Hi all!
I am new to the whole C25K program and am looking for motivational and supportive friends who I can share this journey with.
I am hoping to start a modified program where I wil try and complete the C25K program as a walking challenge so that I can firstly build up my fitness, my confidence, and get use to the speeds I want to work at before starting it again as a running program. Again with confidence I will be starting this program on the treadmill before I venture outside. I have already downloaded the C25K app for my iPod and am extremely motivated to start this as I have heard only good things about the program
I would appreciate any support and motivation to help me along the way.

I started C25K less than three months ago and my last run was 60 minutes. I can't say enough good things about C25K. When I started, I was breathless @ 90 seconds of running. I've come so far and I never could have done it without the program. Good luck!0

Today I did W3D1 and I did it! I had to push myself through it but I did it. I was concerned because I had to push myself last week to get through the 90 second runs. Today I got up and just went out and did it and I wasn't nauseous or dizzy like last week so I am getting stronger. I am 47 and 100 pounds overweight, if I can do it you can do it!0

My friend and I are starting Week 5 tomorrow and let me say I LOVE it! When we started 3-4 minutes and we were exhausted. We went for the end of Week 4 Saturday and we both had THAT running moment. The moment you enjoyed your run and didn't want to stop! But we're following the plan strictly so we did.
Completely and utterly worth it! It'll be hard at first, but just keep at it!!0 -
Wow! You are all so inspiring! I really can't wait to start this program now!0

I started C25k in August and ran my first 5k September 29. I was NEVER a runner! I was never athletic. C25k is the most amazing program, you will love it! There are days that are tough but once you breakthrough the feeling is amazing. I have continued running 3 times a week and while I'm not as fast as my friends I am running 3+ miles each time. I would still be on the couch if not for this program. PS I have lost 10 pounds but even better I'm down 3 holes on my belt and clothes that were way too tight in August fit great.0

Very inspiring katrina! Did you modify the program or repeat weeks when you first started? I have heard/read that you can repeat weeks, but not sure on how many times you can repeat a single week.0

The only modification I made was I actually ran 3 miles a week earlier than scheduled because of the 5k. I thought while doing some days I would need to repeat but instead pushed through, so much of it mental. Your brain starts telling you to quit long before your body needs to. The hardest part for me was going from week 5 to week 6 day 1. If there was a point the idea of repeating was strong it was there. Just be sure you run at a pace comfortable for you, don't worry about the time. When I run with friends I run faster and can't go as far as when I'm alone.0
