EXACTLY.

You're most likely right. Thing is, if I ate sane amounts of food in the past, I'd not even be in a position to need anything like Slimming World.... They can't tell a person with a poor relationship to food that they can eat LITERALLY (it's in black and white) as much pasta and rice as they want. That's just downright…

"At Slimming World Free Foods can be eaten in unlimited quantities" I weighed 330 lbs at one stage BECAUSE I ate unlimited quantities of potatoes, rice, pasta. Especially pasta. Such a statement is misleading, ridiculous and dangerous. Sure, they MEAN without certain LIMITS, but that not what UNLIMITED means to someone…

The fact that something like reasonable amounts of olive oil is demonised on SW and pasta and rice is encouraged is the reason why I joined for one meeting, and my brain would not allow me to continue. They were also trying to sell processed chocolate trail bars on the first night, trying to say how healthy it is. The…

People around me just looked at the crazy man at the PC shouting "Oh my Sweet F****g Lord." Impressive. :)
-
Feel free to add me - lost 88 lbs in 2010, gained all but 45 lbs of that back. Back to the grindstone! Only 125 lbs to go!

You've went from looking like the mom to looking like the daughter. Awesome stuff.

I've had the Ultra and Zip from Fitbit, both excellent. I passed the Zip along to a friend, so am without tracker. To save cash, I tried the nike+ footpod with my iPhone, and despite not being faulty, it simply won't sync up to the Nike+ webpage. Infuriating. So to hell with it the Withings Pulse is out at the middle of…

Joined SW tonight, gonna take a week to get my head around rice, potatoes and indeed pasta being free as long as it's dried (fresh pasta is a syn), and fruit free unless you use it in a smoothie, in which case it becomes a syn... Also tinned fruit is a syn, but fresh or frozen fruit isn't, It doesn't mention draining. I'e…

Scott has now done an AMA on Reddit, worthy reading!! http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/1ezre8/by_request_im_scott_the_guy_with_cerebral_palsy/

Yeah, I definitely would NOT post anything homophobic. :)
-
I don't, this came up in my reddit feed. (occasionally, reddit isn't quite so useless. :) )

WELL DONE!

Superb transformation!

Before I lost it the fitbit ultra kept me walking. Did 32k steps one day even. Ordered the fitbit zip to motivate me again.
-
I've had the bodymedia fit, fitbit ultra, and considered the fuel band. First was too expensive to run, fitbit rocked before I lost it. The Nike seems too damned expensive for what it is. So I've just ordered a fitbit zip.

Yup, I've a bodybugg and a good HRM. Use a HRM for measuring heart rate (and optionally, distance, speed, pace, GPS position, cadence), and a Bodybugg for measuring calories. It usually has a yearly or monthly cost though. I stopped using mine though, but I DO recommend it. I stick to certain variable calorie limits now,…

I have the 305, checked out the 310xt first, it didn't offer much more for a huge increase in price. Prefer the styling of the 305 too. I use mine for weight-training, walking, running and biking (with GPS outdoors, and when I get an indoor trainer for the bike, using the additional bike computer addon, cheaply bought). It…

Tom Venuto in his "Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle" book extols the virtues of deliberate zigzagging. Theory seems sound to me - don't let the body plateau, don't let the metabolism slow down, occasional proper refuelling of glycogen. Trying it out since Sunday. If nothing else, it leads to vastly more careful meal planning…

Aweeeee some!!!

Excellent progress....!

you got a C2000 for $100?? wow.... paid £600 for mine. :) Treadmill workout Generator is free, use a cheapie blank SD card, put your own programs into the treadmill! Even does the voice prompts for you, as it automatically adjusts incline and speed.
-
Another option - Treadmill workout Generator is excellent free software, you just need a cheap SD card blank. I use it to program my own version of Couch to 5K workouts. E.g. 5mins @ 3mph, 90secs @ 7mph, 2mins @ 3.5mph, and so on......

Couch to 5K.

awe. some. :)

I've never had a HRM not totally overestimate calorie usage. I use a Bodybugg for measuring that. I use a HRM for checking heart rate only. Well, in my case it's a Garmin 305, so also for checking distance and bike speed / walking pace too, but deffo not calorie usage. Hope this helps a little at least. :)

so, how did it go??
-
nice one. :)
-
way to go. :)

MUCH kudos.... :)
