I am a primary care provider, I prescribe Victoza regularly for T2DM. I use Victoza because it is a branded medication and there are co pay cards available on the Victoza website to help reduce copays. I myself am pre-diabetic and have used Victoza. I can only tolerate the 0.6 mg dose daily due to issues with constipation…

I want to track my food intake every day of lent; exercise for 30 minutes at least 5 days per week (if I don't have the opportunity to exercise that day - to at least hit my 10,000 steps); with the ultimate goal of losing 20 lb.

I lost close to 60 lbs in a very short time. The funniest thing said was: Can I see your stretch marks and sagging skin? My response: I don't have sagging skin...and if you show me your stretch marks....I will show you mine! The most annoying: You are so skinny! Compared to how I use to be...yes...but I am not skinny...I…

I take two Citrucel Fiber caplets per day to make certain I get enough fiber.

Nurse Practitioner Student here... Just wrote a paper on fatigue. There is no evidence to suggest that weight loss helps to alleviate symptoms of fatigue. Have all organic causes been ruled out (meaning all labs are normal and physical exam normal)? If so, the evidence does show that the only two things that have been…

Try unsweet almond milk...it helps me keep my carbs in check while still getting the calcium.

Ii lost a considerable amount of weight on a 1000-1200 calorie diet 6 years ago. My goal weight was 150. The problem was I gained it all back. This time around I increased my calories and stick to healthy foods. I onle exercise about 3 hours or so per week, mostly walking and light weight training. I am currently in the…

Post-menopausal here and working for me. I limit my carb intake to about 100 net carbs per day, which is not hard if you stick to whole foods.

Your TDEE -20% has your exercise calories figured in. Moderate exercise is 3-5 hours per week, so therefore you should probably up your exercise to the next level. Once you figure out your TDEE -20% based on that, I would shoot for that number daily. That has been what I am doing and I am consistently losing about 1 - 1.5…

If you eat a healthy diet...you don't need multivitamins. Everything you don't utilize you pee out. As far as your thyroid...regulate your synthroid based on your TSH levels...don't mess with the supplements!

First of all...find a new physician. Better yet, find yourself a Family Nurse Practitioner ( of course I am a bit biased, I graduate in May of next year). I would never let a patient walk out the door until all of their questions answered. I am insulin resistant, and carried alot of my weight around my midsection (good…

Look into the group Eat More Weigh Less. I was a lifetime WW member who eventually gained all my weight back. Have done medical supervised weight loss (no crazy injections, just high protein supplements). Am totally back on "real food" with about 15 lbs. yet to lose. For the first time in my life I am eating 1400-1600…

I never like the idea of cutting out an entire food group. I may limit how much I consume, but never deny it entirely.

Me too! I had two sections...the last one 14 years ago. I am doing the Brazil Butt Lift and my tummy is slimming down. That and the loss of 50+ lbs. and a low carb diet.

1. Can almost fit into the dress I wore for my graduation from graduate school 6 years ago. 2. I don't look half bad in a two piece swim suit!!! 3. Chaperoned my daughter's eight grade graduation dance on Friday night and some of her friends told me I "look taller" after losing weight.

I take 1/2 tablet of phenteramine every morning. It is a prescription appetite suppressant. Have been taking it since the first week in January as part of a physician supervised weight loss program. It is not without its side effects...it can cause high blood pressure, tachycardia, insomnia, and dry mouth to name a few. I…

Margo...I don't know when my TOM would have been (hysterectomy many years ago), however, I do retain water on occasion so I am assuming that is when TOM would have been. First of all, don't weigh yourself everyday. If you must, then you have to realize that there are multiple factors that can make the number go up and down…

I do my BBL workout in the basement...no windows. My 13 year old daughter has watched me a few times. Her only comment was "you don't wiggle like the girls do." My response..."I am almost 50...and don't think I ever wiggled like those girls...even when I was in my 20's!"

I am finally able to do the turns in Cardio Axe after 4 weeks. Up until now I have been afraid I would hurt myself...I really lack coordination!

I use a heart rate monitor with chest strap. You can get a basic Polar online for about $60.

There are many types of workouts...one for a flatt butt, one if you are pear shaped, and one (which I am doing) for the big butt solution.

I am 5'4" and have the same problem. I am high waisted, therefore I am shorter through my upper body. I am just more comfy on all 4s.

I just completed week 4, and thus far have lost a pant size. Not following to the letter, but doing thw workout the majority of the time.
