Highest weight - 168lbs (aged 31 after the birth of my first child - ate too much and didn't exercise) Current weight and BF% - 137lbs (struggling a little with my diet but exercising at least 3 times a…
  • This is a great thread as I have a real battle in my head with calories. I have around a stone to lose and all I seem to do is lose a lb, gain a lb. I successfully lost 3 stone after having my 2nd child doing slimming world but the weight has crept on. I gained around 8lbs over the Christmas holiday and have not shifted…
  • Hi. I've started reducing my carbs and upping my protein but can,t really say I am doing paleo at the moment but I do want to try this as I have heard good things about it. I am in the UK. I have Been struggling with my diet but try to work out 3-4 times a week usually circuit training and body pump classes. I feel fitter…
  • Hi all. I am in the uk and I'm 39 about to qualify as a midwife after spending the last 5 years studying (2 at college and the past 3 years doing my degree at university) I have around 14lbs to lose but finding studying/shift work don't mix well with dieting. Anyone feel free to add me. I could do with some like minded…
  • I'm in the uk too so feel free to add me. I joined a white ago but relapsed so I'm back. Would like to lose around a stone
  • Hi all joining in thread as I've just started logging again after a couple of months break. I'm 39 and around 5ft1 and live in the UK. I have always had to work hard to maintain my weight and every extra lb seems to show up when you are shorter. I am currently 139lbs (9st 13) after gaining weight at christmas and not…
  • I'm in the uk so not familiar with some of the us models but I drive a 2006 ford fiesta. It's not particularly special but its reliable and gets me to and from work. Hoping to change to something bigger in next couple of years but not sure yet. Love the Range rover evoke and Audi q3 but don't think I will get getting…
  • Well done,you look amazing :)
  • Hi, I'm from the Midlands, joined last summer, managed to lose a little and piled it all back on over christmas so I've started logging again and exercising. Anyone feel free to add me :)
  • Hi I gained around 2st with my first and only got to 32wks but was overweight before pregnancy and over ate (eating for two was definitely my catchphrase of the time). Second time around I gained around a stone and a half (got to 40wks) as I'd managed to get to a healthy weight pre-pregnancy, it took me a few months to get…
  • I'm in the Midlands- feel free to add me anyone! I joined a while back but went off the rails a little over christmas and gained all the weight I'd lost so I'm back on it!
  • I went to the gym this morning and did 20 mins on the treadmill (10 mins was running, the other 10 was a fast walk on 3.0 incline =160 cals burnt), 20 mins on the cross trainer (240 cals burnt), I also did lots of abdo crunches and did strength training, lat raises, leg curls, tricep kickbacks and tricep dips, hip…
  • I used to hate all kinds of exercise and I've never been any good at running. I started off doing body pump last year which I LOVE because I've found I love weights, I love the feeling of getting stronger and leaner, the music is great and really gets you motivated. From this I have now progressed to circuit training -…
  • I do different shifts but always find I lose weight when I'm on nights. I'm guessing because I miss out lunchtime meal as I'm sleeping off my night shift. I do 4 nights in a row and often drop 2-3lbs but it evens back out again when I'm back on day time shifts.
  • I'm glad I found this post as I'm due to work my first set of night shifts since starting logging on MFP. Tonight is my first night and I don't sleep before starting nights so I will have had my usual 3 meals before I go. I've some fruit and a yoghurt to take with me for when I get hungry and I've got a special k cereal…
  • Excellent attitude to have, well done, you rock!
  • Ok here goes, been doing this about a month now and not really lost any weight but i've gone from zero exercise to working out at least 3 times a week. Today I wore my uniform trousers that I've knot worn for 3 months and they feel looser even though my scales say I am heavier now. The sun has been shining here in the uk…
  • Mine was last taken about 3 months back by the nurse when I went for contraceptive check. I had been rushing to the appointment and it was before I started any regular exercise and was 130/80 I'd be interested to see if regular exercise and a better diet has lowered it
  • Chocolate but it has to be cadburys
  • I know what you mean, I'm 5ft 1 and people actually think I am lighter than I am. I'm currently 130lbs but would love to get to 119lbs but I don't think that will happen. I'm not a small framed 5ft 1 for example I have big feet/hands. I've also always had muscley legs so I'm never going to be model thin as much as I would…
  • I am having a similar hard time, I'm 37 but have noticed that losing weight is getting harder, in my 20's I just needed to cut out junk food and I'd lose 2-3lbs in a week. Now, I'm eating 1200 cals a day (or less), I've gone from doing zero exercise to doing 3 classes a week, circuit training, body pump/body combo and the…
  • Hi, really wanted to say hey, I'm in the UK but I'm a student midwife, I've just started year 2, semester 1 of my course (3 years). I definitely find it harder to lose the weight because at uni I want to eat comfort food from the canteen and when I am working on my placement I do shifts and it's hard to stick to a diet -…
  • Wow, looking good, keep up the great work and well done :)
  • Hi, I'm in the Midlands, feel free to add me too :) Welcome to mfp and good luck xx
  • I've cut out bread a lot, I still eat it but probably no more than 2 slices a week (and I've swapped to Kingsmill 50/50 instead of our ordinary white bread as kids don't like wholemeal) I try and think of alternative lunches rather than sandwiches but I don't miss bread all that much, I do love homemade or fresh bakery…
  • I'm 5ft 1 and have another 9lbs to lose, would love to get down to 112lbs but have set my goal higher as I'm never going to get that low!
  • My arms are my weak point and ditto holding my body weight, find tricep dips hard too and not great at the plank but getting better now I'm doing regular classes
  • I'm 5ft 1 and I started off at 132lbs, after week 1 I'm down to 130lbs and have set my goal weight as 121lbs but I may re-evaluate when I get there, my lowest recent weight about 2 years ago was 118lbs so I think I'd find it difficult to get below that as I'm not particularly small boned. My highest weight was 165lbs after…
