Wow! I didn't expect so many responses so quickly. Thanks for all the advice I love to hear (read) and learn everything I can. I was in nursing school for two years and not once do I remember being as excited about that as I am about this. Probably means it is what I was meant to do. I suspected it was the type of job with…

Added you! MFP is a great place to connect and get motivated. I've successfully lost weight two times (after two babies) on here. Good luck!!

Leslie, I had a baby about 5 months ago and I want that pooch GONE. So excited you shared that with me.

Ha! To each his own. I'm planning on weaning at one year. Seems like a short time to sacrifice just for my tummy lol

Thanks for all the tips/advice. The article was great and I believe indulging as long as it's in moderation..... as for the chocolate bar every day I have a 5 month old and a two year old.... I'm not giving it up! My two year old favorite food is beans (red, black, butter.... haven't found one she doesn't like so…

Almonds. I portion out one serving in the morning and snack periodically on them throughout the day. keeps me feeling satisfied so when I go to eat a meal or snack I can make a rational decision.

I have a four month old and eat 1200 calories a day, then I eat back my nursing calories (500), and If I exercise I eat all of those calories back as well. I started out NOT eating my exercise calories, but I found I wasn't loosing weight as fast (or not at all) and my LO was waking up more often during the night. So I…

My son is four months now. I'm breastfeeding so I get being hungry all the time. Almonds and water are my secret weapons.I've found that snacking on almonds throughout the day and drinking a bunch of water really helps fight cravings. I'm down 28 since the week after I delivered. 3 lbs. lower than pre-pregnancy weight…

If I'm pushing myself physically (running up a steep/long hill) then I look down. It helps me mentally. Otherwise, I look around.

Thanks everyone. The article posted above mentioned that over-hydration could be a cause. I usually have AT LEAST ten glasses a day but probably average twelve to fourteen (Think I took the "make sure to get plenty of water while breastfeeding" to an extreme. HA!). Anyway, I've restricted myself to nine glasses a day for…

Awesome. Your doing great!

Top 3 tips would have to be to make sure to track EVERYTHING. It's so easy to go over and not even realize it. EXERCISE, EXERCISE, EXERCISE. Just do it. Even if it's only 10 minutes a day. At the beginning I had to fight the urge to rest, clean, read, watch tv {whatever} when baby girl was sleeping and I dreaded having to…

Thanks everyone! This was taken right after I had a baby so there was probably a lot of bloating going on in that picture so maybe i was looking a little bigger than I actually was. Thanks for all the awesome comments. I love MFP buddies :-)

I started dieting after I had my first baby and It took me about a month before I saw a difference in the scale (I was noticing a difference in my clothes, however). So I wouldn't worry to bad. I know it can be discouraging not seeing any results, but stick with it and you'll start seeing the numbers you want. Good luck :-)
