Sliders -- make little patties about 2" diameter, grill as you like it and experiment with toppings: guacamole and a tomato hat, spaghetti squash and primavera, a pickle, bacon...whatever.

Thanks for this! I've recently been using Hammer Gels, which are a little thinner than Gu and have some aminos mixed in, but would prefer to move away from the highly processed. Blackstrap molasses is on the shopping list.

My wife has AS -- diagnosed 3 years ago. She's a daily runner (about 5k) and fights through the first ten before it stops aching, also does some strength training but nothing too heavy. I hear that 'gentle' yoga can help, too, but she has not yet tried it.

Jonathan, I've been looking at the PureCadence (I put Connect earlier but was wrong about that). Currently running in Kinvara 2 for my longer runs and in the Hattori for my 8 and unders. Any comparative experience?

I wear a white hat -- keeps the sun off my dark hair and out of my eyes. I also do an intentional relaxation and form check, then lean back in. Finally, I set my timer to go off every ten minutes -- helps me track hydration and pace without glancing at the watch every minute.

I started liking running when I gave up wanting to run a certain speed and went with the 'run till you need to walk; walk until you can run again' mindset. After that, I loved it. Then discovering trail running was the final nail.
