Thanks everyone! I haven't been following any specific diet, just trying to eat as few processed foods as possible and keep my deficit at around 1000 calories. I did watch "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead" and get a juicer and start juicing as well, but that was only 3 weeks ago. I've given myself a cheat day every Saturday…

A lot of foods don't list potassium content on the labels so don't have the info in the database. I find that if I just log that stuff, I don't hit my goal. But if I look up comparable stuff in the nutrition database, my potassium is often on point or even a little over.

Sometimes the things people enter are wrong. You have to use your judgement. I would have done the same thing you did.

It's hard to give advice without seeing what you have been eating, but I would suggest brown lentils for protein and other beans as well. Brown lentils are highest percentage-wise in protein aside from soy.

My knees are always always like that. Like, I've never squatted down and not heard my knees pop, at least not in the last 10 years. I've just accepted it.
-
I use mine all the time every day. I would say get one if you're really intent on making sure your portion sizes are accurate. I'm super serious about that stuff, myself.

This.

I like 1 and 3 but 3 is a little more casual so I would probably go with that. Also, you look nowhere close to horrible in those pictures. Just sayin'.

I had this problem too, but it was after my 2nd workout A. The only thing I could think of was that it might have been from moving the plates onto and off of the bar for my squats. I don't know though, it could have been anything.

I'm only in stage 1 but I've been using jefit and it works fine for me...

I started on Monday too, and my gym only has a Smith machine. I did my squats with 30 lb dumbbells in each hand, but I didn't really get sore or anything. My legs have always been pretty strong, but my upper body really weak, so I don't know if I could handle carrying heavier weights than that. Should I just use the Smith…

You sound a bit like me, I'm 5'7" I started at 240 lbs and I'm currently 212 lbs, hoping to lose some weight and gain strength if nothing else. I have another 20 lbs to lose before I'm no longer obese, so I'm hoping this will help. I did workout A1 on Monday and I'm planning on doing 3 workouts a week and to continue to do…

Buckyballs.

I've never liked breakfast so I don't force myself to eat it now. I still lose weight.
-
Yeah, ever since I started paying closer attention to my weekly deficit I've started losing more on a consistent basis. I do a "spike" day every Saturday that I "save up" for. It works for me!

I weigh every day. I tried weighing once a week but having a bad weigh in after a week made me feel much worse than watching it inch up over the course of a week. So I just decided to give in to my ocd tendencies.

Hi! I've been an ovo-lacto vegetarian for 16 years. Feel free to add me, anyone looking for veggie friends!
-
I've always been possessive over my food. I have no idea why, I just never learned to share. Yes, it's a bit worse now, but I've always always been like that. I would rather buy someone their own food than share mine. I'm weird.

Bump bump BUMP!

WOW! You look AMAZING! You look so much younger! Congrats!

I'm 29 and working on finding a job. I'm 5'7", currently 220 and my goal is 145 though I'm not sure it's realistic. I love friends and love to give support and encouragement! Feel free to add me!
-
Well, you seem to be inundated with support here, but I'm always looking for new friends of any gender, creed, or orientation. Feel free to friend me if you want support on your journey!

You look awesome! I'm coming up on the end of phase 2 myself and I haven't lost much weight at all (like 2 lbs) but I'm hoping when I take my measurements and pics I'll be happy. Phase 1's results were a bit disappointing.
-
I just admitted to myself a couple of weeks ago that weighing every day is probably the best for me. I had a week where I stayed off the scale and thought I had done really well but had gained like 4 lbs at the weigh in. It threw me into a depression until a minor chocolate binge which paradoxically made me feel better.…
-
OMG. I went through a phase when I would get up every morning and Mousercise! If I recall correctly, my parents were worried about me during that phase.
-
Woo! One-derland! Congratulations, I can't wait to join you there!

This is really off for me. It's saying like 30% when everything else I've done is in the 40-45% range. I'm not sure why it comes out this way, but definitely not right.

I got one for my mom for mother's day last year and she shared it with me. It was very very tasty, I would love to get one myself!

You look awesome! Almost like a different person!
