Thanks all! Lots of great ideas. Think I’ll try just doing maintenance calories on the weekend and trying a deficit during the week. I do some pre-logging but it’s hard when we visit someone and all of a sudden it’s pizza or wings for dinner.

To look great in clothes and not be the biggest female in my family.

I hate weighing myself, I tend to obsess too much. As long as I’m working out, eating right and my clothes fit different then I use that.

I don’t like that word either. I like to call it a lifestyle change. To me, diet implies misery and something super restrictive. Just my wording preference. I also don’t tell a lot of people about my weight loss journey because I don’t want any comments or judgey looks.

Sure! I just started about 3 weeks ago. It was tough at first but I feel like I got the hang of it. Now it’s like a game...how close can I get to my goals.

I’ve done overnight oats using Greek yogurt and milk. They turned out fine.

Definitely needed this today! I'm bummed I didn't make a challenge I set for myself. On top of that I've been battling serious cravings (carbs, sweets, salty food and junk for the past few days) and am tired of tracking everything. But, I most definitely don't want to gain back the 50 I lost!!

Yay!!!

Very cool and great job!

I have done salads with egg or chicken, tuna salad and celery, rotisserie chicken with vegetables or soup. I can't stand eating the same thing week after week so I get a lot of ideas from Pinterest.

I'm new to it and really enjoy it. So far I've tried power yoga and hatha yoga.

Amazing!!!

In the past, I've also hit the weight loss wall when people start noticing my weight loss. This time is different but I'm not entirely sure why. Occasionally, I'll work out with my husband when he's up for it but usually work out alone. I hate waiting for someone else and being there forever because I have to wait. I do…

Great job! You look amazing!

Soup. In a pinch I'll get some but I like to make my own, the store bought is too salty. I don't tend to buy the frozen dinners for my work lunches anymore either.

Way to go!

When I go alone I get done ALOT faster! I like the gym but don't want to hang out all day.

You don't even look like the same person! Great message and very inspiring.

Focus on how you want to look and what it takes to get there and it'll come. For me, I was not excited about eating healthy when I started but I was determined for lose weight. Once I started noticing how I felt after eating healthy then I got excited. Give yourself some non-food rewards for reaching your goals and see if…

That's awesome! Keep up the good work. One day at a time....

Just calories and protein. I'd drive myself crazy tracking more than that.

I've suffered from both hip bursitis and sciatica pain. I went to physical therapy and was told the bursitis is a result of the lower back/sciatica pain. She also told me to really build up the core because that helps stabilize the spine and lets the muscles do what they are supposed to do. Hope that helps.

Thank you all! While I never felt bad about myself or depressed about my size, I hated taking pictures and now I love it.

Good article.

Thank you all for the feedback. I did 3 months of physical therapy and it was still aggravated. I had an X-ray and MRI that shows a moderate herniated disc in theK4-L5 area. I just had an epidural today. I did talk to him about exercise and it sounds like cycling on the regular bike (not the recumbent bike) should be ok.…

I've never used a trainer but it wouldn't stop me from hiring him. As long as he has the knowledge and I see results, who cares.

Way to go! You look amazing!

I eat healthy 6 days a week and allow one "free" day where I don't low carb count or calorie count and still managed to lose 45 pounds since January. I might have lost more if I was super strict with the count but I have no desire to feel deprived and miserable; some days I just want a big ole bowl of buttered noodles and…

I absolutely think 50 pounds in a year is doable! I have PCOS, slow thyroid and was on a ton of hormones this year and I still managed to lose 45. Don't listen to the doctor on this one!

Sounds like a great idea! My goal weight is around 160. I started out at 265ish (I'm guessing) so I'm a little less than halfway there.
