day 10. Crossing fingers, I feel skinnier so that's a plus!
-
Completed day 5 after taking a very pathetic run! Day 5 did seem easier.

Side lunge with the front raise is the worst! I hate that one.
-
Day 4 complete. Its the first time I've attempted this that I actually did 4 days in a row!
-
Day 3 in the books!

I'm in! Here are my starting measurements Weight: 167 Thigh: 23.5 Waist: 35 Hips: 41.3 Bust: 38

Couch to 5k made me a runner
-
That sounds like a good rule of thumb. Thanks!

I'm not any help but I also gained a lot after stopping the pill and now have terrible acne too. Interested in others experiences. I have considered starting the pill again but I had serious anxiety while on it.

Today was my second 5k since finishing the program in September. It was 25 degrees at the start and I finished in 34.15 almost a full minute faster than my first one!
-
The only modification I made was I actually ran 3 miles a week earlier than scheduled because of the 5k. I thought while doing some days I would need to repeat but instead pushed through, so much of it mental. Your brain starts telling you to quit long before your body needs to. The hardest part for me was going from week…

I started C25k in August and ran my first 5k September 29. I was NEVER a runner! I was never athletic. C25k is the most amazing program, you will love it! There are days that are tough but once you breakthrough the feeling is amazing. I have continued running 3 times a week and while I'm not as fast as my friends I am…

Thanks for all this info! When I went to the running store I had explained that about a month ago I had bought a brand new pair of New Balance and was somewhat reluctant to buy another $100 pair. I asked if there were inserts that could help and he showed me some that he said might make feel better until I was ready for…

I just started it on Saturday and am doing it the days I don't run

Bump

I just finished and am down 10lbs. Not as much as I would've liked BUT clothes are fitting that before I started c25k were collecting dust in the closet. Last weekend I did my first 5k in 35 minutes, my training runs were at 38 and 40 minutes so I was excited for my time. I started the program with the goal of being able…

Awesome! Congratulations!

I learned about the program at the website coolrunning.com. It is a program that gradually builds you up so at 9 weeks you should be able to run 5k. I also have an app that gets me through the workout with prompts. It is a wonderful program, many people who were first timers at the 5k used it.

Love The Secret! Be sure to read the follow up books!
-
Go for it! I should be starting week 8 tomorrow but I'm running my first 5k
-
Thanks! Today was my last run before Saturday, resting tomorrow and Friday. I've heard the other runners at a race tend to push you along a bit, true?
-
I started 8/13 and was 180, never ever run before. It was hard the first few weeks but then you will have break through week and it will get easier. You will start to really look forward to runs and for me it had a lot to do with being able to see how far I could get each day. The sense of accomplishment is something that…

Today was Day 2 and rather than stick with the program I decided to just keep running and see how far I could get before I had to stop........3.22 miles in 40 minutes. Actually I stopped because I knew I did the 5k distance, I probably could've gone farther but didn't want to over do it. So I know I can do the course on…
