Thanks for all the insight! I do feel like for the past week or so, my weight loss has stalled. So I'm wondering if I'm eating too few calories, causing my body to hold onto every bit of fat?

@nooshi713 you can lose on 1400? I'm wondering if I am maybe eating too little? But if it is really calories in vs calories out I don't see how I haven't been losing a little bit more?

I tried that calculator too- I put in 3x a week for exercise, which again is an understatement but I'd rather go with that than overestimate it. I get 1469 with a 20% reduction in TDEE. So I'm thinking maybe I will try 1400 for now. That seems to be a good happy medium!

Hi: Thanks for your comment. I'm about 35-40lbs from my goal. I just went back onto the scooby and entered 1-3 hours a week of exercise. In actuality, I probably do more like 5-6 hours a week but some weeks I suppose it would only be 3. So I wanted to put the minimum of what I do. In this case, TDEE minus 20% gives me…

Thanks! I was thinking that today as well. I was thinking about fruit- I often will have a salad of grapes, pineapples, and strawberries and I have NO idea how to even log that. So definitely weighing it would be a plus.

This thing is nuts--even more harsh than the BMI chart. I think all of these are pretty lame b/c they don't take into account fat vs. lean muscle mass. I'm 5'0" and medium frame--and this chart says 106 was healthy. My lowest weight ever was 108 and I looked sickly, I was a 00 and did not look good at all!

Biggest one is definitely poor grammar. If you made it past the 3rd grade, you should REALLY know the difference between "you're/your" and "their/there/they're". Also, when people write or say "I should OF" instead of "should HAVE". I constantly want to correct people's grammar.

I wouldn't consider BK or McD's a "treat". If I want to get my daughter a treat, I buy her a cute toy she wants, or once in awhile grab some homemade fudge. All set with genetically engineered "meat."

Definitely focus on your diet. If running is causing pain, maybe try the elliptical? A lot of ellipticals can mimic running strides & it's low impact so it won't hurt your joints like running will. Good luck!

You can look at my diary too. A lot of the veggie meat substitutes (Morningstar, Boca) have a good amount of protein. As long as you're not going full vegan, you'll get protein from milk, eggs, etc.. Good luck!
