I'm 25 and looking for other friends as well! Currently I have fallen in love with lifting heavy and would love to meet other fellow lifters! Add me!

Thanks for the input everyone!

That is a great plan!

I know what the word moderation means. But it seems that individuals have their own definition of moderation, for example, some people may think eating pizza in moderation is once a week or for others once a month. I just wanted to hear how other people defined it for themselves.

Give it some more time and stick with it. It took me two months to lose eight pounds and 2.5 weeks is not a very long time. DO NOT rely on the scale. It is truly the devil. Take progress pictures often and measure yourself. I agree with other people that you may need to up your calories a bit especially since you are…

It will definitely help! Like the post earlier you should definitely add some strength training to your routine.

Awesome job! Congrats!

So amazing!!!! Congrats!!!!

This thread is absolutely amazing! I love reading about all the progress stories and looking at everyone's before and after photos! Question for you ladies though: I am 5'4, weigh 129 pounds, and I'm looking to lose some fat and gain lean muscle. I run for 30 minutes every day and then lift heavy for 30 minutes after that.…

I don't think it will hurt you. In my opinion, that calorie limit seems too low if you are just starting out. If your body is used to eating for example, 2,000 calories every day I think you would see results if you just cut down a few hundred calories. Then, if you hit a plateau you could cut a couple hundred more to…

Breakfast is the MOST important meal that you can eat. It gets your metabolism moving as soon as you wake up, rather than just sitting there until you eat lunch. Think of your body/metabolism as a car, if a car has no fuel it will not go anywhere. Well, if your body has no fuel (food) your metabolism will not be burning…

Started to focus on what foods will fuel my body rather than give me "empty" calories. Also, I workout to Beachbody programs which are amazing!

Do not worry about the scale, if you are losing inches than you are making progress. Focus on how you feel and notice things like your clothes fitting better and seeing more definition. Results will come it just takes some time! As a woman our weight can fluctuate every day because of the hormones, estrogen, water weight,…

I understand what you're saying but as you can see by my profile picture I am not a food addict. I workout hard six days a week and eat clean for every meal up until one meal where I eat something that I enjoy that is not usually a part of my meal plan. Do I enjoy eating healthy food? Yes. But, do I also like to have a…

Thanks for the comments everyone! I like the idea of it being called a 'reward' rather than a 'cheat' meal, too! This is the concept that I normally stick with but after hearing some people say it will hinder progress that was made that week I started to second guess it. So, I thought I'd ask for other people's opinion to…

I suggest you give it one more try. I don't use the jump rope but you do need an agility ladder. You can buy one of those from Beachbody. But they are really fun workouts and they go by fast!

I weigh myself once a week on Thursday morning's. I like this method b/c I'm not obsessing over the scale and your weight can fluctuate a lot from day to day. Also, you should focus on inches more than the scale. I'd suggest measuring yourself once/month. Inches matter more than what the scale says because you can be…

Yes, there is such a thing as a runner's high. When you do any type of exercise your body releases a chemical called endorphins which acts as a pain receptor in the brain. Also, it is responsible for a euphoric feeling during and after exercise. The runner's high saying comes from runners that run long distances because…

Like the others said I would suggest doing something after you eat dinner. Keep yourself busy and better yet don't have that type of food in the house! When you are about to indulge ask yourself "Is eating this junk really worth sabotaging my dreams of having the body I want?" That taste only lasts about twenty minutes or…

I'm starting tomorrow as well! Come on y'all letssss GOOOOOOO!!!

WOW! WOW! WOW!

I could have had a chocolate chip cookie and an ice cream sandwich but instead I had a cup of apple sauce.

You are absolutely right about my body needing it, especially when I am older!
-
That is not something that I would be very happy about!

MFP has helped me lose 7 lbs in the 9 weeks that I have been using it. There really is no trick to losing weight it is really just as simple as cutting back on calories and exercising. However, you can't just cut back on the junk you are eating and expect to change your body. With exercise you need to fuel your body with…

Amazing job!

That is my favorite thing to do at the end of every day!

It does work very well. I am addicted to it. I started using it six weeks ago when I started the TurboFire program and I have lost 6 lbs (1 lb each week). And I'll admit I do have a few drinks on the weekends and I allow myself a cheat meal every now and then. But I just track it in the food log and make sure it won't hurt…

YOU LOOK AMAZING! LIKE A TOTALLY DIFFERENT PERSON!

I am so glad I just discovered this group! This is exactly what I posted about last night! I always drink on the weekends and I felt terrible until I saw this group, it is great! Question that I have is what do ya'll drink? Cause my fav drink is Miller Lite but I feel like I need to focus on low-cal drinks. Jessica
