Hi Guys! Can I join in??

Hi Lovely Ladies Just thought I would check in with you before I brave the cold to go to my spin class! Hope you are all ok and keeping on track. Will be having my first weigh in tomorrow so I hope to have at least lost some of the holiday bloat!! Wish me luck Cathie (uk)

OMG ! I cant keep up with you lot and your wonderful posts! I weighed in this morning for my starting point (wished I hadn't!) also took measurements yesterday so I don't get hung up on what the scales are saying. Spinning tonight and again tomorrow but also booked in for a pick me up hair cut afterwards. If anyone would…

This thread is so much more helpful being able to communicate with likeminded people. I am really looking forward to my refocus xx

Ok so measurements now taken

Hi All - I'm "starting again" lost focus last year and would love your support! My resolution for 2017 is just to be happy xx
-
I need some support and would also like to BE supportive! I have been on this site a couple of years and have had great success but just need a bit more focus and having friends alongside helps with my accountability - feel free to add me :)

I had last week off as holiday (my daughter had half term) and hubby was also on holiday. My mood was revolting and i had to walk away sometimes to prevent myslef picking arguements (mainly over hubby sitting watching TV/sport). Now I am back at work, my bloating has gone off a bit, my mood is so much better as i think…

I found an app called Happy Scale on my iphone- you weigh each day and log into the app - it then calculates your average loss (or gain) over a period of weeks/months and puts it on a little chart. It works for me as now i dont get too hung up on what the scales says. I now also see just how big those fluctuations can be!…

I love hearing people success stories and yours is amazing - well done!! X

2years! Omg! I can't do this for 2 years :( the mood swings I am finding really hard to deal with....has anyone any tried and tested ways of handling them, apart from moving into a cabin deep in the woods for weeks at a time ;)

We make a good team - all hit (or due to hit) 50 in March!!

Thanks Sabine, it's good to know it's not just me. You are so right with the frustration of "weight gain" in a matter of a day. I weighed 2lbs more this morning than yesterday so I KNOW it's not fat as it should be my TOM but it hasn't arrived so I assume it's water weight. Grrrrrr.

It's public now :)

It's not a matter of the body hanging on. You eat less than you burn - you will lose fat, no way around that. It's the problem of your body slowing down what it actually burns, so you no longer are actually eating less than you burn. In other words - the Fitbit basing calorie burn on an average healthy body your age,…

Heybales - the "mildly active" is not what it actually says in MFP - I meant "lightly active" ;) I log my spinning in MFP with a start time and a hrm calorie burn so it "overwrites" my Fitbit for that 40 min period. I have a Fitbit flex. So I think what you are saying is that my calorie intake is too low and my body is…

Giving up the alcohol is easier said than done so set yourself realistic goals. I am a weekend drinker. All week it's fine then as soon as Friday eve hits I open a bottle of wine as a weekend "treat". It's a habit - I know. It's a habit I can break but it's hard. So this week I am not having any until my sons 18th party at…

Hiya - I'm in the south east and although I have been on MFP for a while, I'm a bit stuck and need some new friends to help with the last 10lbs....feel free to add me :)

Wine is my downfall too! Add me as a friend and hopefully we can cut down with each other's support!

Thanks Guys

^^^^ this....wear those stretch marks with pride! You have then because you kept your children safe and bought them into this world. I have stretch marks from my 2 kids and they are just part of "me"...... Plus there isn't much you can do to get rid of them anyway!! :):flowerforyou:

Hahahaha lmfao!!

It took me ages to pluck up the courage to spin, but I did...thought I was going to die the first time...but went back for more. I love it! Best decision I ever made and has rocked my weight loss! The first time take it at your own pace, let your instructor know you are new and don't worry if you can't keep up....it won't…

I love my guy friends on MFP! They are motivational and inspire me to push myself. They offer a balance and are really supportive. Each to their own but I love my Guy Pals
-
LOL!!!! I'm in love! :flowerforyou:

^^^^ this...I think you are probably a big teddy bear at heart.. ..and thanks for the post! ;)

I would eat back your exercise cals especially if ou have set your limit at 1200. If you don't eat back your body isn't getting enough "fuel" to cope with the exercise so you don't lose. I have recently uped my cals and stuck with my 3/4 times a week exercise - mix of cardio and strength - and I am losing again. Stick with…

I always wanted to try spinning but was overweight and hadn't exercised.....I took the plunge and it was the best thing I have ever done. I agree that it is intense and for the first couple of weeks don't even try and keep up with the experienced spinners but it wont be long before your fitness improves and you get right…

I have stuck for the last 3 weeks and am willing to try this but I must admit it does make me nervous....can I clarify with you guys so I dont crash and burn?? I have done the calculation on Fat2Fit; My BMR IS 1483 cals I work out 3-4 times a week, mix of weights and cardio so took the moderately active level of 2195 I…
